This place is so much fun! Come here yearly when we visit the mountains, and it is always a blast. This location has always been friendly, delicious and with a really cool decor inside. We stopped here because our normal spot next door was closed. So word to the wise, they're open during the day even though google says they aren't, when no one else is during the summer. Drinks were great -- especially the martinis -- and our bartender was beyond accommodating to our group of six. We asked him to make a strawberry martini for three of us, not on the menu, and as you can see by the photo, he killed it. Definitely recommend. read more

I don't think, or can imagine, this bar is the hopping place as depicted in the plethora of photos attached to here. Looks like it was a lot of fun back then, before change of ownership. But, it appears it happened around the start of the "pandemic" that crippled plenty of businesses. We swung in here to grab a drink and order some appetizers (to go) from the Himalayan restaurant next door, whose food we really like, while the ladies were shopping nearby. We ordered Long Island Ice Teas and the bartender, who also works the restaurant side, did a pretty good job with those. He didn't skimp on the booze and they tasted good. I'll give him two thumbs up for that! The ladies returned sooner than expected, like right after he finished making our drinks, so they quickly ordered drinks too. One of those drinks included a Martini and when asked for extra olives they were graciously supplied. The drink was not put into a traditional Martini glass, but she stated it tasted fine nevertheless haha. Nobody else came into the bar for drinks during the half hour we were there, but it was only around 1pm. I would hope that after the pandemic protocols are lifted and people start enjoying themselves out more that this little bar can get back to its former self (according to the photos and some reviews). Boy did we have fun here! The drinks are strong and pricey. But the mixologists are friendly and know their drinks. You can pretty much ask for anything and they'd whip it up. Tyler made most of our drinks and he was awesome. For some reason when I drink a lot I want a bunch of cherries in my drinks to munch on lol So I kept bugging for more cherries and he was cool about it. Bombay isn't very big, I was surprised at how small the bar is. Not a ton of seating or space but still a cool little spot to hang out and drink. I think we stayed until they closed down at like 2am. Staff were all really nice about it, no attitude or eye rolls. They didn't care if we closed down the joint lol We will be back for sure! read more

Bombay is a warm inviting lounge with a wonderful happy hour! My favorite time to visit is Wine Wednesday...$2 off ANY wine! I also enjoy the live music on Friday and Saturday... request any song, the musician can deliver!! Interesting little bar directly attached to the Himalayan Restaursnt. The decor reminded me of a mix of rustic cabin + divey karaoke bar lol. They have a standard menu of well drinks which weren't the greatest but better than what I was expecting given its location. We came during the day but I imagine it's more lively and fun at night. There aren't a whole lot of other cocktail bars in Big Bear & Club Bombay isn't a bad option at all. read more

We had a really good tim here. The bartenders were really nice and the drinks were very affordable. Live music on a Saturday night along with friendly locals made for a great time. Came here for drinks after dinner at Peppercorn on a Saturday night. It is right next to Himalayan restaurant. We were able to get seats at the bar, but it was pretty crowded. Our bartender was attentive and the drinks were strong. There was some sort of live music also in the corner. This was definitely the best bar we went to in Big Bear! read more

The ambiance was great and the music was amazing. They have a live band Friday and Saturday that can play any song you ask them too. The drinks weren't over priced. Cute little cocktail bar in Big Bear Village with fantastic customer service. My husband and I came here on a Saturday evening after a long hike. We made it just in time for happy hour which was great because it was a Saturday and they offer happy hour every day. I asked for a recommendation from the bartender since they had a bunch of cocktails that sounded delicious and she suggested the blood orange margarita with a sugar rim. It was a fantastic cocktail, lots of citrus flavor and not too sweet. My husband's hefeweizen was delicious too. We asked for a recommendation for dinner and the owner went out of his way to call in a reservation for our dinner at their sister restaurant The Peppercorn Grille. This review is solely for the bar. I had to teach the bartender how to make a Manhattan as he didn't know the three ingredients required. He poured the liquor in the mixer and walked away to prepare garnish. After two minutes, yeah, pretty watery. He graciously remade it when I explained the effect that melting ice over long periods has on a drink. Finally, I got my $11 cocktail and could tell the vermouth had gone sour. It's fortified wine guys, ya gotta refrigerate it. I think the place is under new ownership and it shows. read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Club Bombay is hands down the best bar in Big Bear. While that wouldn't take a lot this bar's service would beat even the best bars in SD. We come here every single weekend and have racked up quite the amount of drinks at times, but their prices are very reasonable. They have a great selection of beers & cocktail choices. I definitely recommend the Raspberry Lemon Drop as a go to cocktail! The owners are very hands on, friendly and always make sure you're having a good time. Shellie always gets you your drinks quickly and makes them on point! The staff here know how to turn walk in customers to weekly visitors. Keep it up guys! read more

This is one awesome place. The atmosphere was relaxed. The table arrangement was one of the best. There are a couple of small tables close to the window for people watching on the busiest street in Big Bear. We have quite a few craft cocktails and these stack up with any place in San Diego or Orange County. They just do not have the larger price tag. This owner was PHENOMENAL! We came in really late last night and saw his place wasn't open and no one was on the street. We saw him locking the door and asked if he was open and he opened up and served me and my boyfriend! He made us AMAZING drinks and chatted with us all night long. Try the pomegranate martini, sour dirty apple martini, and the white chocolate martini! This guy is great! Good company, too! We'll be coming back every time we drive to Big Bear! read more
