However as time went on they became less responsive, at one point providing no communication for 5 weeks. They never sent personalized budget sheets or planning timelines. They continued to tell us that they would keep us within our budget but then didn't help book any vendors. By the time we decided to terminate services we were 5-10k over our initial budget. Although we paid for full planning services we received very little assistance and guidance. My fiancée and I found ourselves more stressed with these wedding planners. Please don't get fooled like we did.

For a while we were like nah, we don't need a planner we got this. And we did! The problem came when the execution of the wedding itself came into play. Who would cue the entrance, who would manage the vendors, who would guide the guest transitions, who would check the audio, who would make sure the cake topper made it to the cake, who would make sure our card box got back to us safe and sound? After seeing Alejandro in action it's truly terrifying to think that we were even considering not having a same day coordinator. And let me tell you ... we picked the best of the best! I mean, seriously go to this guy's reviews and IG photos. It's obvious we are not the only ones who share our love of this man and his wedding coordination/planning skills. He was organized, positive, fun (!), and very obviously knew what he was doing. Alejandro and Sparkle Events felt like a friend or a family member who cared as much as we did about having the best wedding ever. Sometimes we'd be like ... let's do this!
