My husband and I have visited The Med three times in the last 10 days! We have brought many of our house guests that have visited from a far and EVERYONE has loved the restaurant! Today we ate Sunday brunch there and the food, ambiance and service was outstanding! They even offer 50% off all bottles of champagne for the brunch. Tommy, one of the owners, is fabulous! He joined us the end of our delicious meal and truly our family felt as if we were in Puglia at an Italian restaurant. We plan on making The Med a regular restaurant in Naples! read more

My gosh! The food! I'm sick to my stomach. I'm trying to be nice but my pasta dish was swimming in a sea of cheese sauce and I'm nauseous. My husbands chicken Milanese was apparently deep fried in the same stale oil that they fried everything else in. Nothing else to say. read more

I am so glad we discovered this placethe Med has an enthusiastic, hands-on owner, good friendly service, a nice relaxed, atmosphere both inside and outside, and very good food. The lasagna Bolognese was tender and delicious, made with a béchamel sauce instead of the usual ricotta. The Fiocchi stuffed with pears in a Gorgonzola sauce were delicate and very tasty. for me, the standout of the meal was the St. Tropez mussels. They were large, plump, and perfectly cooked; they came in a light but complex sauce, which included saffron, ginger, wine, and cream. Excellent bread which provided for sopping up the remaining sauce. The prices are reasonable for Naples for the most part. I'm looking forward to going back and having their highly recommended mustachio cake for dessert. read more

The appetizers were very good. Bruschetta, Greek salad, mussels. The chicken souvlaki entree was dry. I will come back to this restaurant. It was very cute and comfortable. A lot of the patrons were ordering the pizza. I will try that next time. read more

My favorite restaurant in the Bayshore area of Naples - the ambiance out back is so inviting with the white fringed umbrellas, garden feel and friendly staff. Every dish I have had has been like I was in my Nonna's kitchen. I can never decide if I want the thin crust truffle or margarita pizza with the Greek Salad (A MUST), lasagne bolognese, octopus, arugula salad, branzino or the roasted chicken for two with the lemon potatoes. Share as many dishes as you can because every dish is soooo good. And save room for the homemade desserts - especially the pistachio cake. The wine list is very good and reasonable too. The owner Tommy also will come around and loves getting your feedback on the dishes many are recipes of his Nonna's that he takes the time to cook slowly and with much love. He has an amazing knowledgeable staff who truly provide service with a smile. From the host and hostess, bartender and every server I have ever encountered (I'm there weekly) always feels like I'm at a friends. read more

Literally a mixed review. Location is iffy, but the interior is charming. Host was unfriendly, almost unpleasant. We split a salad, which was fine but nothing special. My eggplant entree was delicious but small, and my husband's branzino was just okay. As we were still hungry, we ordered Creme Brûlée for dessert. After a 20 min wait the server told us the Creme Brûlée was "still frozen"(!) and she couldn't serve it. We won't hurry back - too many excellent restaurants in Naples to waste time and money here. read more

Super cool vibe both inside and outside. We sat outside and it was perfect. The fire pits, shells at your feet, lights, and funky music made the moment a lasting memory for us. And that's just the ambiance. The food was great! Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. We had the gnocchi and Fiocchi Allo Zola both were perfectly prepared. Came for Sizzle which is Restaurant month in September when business is slow. Food was tasty the dish with the pear in it Fiogi very tasty. It was small but maybe because I ordered off the sizzle menu. The Italian lemon cake was moist and considering it was a price fixxe a big piece. We had great experience. This was our first time to the restaurant, we sat outside first, feeling chilly they brought us inside to a nice round table. I was very impressed with the food. Dinner or brunch - food, service and ambiance phenomenal. My usual go to items -start with the mortadella and pistachio pizza the flavors are soo good; the Greek salad, beet tartare and tuna tartare great starters and if you like octopus, please try the octopus carpaccio or modo mio. Love all the pasta but you must try the pear and Gorgonzola stuffed pasta with walnuts save room for the Veal Chop Milanese pounded thin with arugula, the lamb chops, the lemon chicken or bronzino. My advise is to go hungry and share plates. I dine there at least once a week and leave excited to return. The staff is so friendly and everyone is treated like an honored guest. Tommy welcomes you as if you were eating at his home and you truly feel as if you are They recently added brunch - which is the best I've had in Naples - dishes are as good or better than what I just had in Paris. The oueffs in cocotte melts in your mouth, croissants with salmon or avocado and prosciutto and the zucchini toast on the pugliese bread . Wash it all down with a loaded Bloody Mary or some bubbly - the bottles of champagne are half price til 2. And for a great social hour check out Le Bar out back - Cheersand Bon apetito! read more

Many problems with this place. We went at the end of October. I will just bullet the list: - They had no bread - excuse was the bakery chef did not come to work. - All of the better wines on the menu were out of stock. - I ordered Lasagna and it tasted like Costco's, only saltier. - The lasagna came from one kitchen and my wife's pasta from a food truck out back. No coordination between the servings - I got my portion 20 minutes before her's. - When I asked about this, I was told by the wattress (who seems to collect $20 bad tatoos on her arms) that I did not understand the culture and that you eat when it comes to you. We went last year and it was great. We went this week and what a change. We were with another couple and one of them ordered the branzino (had it last year and it was very moist and flavorful). I thought it looked dry but didn't say anything. the person said it tasted very dry and called over one of the managers. His response? "Would you like some sauce.?". REALLY? Didn't even offer any apologies. Any other fine restaurant would have offered what can we do? They offered nothing. Then they just left us there after the dishes were cleared for over 15 minutes when I asked for coffee and a dessert menu. was it our fault the dish was improperly cooked? Too bad-- poor service, poor food and rude and horrible owners. We love The Meds sister restaurant, Veranda E but it's like night and day with this one being ant the bottom end of tge spectrum. bad night, maybe but the fact they were so rude made it glaringly worse. Two. Stars for ambience. Outside is adorable. Fire pits, lighting. The food was not good. Pizza was tasteless, grilled vegetables were eggplant and zucchini. And finally rotisserie chicken? More tasty in Costco it was to share at $48 and not good at all. Tried more than once to enjoy this restaurant but failed. Maybe a better place to just stop and have a glass of wine. read more

March 28, 2023 Our reservation was for 7:30 p.m. for 4 - the place was not that busy. The food at the Med is wonderful - absolutely no complaints. The service however is terrible, worst we have ever had. We had a table for four - all of us first time Med diners tonight. We waited for our server to show up and take our drink order (wine/beer only). We then waited some more for him to take our order for appetizers. After we had finished our appetizers, we waited again for our server to take our dinner order - a Greek salad and mussels (for an entre) for one lady, branzino for the other, and two orders of lasagna. The salad never came and we eventually had to cancel it. The mussels arrived by themselves and sat there for about 5 minutes waiting for the other three dinner orders. Finally, two orders of lasagna showed up - and then nothing. The manager, Ciro Costanzo, noticed everyone waiting to eat and asked why ... what was missing? We told him the fourth dinner order. "Oh, they gave the order to another table - but we shall fix this." 10 minutes later the quickly prepared Branzino shows up and the four of us begin our meal. Mussels cold, Lasagna warm, Branzino terrific. So uncomfortable for everyone. We had to flag down a different server and ask her to please bring us more wine to enjoy with our dinners - knowing that we were not her table. She was wonderful and accommodated our request. Our server was slow to clear the appetizers, slow to let us re-order drinks, slow on delivering our meals - not all at one time - and slow to bring the check which we had to ask for. Very disappointing experience. While the food is very good, it doesn't really matter if you cannot enjoy it, or your meal. While Ciro asked us to return, it is unlikely we will. There are too many good choices for restaurants in Naples to have to suffer through a meal like we did. Too bad - because the manager and owner clearly want a different dining experience for their guests. We were asked not to post a review and it gave us the incentive to do the opposite. It does not matter what happens in the kitchen if the food cannot get to the table in a reasonable and coordinated manner. Try Mediterrano if you want a great meal in this category. read more
