Came here on a whim and we enjoyed it! The bread that comes with the table was good and offered variety. I really enjoyed the white bread and focaccia, but I wish the bread came warm. The olive oil and balsamic on the table is great. I had a glass of the Gavi di Gavi and it was fantastic. Every dish we ate here was good! The winner was the Cacio e Pepe pizza. Grappino delivered a really satisfying and comforting meal. We started with the meat and cheese board, which paired perfectly with their fresh bread and set the tone for the rest of the evening. The arancini and calamari were both nicely crispy, just how you want them, and the sauce served with the arancini was especially well done and flavorful. For my main, I had the ravioli with one of their pork sauces, and it was a standout the handmade noodles were excellent and clearly made with care. What a disappointment! Seated in the bakery cuz the AC was down in the restaurant. We were given a small table ( for 4) facing the western sun. We were sweltering and asked to be moved to a shady table. Glad they accommodated but why did we have to ask? 3 of 4 orders were asked for medium rare. This place has always been a weekly go to for us but almost the entire Winter has been a disappointment. The food is still wonderful but is no longer worth dealing with the bad service. The young man who manages every time we are there is downright rude and lazy. Our final straw was last week. Every table but one outside was dirty and there were about 5 tables waiting to be seated. He could not lift a finger (which is normal for him)and after waiting almost a half hour we told him we were leaving and no longer waiting and he actually seemed surprised. This has happened so many times that we won't bother anymore. There are several friendly staff but he is so arrogant and to have to deal with him every time we are in is no longer worth it. A shame because it really is a great spot if the owners would find new management. read more

We decided to check out the Sizzle menu offering at Grappino. The standard menu and special looked great so it was a tough decision! We were greeted and seated right away - with our reservation. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and full lots of recommendations. All the food arrived at perfect intervals. We tried the fish and lamb. Grappinos is a great restaurant, the service was wonderful, the atmosphere is jovial-love the lighting! The main course of pasta, made in house, was spectacular and to top it off freshly made cannoli. No reservations but they do their best to seat everyone so we did not have any wait. Bar is efficient and beers and drinks come out quickly. Beer selection is perfect with local drafts. The steamed shrimp is a classic Florida dish and perfectly cooked and served chilled. The Chicago beef was the Sammy specialty which was amazing. Burger was well prepared everything came out hot. Reasonable prices and generous portions make this a place we will return to. Well done staff!

Major shout-out to Ashley behind the bar -- absolute pro -- though honestly the entire bar staff deserves applause. Watching the bartenders run the room is like watching a choreographed ballet. They somehow keep a mental spreadsheet of the waitlist, open seats, timing, and guest flow, seamlessly slotting people in without chaos or drama. It's impressive, calm, and clearly run by people who know exactly what they're doing. Now, to the inevitable dog commentary: yes, restaurants have rules. Yes, health codes exist. And no, a dog in a baby stroller is not a service animal. That stroller should be reserved for, stay with me here, babies. Leave your dog at home for two hours. It will survive. So will you. I will happily return to any restaurant that enforces Collier County health code, serves great food and drinks, and employs a staff that runs the room with confidence and competence. The menu does not change often but that's because everything they make is delicious. Their deviled eggs app are great, and I'd recommend their famous kale and quinoa salad.
