I find myself in Folsom nearly every weekend several months out of the year. I always enjoy trying new places and try to avoid anything I can eat at home in Elk Grove. Parking is fairly easy but somewhat challenging to find at times in the large Folsom Palladio shopping center. They serve a variety of burgers with an Angus/Wagyu blend, chicken sandwiches, fries, grilled cheese sandwiches, mac and cheese, milkshakes, and feature all natural fountain beverages from the Alameda Soda Company. They have a few canned beverages such as Coke and sparkling water as well as bottled water. I opted for their double barbecue bacon cheddar burger and bacon ranch fries. I ordered the burger medium, and it was prepared perfectly. It comes garnished with a pickle spear. The burger was made with high-quality ingredients and was honestly probably the best burger I've had in my lifetime. I've tried countless places coast to coast, and this took the cake. The fries were pretty great as well. They were hot and cooked perfectly and adorned with bacon, their cheddar sauce, and ranch dressing. The ingredients complimented one another, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I'll definitely be back in soon, and I look forward to trying a fountain beverage or milkshake. Their prices were fair, and the service was decent. They provide you with a buzzer for you to pick up your order. They accept cash, cards, and contactless payments. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. My only complaint was that there were a number of dirty tables, and a staff member was busy cleaning the top of the trash receptacles rather than wiping tables. It just seemed like a training issue or lack of awareness. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll be back soon. read more

After placing my order with the person at the front I noticed the cooks in the back wearing gloves that you could visibly see were old gloves that had been used too long and for many other orders. So I asked the person at the front to ask the cooks to change their gloves before preparing my food, which they responded with "normally we do." I do not think they changed their gloves, and could see them talking in the back like I had asked for a ridiculous request. Also on the front counter they were preparing sauce containers with no ladle or spoon to scoop, no gloves, no hair net and they were constantly touching their hair, face, glasses, other orders and the ordering screen. I normally never leave reviews but as a pregnant woman I care about the sanitary measures taken by staff. The food was good and came out quickly. read more

Well we were thinking about a burger and wanted something different and stumbled across old discount cards given to us in our first and only visit. Went in last night and had Swiss and mushroom and BBQ Bacon burger with fries. The service was good and the food came out quickly with great flavors and size with their singles. Always a great experience here! I love burgers, I love cheese, I love fries, I love The Melt. I'm Im lactose intolerant but who cares, this is all worth it (fun fact: I was pregnant during my first visit and have been able to drink milk since then so I've been enjoying all the cheese and shakes). The Melt is located in the Palladio with a parking garage nearby and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The staff is always friendly and quick to welcome you upon arriving. I have ordered a couple of things including the Melt burger, Bacon Melt burger, Melty Mac grilled cheese, Parmesan Fries, and sweet potato fries and while it was all tasty and delicious, my favorite has to be the melty max with sweet potato fries. Been there twice now and each time I've been too excited to eat the burger before taking a picture. lol this isn't helpful, I know. Service is quick and the team is helpful and friendly. Love that they are open late and have clean and comfortable outdoor seating. The burgers are my favorite (obviously), they have great lemonade, and their mac-n-cheese is a perfect side. I had heard and read so many reviews praising this place. My first visit was today. Family and I decided to grab dinner to go before heading home. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss. Burger Quality: flavor was ok. The restaurant advertises juicy burgers but what I got was DRY. There was also barely any mushrooms in it. What mushrooms were included were so overcooked they were rubbery. Ordered a side of garlic Parmesan fries and they were also not much to be excited over. They were a little too garlicky. Not much Parmesan on them. Lastly I also ordered a chocolate malt. One thing I hate that too many restaurants do is use a vanilla ice cream base for their shakes and just add syrup flavoring to change the flavor. I also didn't get the malt added in like I had ordered. If they did add it in I couldn't taste it. (They also charged an extra .50 cents to add it so I got short changed either way.) The restaurant was not busy at all so there should have been no excuse for the overall quality of the meal. For the price I could have gone to another burger joint for better quality food. My family also didn't enjoy their meals and had the same general feelings on the food they ordered. Disappointed at the experience after hearing all the hype. We won't be visiting again. read more

Really impressed with The Melt in Folsom! We enjoy coming here as a family and the KIDS LOVE grilled cheese! They have a variety of options including: * mac and cheese (melty mac, garlic chicken bacon mac or steak fajita mac) * melt burgers (varieties of proteins including plant based ones for vegetarians) * melted grilled cheese (classics and other options) * grilled chicken * salads / soups They know my weakness as well - FRIES! So many options of fries including sweet potato fries, garlic parm fries, cheddar bacon fries and original fries! They have lemonade and flavored drink options as well! Lots of seating inside and outside. Good customer service, friendly staff and overall positive atmosphere. I had to take off a star because the bathrooms definitely needed some maintenance / cleaning. Wish the staff were a little more attentive to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Great place. Simply menu that also has variety of burgers, mac and cheese, and fry options. Been there now about four times and satisfied each time. The quality is good and the prep fresh. Balance of flavor keep these unique and yummy. The staff friendly and helpful when trying to pick options to eat. I like that they also have fresh lemonades and "bubbly" waters, La Croix, in addition to fountain drinks and iced tea. This location is located within the Pavilion shopping mall. Parking next to the store is hard due to the high activity at the mall, but there is also parking in the garage just across the street behind the store space there (and it shades your car). What makes a place enjoyable to frequent isn't always the food. Tho my companions enjoyed the food, for me it was the service. Brian really showed up in making us feel valued customers. He kept checking on us to make sure everything was great. Later he showed up with warm samples of the brownie and chocolate cookie that could rival any 5 star bakery. Way to go! I'm kinda obsessed with this place. I eat carnivore but will dabble in some toppings for my burger and this place does a dill pickle jalapeño slaw that makes my mouth water just thinking about. Pretty easy to order here by either using the kiosk stations or going straight up to the counter. It's a very casual atmosphere with somewhat limited seating due to its size but I have never been unable to sit inside and eat. Staff is very friendly and quick to remedy any mistakes with orders which has happened a few times but hey, we are human and I never consider a mistake a bad thing. It's all about how they choose to handle it and they handle it wonderfully. Great place to bring friends or a casual lunch or dinner date. I DoorDashed the Meltburger... I was little nervous about the jalapeños, but I went for it. I did add sautéed mushrooms. Even though the burger was delivered and well, you never know what you're gonna get in those instances, but I gotta say this burger was amazing. I can't say anything bad about it. Not one thing. We returned to The Melt and our experience was just as terrific as the first. Very friendly greetings from staff as well as the manager. Quickly took our order and watched as two beautiful, large balls of beef were placed on the hot griddle - Big Yum factor! They were happy to customize my meltburger to make it my own. I love good iced tea and they had just brought out a cauldron of freshly brewed tea and it has a great black tea flavor that held up well to the ice. All of our food was cooked perfectly and arrived quickly at our beautiful outdoor table under a nice tree. The manager stopped by twice to inquire about our experience. Walked by this spot so many times and finally stopped in- love the open air feel and we sat in a nice little veranda outside (they do still bus tables and check in on you out there even though it feels like you are just floating out in the Palladio atmosphere). Spicy mission chicken sandwich was indeed spicy, I liked the grilled jalapeños a lot. Sweet potato fries were salty (a nice change from more of a sweet style). I liked it but my mom felt they were too salty. She had gluten free bread and a steak sandwich- the gluten free bread all toasted up was GOOD!!! When ordering she had questions about it and the staff behind the register took a perspective of "I know best" which felt a little odd but his advice was right on. The melt is located across from Barnes and noble on a corner. It's good to park in the parking garage then walk over bc street parking near it is limited. Came with a friend. We tried a few different things. I got the steak and cheese melt, garlic Parm fries and cookies and cream shake. My friend got the Swiss and mushroom burger, sweet potato fries and snickerdoodle shake. The steak and cheese melt has a decent amount of filling and meat. It also had some raw jalapeño slices and red bell pepper. I think it would have been better with pickled jalapeño slices and cooked bell peppers. My friend said her burger was juicy and cooked well. The garlic Parm fries and sweet potato fries were cooked fresh and came out piping hot. The Garlic Parm fries had a decent amount of garlic and Parm were delicious. The portion sizes of the fries are big enough to share. The shakes were a little thick at first and needed a spoon to eat it but as it melted, you could drink it. It was a filling meal and took the leftovers home. Service was friendly and they have a nice open space with some outdoor seating which is great when the weather is cooler. read more

I was visiting from out of town and had late night munchies. Love that this place is open til midnight everyday! It looked new, it looked clean. Ordering was simple enough, you had to do it yourself on the computer by the wall. They cooked it relatively fast. The Bacon BBQ burger was fantastic! It was cooked just right, still slightly pink and juicy inside. I liked that it's a sweeter bbq sauce, it's not one of those super smokey bbq. Just the right size burger. The fries were okay. Little soggy, but that's mostly because I took my time eating the burger. Again fantastic burger! I would get it again. Definitely coming back next time to try their mushroom burger! Traveling through and made my way to the Melt! Had the Chicken sandwich, which was delicious and easily to bite into! Service was great, they came to my table and asked how we liked our food! I was super excited to find that The Melt open in Palladio! I went on Tuesday noon for a lunch with my kid. I ordered at the cashier and the girl was very friendly. - three cheese classic with lettuce, tomato & onion: perfectly toasted bread and super cheesy! The cheese was very thick and good! - garlic parmesan fries: I usually love love lots of garlic on my garlic fries and dissed those who only put tiny bit of garlic but this one was too much garlic! When I ate the top layer of crispy fries with parmesan & a bit garlic, it was delicious. But as I dig at the bottom of the plate, my tongue was burnt by the amount of garlic on the bottom! There was loads of raw garlic that I was crying because it was too spicy! I had to scrape all the garlic pieces from the fries as it was too overwhelming! I even still had garlic breath the next morning. Hopefully, this was just one time off. I would love to try their burger next time and their milkshake looks yum! read more
