visit this location recently with my dog. the waiter never gave us a refill mind u she was giving the other tables around us a refill before their drinks was empty. we seen multiple tables with pitchers of waters to fill up their dogs bowl for a drink so we asked for one also and just got a bowl we just had got tired of waiting for refills and a pitcher of water so we just paid the bill left a tip regardless of the shitty service. 2 do not order the ribs they are not tender at all, they are dry and just not appetizing to eat

Got the call for dinner and didn't even hesitate--grabbed the truck, scooped up little man, and headed out to see my friend at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. This spot delivered last time, so expectations were already set... and somehow this Sunday still leveled up. From the moment we walked in, it just felt easy--like the kind of place you can settle into and actually enjoy the night without rushing anything. We kicked it off with the firecracker shrimp, and yeah... you have to do it with that thin rice cake layer to tie it all together--otherwise you're just playing yourself. Then I went with the bibimbap with an egg, and that dish came out hitting on all levels. Flavor, texture, heat... it all worked. One of those meals where you slow down a bit just to enjoy it. Add in good company and the whole thing just lands different. Shoutout to our waitress too--super attentive, friendly, and made everything feel smooth without hovering. We grabbed a spot inside next to the fireplace, and it brought that extra level of comfort to the night. Real talk, this was one of those simple Sunday dinners that just hits right. Good food, good people, and a perfect way to close out the weekend.

Ok first let me say this is the first time to this location! We have been to the Lincoln location twice and we really liked it!! This area in Folsom is beautiful!! Ambiance in this place is really nice!!! Service was great!! The guy that helped us was really cool and funny!! Food was very tasty ! I will put pics up check them out!! Lazy Dog is my new favorite restaurant for 2026! The ambience is cozy, but the food is fun and delicious. For drinks, I had the peanut butter cold brew. It tastes like a sweet peanut butter chocolate latte with a great mouthfeel. The rum barrel punch was also tasty, with sweet fruit notes and a pineapple topper. For starters, we did the French pastry bites with au jus. Super flavorful, and the au jus for dipping was killer. For the main, I had the PB&J burger, medium rare. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. The fun starts with crispy candied bacon and salty cheese, with peanut butter and jelly bringing all the saltiness forward. Sounds strange, but it was amazing! The fish and chips were perfectly flaky and had a great crunch but not overly greasy. Also, order the truffle fries with the sauce, it's worth the try.

Wow, I can't believe we postponed coming to Lazy Dog for so long! My husband went here first with some buddies, but he only ate with his eyes that initial visit. Because everything looked so appetizing to him, he nudged me to try Lazy Dog out together on one of our dates nights. We were NOT disappointed. First of all, I loved that the manager(?) came over and greeted us tableside. He asked if this was our first visit, got us some complimentary potato chips for starters, and then gave us a discount coupon to use at a future visit. Next came the food. I can't remember what my husband had, but he loved his dish (some kind of Mediterranean bowl?). I ordered the fish and chips and they BLEW MY SOCKS OFF. I'm not kidding when I say these were the best fish and chips I've ever had - not greasy or heavy, perfect amount of batter, cooked to perfection. I mean, I dream about these fish and chips! Our dinner was satisfying and delicious and we will definitely be back. The only con was that because the patio is dog friendly, we got seated next to a giant puddle of a questionable something. Could've been just water, but could've been pee. I guess we'll never know. However, my husband asked for a different table, just for peace of mind during our meal.

Amazing food, and even amazing service!!!! Came here an hour before closing, but was welcomed warmly and got our food so quickly. Ordered the first things that caught our eyes -- spicy crispy tuna from large plate shareables, wild caught seabass from the protein menu, watermelon margarita, and butter cake. This was honestly one of the perfect dinner pairings for two!! Everything was delicious, well-balanced. The seabass was perfectly cooked, melting in our mouths with mild explosions of flavor from the sauce, veggies and pureed cauliflower. Also love the crispiness of the rice tuna. Ending the night with a butter cake perfectly tied the knot to a beautiful night. Couldn't stop talking about it! We had to send a compliment to the chef as they were happily singing in the open kitchen area!!

I made reservations for dinner, and I'm so glad I did because the place was packed. Clearly everyone else had the same idea we did! We started with a beer flight, which was a great choice--trying a few different beers felt like a fun little adventure. We also ordered the deviled eggs, which were delicious, and they surprised us with free chips since it was our first visit. They even gave me a card for a free appetizer next time, which was a really nice touch. Our waiter was friendly and doing his best, but he definitely had a full house. Even with how busy it was, he made sure we were taken care of. For dinner, I chose the pretzel-crusted pork schnitzel, while my companions ordered the Korean ribeye bibimbap and the BBQ bison meatloaf. The menu had so many options that I had a hard time choosing--there's truly something for everyone. My schnitzel was good, though I think mashed potatoes would have paired better than the warm potato salad for me personally. I wasn't a fan of the cider coleslaw, but the bibimbap and meatloaf were a hit since they disappeared quickly. The restaurant itself was cute and cozy, with dog photos and holiday lights adding to the charm. Overall, I'd come back and try other dishes. The food was decent, the experience was fun, and the little extras for first-time guests made it feel welcoming.

Lovely night on the patio with friends at Lazy Dog. Not only was it St Pats we did bring a friend and a dog. We had the fabulous Emma as our server tonight. She provided excellent table service and made our special green beers! She also listened well and our guest hadn't been to Lazy Dog in several years and Emma provided a complimentary card for an appetizer or dessert. way to win a customer. My fav pictured is the ahi tuna crunch. Seared perfectly and accompanied by edamame, ginger, sliced pickled cucumbers along with jasmine rice. It's so good and satisfying. We did have a couple other items, the fab korean bimbap, Tex Mex Salad and Truffle Fries. Props to great service and food.

Lazy dog has the best food!!! The restaurant is clean, friendly, and the best deals, like that $15 campfire deal. Highly recommended the Cajun fries!!

Lazy Dog always has good service and love the ambience, but some of their entrees lack flavor. I will say their deviled eggs are my favorite. They are deep fried deliciousness! We also ordered the Thai pasta , bbq bacon cheeseburger and fish and chips. I would come back again, but just for drinks and appetizers.

Not a bad place. And they're open late and have a wide ranging menu. Our server was a little confusing and kept forgetting things, but the food was good and the options were really good and they're open really late which is nice when trying to find a late night place to go to. Overall, recommended.

Is this place pet friendly? I seen people outside of the building with dogs and was just curious.

Yes, dog friendly. Dogs are allowed outside on the patio. Plenty of shade and water bowls. They also have heaters when it gets cool at night. The dogs I have seen on the patio are behaved and socialized.

Do they have happy hour specials?

    Yes! (bar + patio only) Mon-Fri 3-6pm…

There was plenty of seating on the shady patio, but it was really hot outside, so we opted to wait for a table inside. We had a drink and watched the NBA finals on the TVs (there was no sound so it wasn't noisy). I tried the Mustang Sally cocktail and it was well balanced and delicious! We were seated for dinner pretty quickly. The only problem I had was deciding what to order. The luau shrimp salad? Meatball sub? I finally decided on the lobster mac and cheese. While the portion wasn't large, it was delicious! Creamy and mild with fresh lobster (not fishy) and garlicy breadcrumbs. My husband got the ribeye and was thin but large with great seasoning and veggies. I'm not a big steak fan but I really liked it. We ended up grabbing some beignets to go for the kids, which were really tasty and came with 3 dipping sauces (our favorite was the Berry, although we ended up eating most of them without sauce). The atmosphere was upscale, but very casual, quiet and fun. We saw families with young children, couples on dates, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was the perfect vibe that we were looking for, comfortable, but classy. And the food was high-quality and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Upon entering, the hostess with the brown curly hair was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which isn't the first impression you'd hope for when celebrating a special occasion. The food, however, was outstanding and was definitely the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Service was a mixed experience. While our server was polite, the service was quite slow throughout the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty at the time. Overall, the excellent food helped make up for some of the service issues, but the rude greeting and slow service took away from what should have been a memorable anniversary dinner. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the kitchen is clearly doing a great job.

For starters, we ordered French bread with salted butter, calamari with peppers and onions, and beef Wellington. Wow, ALL of these appetizers are exceptional! The fried onions tossed in with the calamari were deliciously sweet! The sauce of the beef Wellington was creamy and the puff pastry hugging the mushroom and beef was the cherry on top for this appetizer! Adam was our server who is kind, funny, attentive, and helped us with all of our menu questions. He checked on us often, making sure we had everything we needed and to make sure everything we ordered looked good and tasted good. Their other staff who brought our food, cleared plates and glasses, and checked on us, added to the excellent Land Ocean service! I asked for the top three menu entrees customers order and with this, Adam convinced me to order the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chilean Sea Bass with coconut jasmine rice and soy-ginger glaze. I ordered spinach sub, instead of the asparagus, due to dietary restrictions. OMG my first fork full brought me back to Honolulu, HI! The macadamia nuts were candied on top of the sea bass, making this the BEST sea bass with macadamia nut dish I have ever eaten outside of HI! My mom took one bite and decided to order this plate for herself because it is THAT rich, sweet, and perfectly balanced with the flavors of the spinach, rice, and sea bass. The sea bass is extremely flaky, to add to why this is my new favorite dish in Land Ocean! I had a really enjoyable experience at South Fork Grille in El Dorado Hills. The restaurant has a…read morenice atmosphere that feels polished without being overly formal, so it works well for anything from a casual lunch to a nicer dinner. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Our server checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out correctly without making us feel rushed. The food was also very solid. Everything came out fresh, well presented, and at a good temperature. The portions were reasonable, and you can tell there is some thought put into both the presentation and overall quality of the dishes. I especially liked that the menu has enough variety for different tastes without feeling overwhelming. The location is also convenient, and the dining room has a comfortable, relaxed feel. Even when it was busy, the experience still felt organized and the staff seemed to handle everything well. Prices are a little higher than a basic casual restaurant, but considering the atmosphere, service, and food quality, I thought it was fair overall. Overall, South Fork Grille is a dependable spot in El Dorado Hills if you want good food, friendly service, and a nicer atmosphere without going somewhere overly fancy. I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu.

Every course was amazing! Chef Charles has a fabulous palate, components work together, salted just to bring out flavors. Exceptional meal w/fair prices. Monthly menu. The beet and pear salad had perfectly cooked beets and a delightful pear vinaigrette, not too vinegary nor overpowering. Salad had wonderful cubed Toma cheese. 2nd course, a unique acorn bisque, seasoned w/ herbs, topped w/ pepitas and creamy foam. For entrees we had rack of lamb chops, perfectly cooked medium rare with pomegranate sauce and pistachios; amazing! Beef tenderloin was cooked perfect, w/ bearnaise. Both came with broccolini and celeriac puree. Dessert was a delicious bread pudding with the works: apples, caramel, chantilly cream and pecans, OH MY! Only items that weren't absolutely perfect, the broccolini could be cooked a tad more. Offer beer in glass bottles, not cans. If you're a big eater, go early and get an appetizer. Really reasonable wine pairings.

We also got a wine pairing to go with our meal, which was plenty! I would recommend not getting the first drink if you're doing the wine pairing otherwise you'll be trying to keep up! Each course was introduced and served with Class. We enjoyed every bit of the ambience and the wonderful service provided here. The desert and the main course were my absolute favorites. I forgot to take a picture of the second course, but it was also really really good. I would highly recommend this place for a special event or just a nice evening out with your loved one.

Small little bar for some drinks. Server was very nice. First time I had them was for take out and I like it so much that I had to go back and dine in! Grilled oysters were good, but I didn't like the Parmesan that was in it, I think?. Yuzu mahi was sooooo good! I ate the entire plate and could have licked it. They actually ran out nothing sauce and used an aioli sauce that paired very well. Mahi fish is like the steak of the fish to me, so it was very filling. Coconut rice has coconut shavings in it and made it ten times better. The Hawaiian bbq was sooooo much better fresh in person. I had it as a take out and it was good, but so much better fresh. This will now be a go to restaurant for Me.

Kids chicken and rice was so crappy. It was literally chicken thighs boiled in watered down teriyaki & soy sauce. Sorry but my 5-year old eats food that tastes good, not just anything on the table. We ordered the roasted wings, the chicken tacos and the Hawaiian bbq plate with the kalbi beef upgrade. The fire roasted wings were cold, saucy and dis not even have one char mark on them to show that they were fire roasted. And they tasted horrible. The chicken tacos were subpar. The same chicken meat from the kids meal. One of the 2 tacos did not even have cheese and they had gotten so soggy that you couldn't even pick it up. The Hawaiian bbq plate was disappointing. Same boiled chicken from the kids meal, 4 pieces of shrimp and small pieces of beef. The 36 dollar price tag on this was a joke. How can you have 4 plates and all 4 were so shitty? The only good thing was the drinks. So disappointed with the overall below average tasting food. One of the worst foods I ever had. Never going back here again.
