Instead of using elbows like the previous set up he just used straight copper so the pipes don't sit up against the wall and they are sticking out on an angle (I hope that's no issue in the future ) 2. he did not clean up after himself- he left the soldered silver pieces all over the sink. 3. He did not secure the faucet to the utility sink underneath with the screws so it was moving back and forth, 4. He unscrewed my fire alarm because the heat from soldering made it go off and he never put it back on!! 5. The left side is leaking where the faucet screws into the copper pipe. 6. He asked a "favor" that I give him 5 stars to get business with a story of how Google took down 150 reviews and he was sick last year. Now, the reason I chose him over other people is because of his reviews of " doing quality work, picking up after himself, competitive pricing " and now I feel like I got duped because I did not experience any of that , I feel like he may be a phony. Mike was nice but when I'm paying for a service I shouldn't have to pick up after you. Granted I understand maybe he wasn't small enough/ older to get under the utility sink and screw the faucet in place but he could have told me. There is no excuse for not screwing the fire alarm back in! What if I were elderly and was unable to clean up the metal pieces everywhere, screw in my faucet or screw my fire alarm back in. Of course I did not know any of this was an issue until I went to actually use the faucet - it moved forward and backward, the metal was all over and I look up and the fire alarm unplugged. This was not worth calling him back for as I could fix it and I'm not going to have him fix the leaking pipe either as I do not trust any longer.

Since I was going to have to hire a plumber I decided to have them install my new sink and dishwasher as well just so I knew it would be done correctly. I called them and set up a time to have them give me an estimate and possibly do the work same day but they needed to get some parts so they came back first thing the next day. Everything was done quickly and he cleaned up after. Final cost was the same as the quote but there wasn't much left as a surprise since we had the wall demo'd out. Since it was originally a diy project I did have a lot of the parts bought already. So my only note would be let him get the parts you need so they are under his warranty. But he was upfront that any parts he used that were purchased by me wouldn't be covered and I was ok with that as they were smaller parts. Not sure how his prices compare to others because I needed the job done quickly but from the estimate it seemed fair with the labor involved. I would definitely hire and recommend them in the future!

It turns out that I would need to replace the water heater. Paul told me what water heater brands he felt were best and the fittings I would need to get to complete the job. Paul's work was excellent. He arrived a little early, which was fine was fine and completed the job quickly and with great attention to detail. The installation looks great. And he saved my a lot of money over other plumbers. And he took the old heater with him, so I didn't have to go through the aggravation of having to deal with getting Priority trash collection to pick it up special. And I didn't have to leave it lay around in my garage and driveway until they could pick it up. Be aware of Delong Plumbing for the extremely dishonesty behavior!…read more Hired them to do the back-flow test required by the City, agreed price was $60. The first test failed due to one broken rubber gasket. Mr DeLong asked to charge for $80 extra to get the rubber gasket replaced and re-test. Mr Delong threatened that we could choose to replace the parts by our self and he would leave immediately, and if we need him to come back for the re-test, we would pay him $60 again for the 2nd visit. Or we could choose to pay him $80 extra to get the job done, to make everyone easier... We were kind of in one blackmailed situation that we had to agree very reluctantly. So in the end, we paid him $140 in total to get one back-flow test done. Most other plumbers, in the same situation, would offer free of charge for the replacement of the rubber or charge with less than $20 for it. According to Mr Delong, the $80 extra charge included $30 for the extra labor (it took him 1 mins to replace the part) , $25 for the parts(2 rubber gaskets will cost a few bucks at most) and $25 for the re-test (if the device had to run twice for the same job, it should be charged twice, really???). So, Be aware of Delong Plumbing for the extremely dishonesty behavior! And good luck with your next job with Delong Plumbing.
