Filet-cooked pretty well but not sure it was worth the price
    Steph C.

Came here for Mother's Day and unfortunately it did not meet the star ratings on yelp. Granted, the menu did warn us upon sitting that it's hard to find staff and that the wait maybe a little long. That being said, it took about 2 hours to get our food. Other tables seated after us got their food before we did. My husband's $45 pork chop was thin and dry. My filet was pretty good but nothing special given the price of $65. The servers were all super kind and working very hard which is why more than one star, but I can't say the food was worth the wait unfortunately. Be sure to ask to sit outside-it seems to have a beautiful deck with great tree cover. We were inside and there were flies buzzing about.

Veggie pizza 2/5; supposed to be their most popular pizza /:

My friends and I are confused by how highly rated this restaurant is. Food was below average tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. Service was amazing. Everyone was so attentive and so sweet. The environment was beautiful and cozy. Loksa: 3.5/5 the udon noodles had a weird texture. They should be pretty smooth and bouncy but this one tasted overcooked? Or maybe the noodles were sitting in the soup for too long. Veggie pizza: 3/5 absolutely nothing special about this pizza. The breading just broke apart, like a stale piece of bread. The cheese had no flavor tomato sauce just tasted straight out of a tomato paste can. Overall, I felt like everything we ordered was pretty bland in flavor. Disappointed, especially with how steep the prices.

A cold brisk afternoon off for an anniversary day drive through the mayacamas vineyards... arriving at the Jack London building and the old mill.. to have lunch at the oldest structure ... in the area "the mill" circa 1839. Surprisingly delicious food ( very vegetarian pescatarian friendly) in the middle of a very quaint town outside of the downtown Sonoma area. We enjoyed the stellar service, and delicious food in a beautiful setting in the forest and old mill surrounded by a delightful sculpture walk ( wheelchair accessible) 1. Creamy red bell pepper soup 2. mixed seasonal salad garnished with edible flowers 3. della fattoria sourdough bread with garlic olive oil and parmesan 4. Entree : potato cakes and crisped vegetables atop a grain medley ! Delicious with a crisp pepper and hot oil infusion paste. 5. Basque Cheesecake fresh berries Unbelievable tasty ! Unforgettable service. Thank you Dana Jaffe and staff for an unbelievable afternoon meal! note: Dana Jaffe is also a gifted jewelry artist utilizing "clay molds" ... breathtaking

This is a hidden gem, which should rightfully deserve much more recognition. The atmosphere, staff and service, and food hit every mark I'd expect at a high end restaurant. Stopped in for a birthday dinner for my birthday weekend and truly felt like a king. Right from the start, we were greeted by friendly staff and promptly seated. Before even getting settled in, we were offered fresh cucumber and lemon infused ice water, and like clockwork, our wonderful waitress, Alex, gave us a quick run down of the menu and top hits. We ended up ordering the bread, Brussels sprouts, clam chowder, and pork chops. Every dish was fresh, tasted amazing, and had the presentation of an upscale restaurant. Even the birthday treat and celebration by the whole staff made me feel warm, welcomed, and appreciated. Throughout the entire service, the staff consistently checked in on us to clear plates and ensure our experience met expectations - which they certainly did! Highly recommend stopping here!

Red beans with vegetables, radish, avocado (made with a cheese broth) SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!
    Jess C.

Holy moly, this red beans with vegetables, radish, and avocado was one of the best soups I've ever IN MY LIFE. It's made with a cheese broth, and it blew our minds. My husband is licking his bowl as I type this lol! Their warm Della fattoria with crumbled Parmesan and butter is indeed, amazing. Dip that in the red bean soup!! *mind blown* We haven't gotten our house pizza yet but I can't imagine it being any less than epic. So thankful we came here!!! Yummmmm!!! Our waitress Alex is a the absolute sweetest, too! All the staff so far actually. Love the vibes as well. Miiiight order that soup again lol

This place totally lives up to the reviews - wow! Highlights: -Ambiance - gorgeous patio with a bubbling brook and peaceful setting -Service - extremely accommodating of our toddler with a booster seat and seating us right away without a reservation as we were ahead of the dinner rush. Very attentive throughout dinner and happy to modify dishes -Kid's menu: brioche grilled cheese for the little one, with several other options -Tons of vegan options - the menu has symbols to make it clear what can easily be made vegan Wish I'd gotten more photos: the masala potato patties were a standout, and the house pizza with vegan cheese was delicious. The tofu appetizer and house salad were also tasty. Can't recommend enough!

    Seasonal Tomato Salad
    Imelda R.

The Mill has such a rustic and warm charm with staff that gives it soul and life; Split Pea soup was comforting and packed with nutritious deliciousness! Seasonal Tomato Salad was drizzled with a beautiful balsamic glaze which complimented sweetness of the fresh tomatoes. Indian-Inspired Rice Pudding with coconut milk, pistachios, etc and cardamom infused flavors was perfect ending to our lunch experience at The Mill. The added birthday candle to the dessert was such a delightful surprise. First (and certainly not our last) culinary experience at The Mill.

    The crispy tofu- so good

Such a lovely setting for a restaurant. We wanted to sit outside with all the greenery but no tables were available. The interior is well designed and we were pleased with sitting there. Our service could not have been any better. Due to confusion with a reservation, the manager comped part of our order. The bread that is crisped and dipped in olive oil with Parmesan is to die for. My friend enjoyed their black bean soup very much - loads of veggies and not too chick. My Caesar salad was a bit blah although large- I was unable to finish. I sampled my friend's crispy tofu and it was scrumptious. I'd like to return and sit on the patio on my next visit.

Lovely place to stop for lunch, by the river. The restaurant is located at an actual old mill, and the whole setting is charming. Inside is cozy with a fireplace. And outside you can eat on the deck and hear the river. Every server I encountered was helpful and friendly. I ate the wagyu burger and my girlfriend enjoyed the clam chowder. Both were delicious. I'd love to come back.

    Butternut squash raviolis
    Katwoman P.

I've had some great experiences there but not all of them. If I had the pre-Fix meal the first time I went I would not have gone back. Love the butternut squash raviolis but I got maybe half the regular size and nowhere near as pretty as set up with the shaved parmesan. You need to look to see what the specials are prior because you may want to go for scallops like my friend but they didn't have them that particular night. The pork chops are thick and nicely grilled but mine was overcooked both times. The brussels sprouts are to die for! I don't really care for any of the desserts but I'm not a huge dessert person anyway. Especially the one with the coconut rice, no thank you. I've only had wine there once I had their house white and I hate to put any winery or place down but it tasted very watery to me. I got a second glass to stick with the same thing and that tasted the same. I can get buzzed on wine pretty easily and I wasn't driving but I felt nothing so I've never ordered wine again because as you know the bills add up very quickly. That being said I love the atmosphere and I love the deck outside and if you're inside the fireplace is really nice. It's an old historic mill and it's beautifully rustic and next to a stream so give it a try! The pizzas are pretty good but so far the only thing I would really return again and again for is the butternut squash and the brussels sprouts. I have gone back several times for those! Very friendly, very accommodating people that work and manage the place. Overall ambience, it's one of my favorite places.

    May 2, 2025 - Warm Della Fattoria.

May 2, 2025 Exceptional. The food, the service, and the outdoor garden patio seating next to Sonoma Creek all made for a wonderful dining experience. We arrived, with our pup, just as they opened. We were able to get a table with a view overlooking Sonoma Creek. The outdoor patio is filled with beautiful plants and flowers, hummingbird feeders and hummingbirds. You feel happy just being there. The servers are friendly and pretty much amazing. We were treated like special honored guests. Our puppy was given a water bowl and a giant milk bone. Service was quick, and attentive. Our water glasses did not even get half way to empty before they were filled again. And the food! We ordered the Warm Della Fattoria ($10). It was delicious, served with parmesan, butter and olive oil. I also ordered a wonderful glass of rose'. For our main course, my husband and I decided to split the butternut squash ravioli (with braised greens, butternut squash, roasted chestnuts and a luscious lemon cream sauce). The kitchen split the meal for us, beautifully individually plating each serving. A++++ Everything was so delicious, we could not leave without having dessert. We had the chocolate mousse with raspberry and fresh fruit. The perfect ending to a perfect meal.

Am amazing last minute find. A slightly hidden area. Comfortable infoor or outdoor seating. Staff was accommodating as we did not have reservations after a long day of wine tasting . Our appetizer...the flatbtrad with goat cheese and roasted chickpeas was delicious. Our main courses were.. the butternut squash ravioli....amazing sauce.... fresh and delicious My vegetarian pizza was one of the best I have ever had.. tons of fresh veggies, not excessively cheesy. Staff worked as a great team. All were kind and available. They also completely understood we may have been drinking wine and there was no pressure to drink wine or cocktails. We would definitely go back.

This is worth the drive. The venue is beyond gorgeous and the food is so good and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I chose to sit on the patio because of how beautiful it was. Inside was nice too. I started the bread, which was covered in olive oil, basil and parmesian. So good. Next I had the House green salad which was almost too pretty to eat. The entree was the New Zealand rack of lamb. This was so well prepared and came with garlic mashed potatoes and beautiful vegetables. I ended the meal with the Basque cheesecake. OMG, this was so silky, with a mild vanilla flavor. Loved the berries. Please keep them in business.

    They do.

What is the price range of the food and the wine?

The food is very expensive, but it is worth it!!! You can look up the menu online for details about food and prices. It's a splurge kind of place.

Are dogs allowed in the patio?

Yes. At least there was a dog under a table on the patio when we had dinner there. He didn't have on a Companion Vest so I think he was a pet.

Is this restaurant closed indefinitely? Open table has no availability for months.

I'm not sure they are on Open Table. We ate there for lunch on December 8th and it was delicious. Their website says they are now taking reservations for dinner. Try calling them.

He never made us feel rushed, and we enjoyed sitting outside, taking in the beautiful views--and watching the tractor tours pass by--while we tasted. Patrick even shared side-by-side trios of Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons to highlight differences in winemaking methods, vineyard sites, and soils, which made for a particularly interesting and educational tasting experience. Another couple arrived who noticed an error on their invoice and he could t figure out how to correct it and had to enlist the help of someone else. Didn't feel like there was a benefit to being in the club. He closed with telling us he needs to go to lunch so what are we buying? I've been here many times before and enjoyed the patio and the inside table with the fireplace and cute gift options. Today he made me question whether I would return.
