Emily! Emily! Emily! This was our fourth and final stop on our Sunday Funday bar crawl. There was a large deverse crowd, however, the music was so-so and too loud for me. I prefer more upbeat type of music with vocals. I get it, we all have different tastes. We sat at the bar and Emily was the only bartender on a busy evening. She was awesome, multi tasking and trying to keep everyone happy. She did have a bar back, but not sure if he was helping much. Emily was really good about checking in on us. The drinks were strong (A+) and served in glasses. Not plastic cups. The crowd we encountered was friendly and having a great time.

Out of the other two bars that were visited, this place was the busiest. St Paddy's day for a drink that led to bar hopping along Broadway. Last time we stopped by it was mellow. This visit, it was a little more lively and a mixed crowd. The music sucked whoever was in charge as it kept skipping and changing constantly. Not consistent whatsoever. It could be coming from the jukebox right at the front. People were out for drinks which it was pretty lively. Of course as it's also a dive bar with a pool table, people were having fun. The place was chill as most bar in Long Beach are. Nothing stuck up here with pretentious people. Everyone is here for the same thing, a dive bar and drinks. There was actually more than one bartender this time. Normally it's one who was taking care of everyone. And a mixed crowd, people all having fun. It's bigger than the other one we just came from But did notice some other guest from the previous bar doing the same thing we were, bar hopping. There's a decent amount of seating along the bar counter. Hi top tables along the front and entrance. Some in the back area as well and the main seating area thats along the other wall with a built in seating. Great for people watching and viewing the game of pool that's right in front of you. I think there's two pool tables. It's a simple fun place where you guessed it, all the locals and regulars visit. They do have happy hour which we found out a while back. Same as all the other bars along the area, it's street parking. I don't know if it's a regular thing but out front was a taco stand getting ready for the night. Beer and tacos, match made in heaven.

I feel like the only time I pop into here for a drink tends to be after dinner nearby. And this…read morevisit, it was literally that. We did pop in when it was still early so the place was pretty mellow. Even at 9pm, there was a security guard out front checking people's Id. Inside, it's a dark vibe but nice. Lots of plush comfy sofas for seating. The layout can be a tight squeeze in the seating area at the front as the sofas are pretty big and close together. Then add in the guest, it could get tight but a fun vibe. Main floor area has the bar to one side and the dance floor at the other end. The whole place does turn into a dance floor when it's fully packed. What's nice about this place, they have a nice outdoor patio. Not a lot of bars along this strip offer that which is nice. Bar area is along one side but getting a drink when it's packed can be a challenge. They always have a decent amount of bartenders on deck so that does help but with people coming from all ends trying to order, it can get a bit tricky. Dj is along the side where the dance floor is. As for our visit, Friday which around 9 was still early. The good thing about that, getting a drink was a cinch. Majority of the people were either on the patio or the front lounge. It was pretty full in the front which I think it was a group that were all together. We were there long enough for a drink give or take half an hour the most and by then, the place was pretty empty. I feel like most people tends to come around 10:30 or 11:00. Not sure if they have an entrance fee or not but certain night when they have events, the place is very lively. Then I believe you would need to purchase tickets for that. Parking situation is a major bitch as street parking is pretty sparse. Neighborhood parking is very limited as the locals know that if they move their car, say goodbye to your parking spot. So if you know the area, parking is tricky. It's a cool little bar that I used to go to when I lived down here many years ago which used to be called The Brit. Still a fun vibe.

The cocktails were good and served in glasses, not plastic cups. We went to four different bars this evening, two bad and two great; this was the worst because of the bartender. We're probably never coming back here unless there's a friendlier bartender. Just saying.

The drinks were strong, but unfortunately came in a plastic cup. I get that, but for the price point it should be in a glass. The best part of The Falcon was our bartender, Abel. A small dive bars right on the corner of Broadway and of course Falcon. There used to be an Italian restaurant next door but it's closed now. It's in a residential neighborhood so be courteous when you're outside. We thought it would have been quite busy as it a drinking holiday but when we walked in, there were maybe 8 people or so. The place isn't big. Bar counter on one side and a couple of hi tops table along the other wall. Doubt there's room for dancing when it's packed but I'm sure they'll make it work. The bartender working St Paddy's night was the sweetest. Very friendly which is always a major plus. We sat along the bar which was nice. Who ever was in charge of the music that night was great. A fun selection of upbeat music which the videos were also showing. You don't want to show up somewhere and the music sucks. Overall, it a fun little neighborhood dive bar. It seemed more like it was utilized with regulars as everyone seemed to know each other. I'm sure it picked up later on from when we arrived. But a fun little place for a drink. It's street parking if you're visiting.

Normally on a Wednesday night or a Sunday as it was karaoke. The fun nights were had way back when. It's still the same fun old place but with a little revamp from the early 2000 when it was a frequent place with the college kids for drinks and karaoke. The crowd from the coffee shop down the street would end their nights here with cocktails and singing. A fun neighborhood dive bar. There's still security at the front checking ID's. Seems like regardless whatever your age is, they ask. Inside you have the retro fun vibe. Of course everyone is there for the same reason, a fun night. Bar is right when you walk in. Normally there's two bartenders on the busy nights but often you just see one. Inside has a good amount of seating but outside patio seating seemed to be alway lively. There's loads of seating out there. The fun twinkling lights and nice lush plants gives it a cool tropical feel hidden in Long Beach. I did notice a lot of people bringing food in especially pizza which was from across the street. Didn't know you could Uber Eats things here but clearly you can. Dinks is always good from my experience. Reasonable price which brings the crowd in. The only thing that sucks, the restroom situation. There's two on either side which does get pretty busy with a line as it's one per person and it's alway dirty. Don't know if anyone goes in there to clean during the nightly hours. Overall, the crowd is alway fun and lively. The last two times I've been I did noticed that it's still the college crew crowd as when I used to come in the early 2000. A more younger crowd, somewhat hipsters vibe. Depending on what day you visit, there's some kind of something going in. It's a fun dive bar that's alway fun for drink. Very casual.
