A top notch hotel when planning a stay in downtown Colorado Springs. The MX completed its redecoration in 2024, and still has that well-burnished look. The corner-windows lobby is huge, lined with wood and glass, filled with clusters of chairs and couches of various styles that should clash but instead create an upscale but cozy whole. That large space also provides seating for the BLK MGK coffee shop and the Golden Hour bar, and is the locale for weekly jazz concerts. Our room was on the second floor, near the entrance awning facing east. Despite being on Nevada, we have very few problems with traffic noise; the bigger challenge was the bright light from the building lighting and the dawn; it was tough to get the floor-to-ceiling blackout drapes well-closed. The HVAC worked well, but was quite loud when it would roar into life in during the night. The room (Silver level, King-sized bed) was high-ceilinged and open. The tile floor, rug, wallpaper, were all a variety of prints that, again, should have clashed, but instead were charming. The bed was comfortable. The chair and chase-longue, and even the desk chair were comfortable. Power outlets were plentiful and at a high enough level to be usable. The room came with complementary water bottles each day. No coffee machine (but a nice shop in the lobby). The sink and shower were open to the main sleeping area -- it looked like there may have been a sliding partition that covered that and the closet, but that was missing. Didn't bother my wife and me, and it did add to the feeling of size and openness, but be aware. (The WC was in its own closable niche.) The shower was huge, and the there were enough towel hooks and racks, in the proper places. The bathroom itself was missing any kind of mirror, though the floor length mirror in the hall served to a degree. Matching contemporary trend, there was only one waste can in the entire room (back in the WC), which is annoying. We peeked into the conference / ball room on our floor, just down the hall, and it looked very nice for a private function. The hallways were nicely appointed, with modernistic carpet that, yet again, should have clashed but gave a spirit of eclectic design. An old safe/vault door (!) in the hall let to a store room. All the people we interacted with, from the front desk to valet to housekeeping, as well as at the bar and coffee bar, were friendly and helpful. The biggest complaint you'll see is about parking. Being downtown COS, the options are plentiful but pricey. Valet parking is available, but expensive. There is plenty of metered parking you can make use of in the area. There is also a large parking garage (including charging stations) a block south on Nevada which charged $23 overnight, which seemed a pretty good deal. Depending on what you are doing, there is a lot within walking distance of the MX. The hotel has a spa and gym, though we did not make use of them. Net-net, the MX experience is expensive, but you get high quality and comfortable accommodations for the price. It served as a nice getaway for us for three nights during the week, and if we stay in downtown COS again, it will probably be there. read more

Had a great one night stay at the Mining Exchange! Their communication was terrific from day one to departure. Jill, at the front desk, was extremely helpful with our late check in, suggestions for a late supper, and upgrades as possible. Thank you Jill!! The room was clean and the bed/linens, excellent. Temperature regulation was easy and internet perfect. Our only hiccup was there was no coffee in the room. We didn't notice until it was too late (after 11 pm), so we didn't call down. There's a coffee shop downstairs however. Lots of great restaurants around - Urban Egg for breakfast was magnificent. Secret bar down the alley was fun - good drinks and solid food! read more

What an amazing experience. Even from the exterior of the Mining Exchange you get the sense of quality. The interior has been kept pretty original to the era it was made and is impeccable. Some time the older original hotels may have that musty smell. THIS PLACE SMELLS LIKE A BOUTIQUE/spa. AHHHHHH.... Wonderful atmosphere where the staff felt like a family member hosting. The Oro restaurant next door has an amazing Italian based menu that is top notch. I can't say enough about the hospitality of the staff here. Just a pleasure to interact with. Nice one-night stay. Room was spacious but we had to plug our cellphone into the back of the television to charge. Although the room had many electrical outlets, there were no USB outlets. Weird since the hotel was recently remodeled. Instant hot water expedited our morning. Great large shower with upscale soap/shampoo. Room was absolutely spotless and very quiet. Blackout curtains ensure perfect sleeping. Bed was awesome and came with many pillows. Highly recommend. read more

This hotel is so nice. I was here for a conference and looking at the Marriott and Hilton properties but opted for this instead. So glad I did. The hotel has been recently renovated - you can tell in the rooms and the beautiful carpeting. Everything smells new. The interiors are out of this world - tastefully done, and the service is above par. Kind and thoughtful staff who make it their job to make sure you have the best experience possible. My husband and I used the Mining Exchange as the main hotel block for our guests during our wedding weekend in Colorado Springs for its convenient location and beautiful aesthetic, but we were unfortunately disappointed with the experience. If you choose this venue for your event, just make sure to triple check all the details and confirmations! When we tried to check in on Friday, we found that the reservation was booked by the sales team incorrectly and even though we requested Friday-Monday in our email, it was booked Saturday to Monday so we (the bride and groom) had to wait in the lobby for an hour since the hotel was full unsure if we would have to find another accommodation. Thankfully, the team made room for us in a standard king but we should have had the upgraded suite we were promised and we had the extra inconvenience of having to move all of our stuff to another room the next day in between our morning rehearsal, luncheon, and welcome party events. Check-out was at 11 and check-in wasn't guaranteed till 4pm, so we put our things in my parents room so we didn't have to leave my wedding dress and belongings behind the front desk during the transition. During the stressful check-in process, I asked to confirm everything was correct for the afterparty we booked on Sunday from 10-12pm which we reserved past normal bar hours. The team confirmed everything was on the calendar for the event, also calling to confirm location and time of event again later that day. When our family showed up at 10 for the event, the bar was closed and they were very rude to my mother and the groom's mother about there not being an event. After some disgruntled phone calls, they started serving guests as an open bar even though it was booked as a cash bar with a spending minimum as discussed with the sales team. Once we had noticed, the bartenders went around to charge those already served for their drinks which was very confusing. We shared all of these concerns with the sales team; Shannon Petty was quickly responsive, very sympathetic, and helpful in figuring out some billing issues. She shared these experiences with the higher leadership team and we got a follow up 3 weeks later to confirm our concerns were shared and to try to make up for the extra stress which was greatly appreciated. I think this hotel has a lot of potential and the upgrades are beautiful, some things just need to be better communicated with their staff for events! read more

I recently stayed at the Mining Exchange and had an overall wonderful experience. The hotel's convenient location, excellent amenities, and the spacious, beautifully designed room made for a truly enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience after check-out. I realized I had left my AirPods in my room and was able to confirm their location through the "Find My" app on my iPhone. I reached out to your staff several times, both in person and over the phone, to request assistance in retrieving them. Unfortunately, I received conflicting information and was told during my visit the evening of check-out that staff could not access the lost and found area. When I returned the next day during regular business hours, I was informed that the AirPods had not been located. Shortly afterward, the "Find My" app showed that they were no longer at the hotel but had moved to an apartment complex nearby. When I called again to report this, I was told that the front desk was too busy to assist. It was a very disappointing and unfortunate ending to what was otherwise an excellent stay. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed appropriately and to prevent similar experiences for future guests. read more

I loved staying at this boutique hotel in downtown Colorado Springs. Right smack-dab in the heart of everything - walking distance to restaurants, pubs & parks. The rooms are nicely remodeled and include "very" comfortable beds and pillows, a walk-in shower fit for royalty (complete with nice products), and the room was decorated with art by local artists. If I had any feedback it was the room was a little sparse - I noticed several walls were completely bare - but hey, a minor complaint. One side of the hotel has additional artwork featured in the stairway. Check it out if you're there! It's a nice way to show off local talent. But to me, the standout is the lobby, complete with comfy couches, chairs, and lounge spaces that say "welcome: stay awhile." The coffee shop puts out amazing java (see my separate review) and I shared a glass of wine with a friend at the adjacent lounge. I did not have time to check out the spa or the downstairs fitness room. They do a creative job of carrying the "mining" theme throughout the hotel: the lobby features the names of local mines in Colorado; and if you need a little therapy, you can ask for your own healing crystal to be sent up to your room! They offer unique events, such as mini massages, tarot/palm readings, and feature local talent. Friendly service, tastefully decorated rooms & guest spaces, and a cool (& welcoming) vibe, this hotel is a tremendous ambassador for my old hometown. I'll definitely return! read more

Beware of their payment practices. I booked my stay at The Mining Exchange directly through their own website using their "Flex Pay" payment plan. When I checked in, I explicitly told the front desk that the reservation was under Flex Pay and not to charge my card. They acknowledged it -- and then still charged me for half the reservation anyway. Now I'm stuck in a ridiculous situation where: * The hotel charged me half the reservation up front without authorization, and * Flex Pay still expects payment for the full amount because the hotel won't communicate with them, * And the hotel is refusing to refund the improper charge. I've spent hours trying to clean up a mess that their own system created, and the staff has shown zero accountability or willingness to fix it. I've gotten nothing but runaround, excuses, and zero accountability from the staff. Travelers deserve transparency and honesty -- this hotel offered neither. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. read more

After checking in and having all of the additional fees explained to us we walked into an 80 degree room. I called the front desk who apparently already knew the air conditioner was out. The only thing offered was that they'll have maintenance bring a fan. If you have reservations here this weekend I would cancel asap. Super shady. read more

The ladies at their breakfast and the manager/supervisor is what allowed me to give this place 2 stars instead of 1. Amazing hustlers and incredibly welcoming. My dad and I were supposed to stay at this location for 4 nights, instead it was 2 because they sold our 2 queen room to someone else and gave us a single king room. After admitting they messed up by not recognizing room types and walking them through the problem that I am not sleeping my the same bed as my dad, they called the Antlers and got us booked there for 2 nights at no charge to us. They gave us a letter, that unfortunately said "1 night" and before I walked away I pointed this out and confirmed verbally that the second night will not cost my dad and I anything to which they confirmed. They gave us $50 in food voucher to the in-house restaurant, which helped cover our Lyft to and from this location to the next. Ok, midnight check in wasn't great, but at least I got a place to stay at. Check out time from the Antlers and we had to pay for our stay the Antlers because the letter said 1 night, which I knew was going to be an issue. We pay, go the the Mining Exchange, where a great manager sorts through the issues and refunds onto our credit card a little more than what we're charged at the Antlers for our second night, upgrades us into a suite, and even gave us an early check in. Amazing work! I'm thinking things are going to be smooth from here on out. Get into the room, put all of our luggage down and get comfortable, then notice a dirty cup in the room between the beds above the headboards that was from the previous guest. No big deal to us as I don't think my dad even saw this and I overlooked it not wanting to address it after all this, but if the Mining Exchange reads this, you should know this was missed to talk with your housekeeping staff. It will make guests wonder, like myself, what else was missed. Great beds, pillows, and I couldn't hear a thing from the hallway. The location looks amazing with beautiful décor, a good flavor of the past. The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing and I really wished this was the highlight of my stay, unfortunately, I'm still dealing with issues. The following day we attempt to use our credit card only to discover there were no more funds available on the credit card. Weird. I check the statement and there's a $500 charge from, you guessed it, the Mining Exchange. I ignore this until it's time to check out because I'm at my wits end here and don't want to be angry at anyone, which at this point I am more than entitled to. I check out and am handed a blank receipt of my stay and told by the front desk staff member that everything is covered. Weird, I've never been given a blank statement before and mention to the gentleman behind the counter "are you sure? because my dad's credit card has a $500 charge from Wednesday night," to which he replied that this is incidentals and asks me "did you stay here for 5 nights?" I say "no, 4. $100 a night for incidentals? That's really high" I said in a laughing tone and skeptically believe that everything is alright as I leave. A few hours go by while at the airport, I receive an email statement from the hotel completely itemized this time and, low and behold, a random charge on our credit card of an "urban amenity fee" of about $55. I called them this morning (the day after check out) that Expedia's credit card is supposed to take care of all fees unless I get something charged to the room like food, drink, spa, etc. and I'm told that Expedia doesn't cover that and this is a correct charge unless Expedia calls us and removes it. A little strange that my booking was supposed to take care of all fees and taxes since I technically already took care of this on Expedia's site. Called Expedia and Expedia called the Mining Exchange and Expedia is saying that the Mining Exchange called this an incidental hold and will go back to the card. So, which is it? Is the $500 the incidentals hold or is the $55 the incidentals hold? This is a complete joke of how to handle customers. There are lies being told everywhere as they don't want to be held accountable for their mistakes and not enough communication between staff of what's going on and address things head on to take ownership and rightly take care of guests. Now, I have to worry about this for a whole month to make sure we didn't get charged more than what we had already paid. Stay away. Don't be taken in by the beauty and I hope the ladies working in Black Magic and the 1 manager/supervisor finds better work elsewhere so they don't have to be associated with them. Dont share our bad experience ! We came for the weekend to attend a wedding at the hotel. We brought our ebikes but where told we could not store them and they would be safe locked in the bike rack in the hotel valet parking garage. Suprise ...they were stolen overnight in plain sight maybe by one of the valet drivers. The other suprise was we were referred to their insurance company who told us it was our fault because they gave us claim ticket with small unreadable print saying that they were were responsible. Along with other issues I would advise to avoid staying at this hotel. read more

It took me 20 minutes of arguing with the front desk agent and eventually the manager to have them remove a $25 (plus tax and some other made up uplift) "urban resort fee" for a one night stay. There is nothing remotely resort-ish about the hotel. That was so disappointing because the hotel is beautifully restored and we had a nice stay. This social media live took place in the lobby, showing hotel staff racially profiling the guest while sitting in the lobby minding his own business. They persisted in questioning him to prove himself as a hotel guest, while other non-black guests set in the lobby, not being bothered or questioned by the same staff asking them to show proof of their names and room numbers. read more

HIDDEN CHARGES alert. A few days after we finished our 3-night stay, I noticed a $82.65 charge (hotel was paid in advance). They said that sometimes the 3rd party doing the booking will not include these "resort fees" in the booking charges. 1. Front Desk didn't explain these during checkin (though that still would've been too late because I could not choose another hotel at that late time) 2. Front Desk was supposed to explain food/beverage credit of $25/day but didn't. 3. As a result when we bought breakfast, we paid a 2nd time. SLEAZY was of eking out an extra profit. read more

Closer to 2 and 1/2 Stars. Here at The Mining Exchange we encountered a (non)-typical $200+ per night - *no frills hotel. No bathrobes, no breakfast etc. The staff are warm and welcoming. The downtown location is ideal. The hotel itself is filled with historic ambiance. Aesthetics: Our room (407) has seen better days. We stayed in an executive room and truth be told; the only difference between a standard room and an executive room - is a chair and small table in a corner. Functionality: Our pillows were foam and uncomfortable. The bed was okay, it is considered to be a hotel king and *much smaller than our residential king (who knew)? The Art light didn't work, light up make-up mirror did not work, the television was glitchy, the coffee maker consistently made a half cup of coffee, the walls were scuffed and dirty, windows dirty, carpet and flooring could use a deep clean. Clearly this room could use some revitalization and maintenance. Noise: We could hear someone's dog barking nearby and the friendly housekeeping staff going about their duties - early in the mornings. We were offered a different room but the room we were offered had some of the same issue and a less appealing view. The Mining Exchange has potential. read more

My husband and I were so impressed with Jill (total rockstar) who check us in and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of our entire stay. We've stayed at The Mining Exchange many times over the years (well over a decade), including over New Years Eve several years ago. Apparently, this hotel has changed hands a couple of years ago and it shows - and not for the better. We stayed again for 3 nights over Father's Day, and I think the first indication that something wasn't the same is when it offered the option for early check-in for a pretty hefty fee, and a $25 fee for a Keurig. I don't drink coffee and my wife likes GOOD coffee, so no biggie, but still - even "regular" hotels have coffee makers in the rooms. Valet and check-in were fine, but we noticed that the lobby had been totally redone, as had the entire hotel abiut a year ago, apparently. It used to have a bunch of sitting areas with huge, cozy sofas around short tables, and used to be old school welcoming, like a place you'd want to hang out - which is exactly what we did that New Years Eve years ago. No more... there are still some sitting areas, but they're nowhere NEAR as cozy looking, or as inviting, and a lot of the place is large taller tables for people to sit and eat. First morning (Saturday), my wife went down to their coffee bar in the hotel lobby (Blk Mgk) and found the coffee was literally undrinkable. Used to be you could order any food from the next door restaurant in the lobby. Not sure if you still can, but if so, the restaurant next door is Oro, a seemingly frou frou Italian place that's insanely expensive and not a huge variety. Want something simple like maybe a ham sandwich or something? Nope. And room service? The little info sheet in the room has a mention of it - and the restaurant and their coffee bar, so it isn't that old - with a QR code. Which takes you to a "server not found" error message. I don't think room service even exists. Our first morning, I wasn't feeling well (something I'd eaten - and no, not from the hotel), and I ended up staying in the room (in bed) all day while my wife was out and about. We had the "do not disturb" sign on the door, but at some point, housekeeping opened the door - with the security thing across so she couldn't open it more than a couple of inches. I went over and told her I wasn't feeling well and so she went away, as expected. But you do NOT expect housekeeping to open the door a mere couple of seconds after knocking and with the do not disturb sign on the door. This morning - our second morning (Sunday) - we left the room at 9:30 AM. Maybe 8:30 or 9, I was in the bathroom, my wife was on the floor doing yoga, and I thought I heard the door open. We had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. When we left (at 9:30), we flipped the sign to "please clean room." When we got back around 5:30 PM, the room hadn't been cleaned at all. The in-room fridge works, but sounds like a freight train. Super loud all day and all night. I'd unplug it except we have stuff in there we want to keep cold. And last night - Saturday night - there was LOUD music until pretty late (I eventually put on noise cancelling headphones to try to go to sleep, so I'm not sure what time it actually ended). And our room (405) is on the Nevada side, so traffic, but no bars up and down the street. TV is just local and regular cable channels and a few on-demand movies. No YouTube or other streaming services (unless you can link from your computer), no HBO. And the screen response is pretty horribly slow. We asked tonight if we could have a late check-out tomorrow (Monday) morning and were told we should check with the front desk in the morning. This hotel has DEFINITELY gone WAY downhill from when it was a Wyndham Grand. There's absolutely nothing "grand" about it anymore. read more

My company booked a night's stay for me here for a work retreat. The hotel main area is getting renovated. After our first long day of the work retreat, my colleague and I went to check into our rooms. I was on the fifth floor. The room was very nice. Probably one of the nicer rooms I've had in work history. Lol when I opened the door, there's like a mini foyer area and off to the left is the bathroom area and then straight ahead is the bedroom area. It was an elegant little room. I love how they furnished the room simply and made it feel a little back in the days. It can even pass for a romantic night too. I love the shower and took a very long shower there. Lol I really enjoyed my night and the front desk staff were friendly. I wouldn't mind staying here again. read more

What a place to visit! I think that the only thing that this hotel doesn't have is free breakfast (or a coffee machine in the room) but when you consider the quality of the experience you're in for then free breakfast doesn't even register and the coffee in the coffee shop downstairs is so good that you won't even notice you're paying for it. The rooms are unique and quaint and make you feel like you're home even when you're not. The hardwood flooring takes you back in time and the colors calm you. The bathrooms are beautiful and lack absolutely nothing (in my opinion) and its location is top-notch! Couldn't be happier with my choice to stay here! read more

We came up from Denver for an event and while the hotel is pretty and rooms are spacious and clean. Unfortunately the staff not so friendly. We had issues checking in which we forego because we had an event but on the way out Mitchell at the front desk was extremely defensive, from the time we got to the desk. From us inquiring about valet to us calmly explaining to him the changing of credit cards from us to a 3rd party. My husband had to ask him to lower his voice twice. read more

We enjoyed the most amazing customer service I think we've ever ever had in any hotel -ever! from the front desk going out of their way for us from the smiles and happy greetings we constantly received from the people at the front door- and the coffee shop service was pleasant and happy even at that early and busy morning time. I think we just don't really expect that level of customer service anymore and it was so refreshing! The lobby, the lounge and the bar area are just absolutely gorgeous. You just keep marveling at all the furniture and the way they have decorated with the mid- century modern aesthetic absolutely perfectly. (Obviously that needs to be your thing - and it is ours.) Rooms were nice -small -but well appointed and comfortable. Don't know why we need to go to Colorado Springs again, but we would just to stay at this hotel one more time! read more

For a quick reunion and quick weekend stay we checked in late..around 11pm. Jill at the front desk was absolutely delightful and chatted with us as she checked us in. After check in she even gave us 2 vouchers for breakfast at their market ....very grateful because it covered the fri am and sat am and even the sun coffee before flying. We didn't rent a car but Uber and Lyft....I can't speak on the valet but they were on it while we waited. It's a perfect spot...walkable and a parking garage right down the street. The rooms...perfect for us however my only only negative was where we stayed we could hear the club next door. While I tried to sleep I heard it louder than other times. I had great sleep in the bed and absolutely loved the showers. I think if the club could soundproof some or the hotel...it'd be perfect. I still give 5 stars because overall it was great. Inside was clean and everyone was nice. I would stay here again for sure. 5.other people from our group stayed there. I was not sure if i would at first because the reviews were so varied. Well let's just say I am shocked how poor this place is post remodel. I have been coming here for over 2 years and supported them during the remodel. My first time back when it's fully open. The past super service great valet service and loved the fireplace on cold days and great vibe. Well pull up to valet and nobody there. Go inside and loud music blasting with about a dozen people sitting waiting on rooms to be cleaned. Now this is Sunday close to 4pm. Next I get my room 40 minutes later with running toilet, no working Wi-Fi in the room,TP holder is screwed into wall crooked so pull the paper roll and it slides off rod onto the floor, shower door handle smash's into tile wall when open less than 90 degree. Window in room is cracked from one side to the other. The music blasting in lobby is not only loud but just random stuff from jazz to tripping LSD rock and then banjo music. I called work in the lobby drinking a coffee and boss asked was I in a bar what is that crap blasting. I got a cold coffee in a plastic 8 oz cup that tasted like something drained out of mine shaft for about 4 bucks. It feels like you're in a crappy wannabe Starbucks vibe with the help that are clueless. Brought some issues up Monday and the lady at front desk said sorry but manager is not available and maybe you should call ahead to get car. So how do I call ahead with no phone in the room or valet contact number? Seems like a poor plan. Another customer told me there is some stupid text message way but no clue on those details. Tuesday valet is still AWOL and cars are stacked in green zone. Circled block for 20 minutes to finally get my car shoehorned between two cars. Got inside and ask to speak to manager and she refused saying he was in a meeting which happened to be 20 feet from the front desk. He was just chatting with somebody but way too busy to see a loyal customer or the cars stacked up at the curb with customers floundering in dangerous traffic trying to get stuff out of their cars. A few double parked in traffic to get their passengers out and a complete and utter safety issue. At this point I have had enough of this crappy service. I am done with this place and clearly a culture and management change happened for the worse. I checked out and finally got a manager. He was sorry and well we have no control over music and he seemed to blow off my valet concerns. The room issues well he just will look into it. Great as I am leaving. It's not a cheap stay here and there are plenty of options. read more

I have now stayed twice here and both experiences were great. No on site parking, but they have Valet which is about $50/night. The hotel is nice and cozy and within walking distance to their downtown. Complimentary waters both times I stayed. Welcoming staff. I love the bathroom! and the old bank vault downstairs. read more

Having new paint, trendy wallpaper, and an upgraded lobby will not make up for the horrific customer service/care I received on March 18. All morning while drinking coffee I saw employees proudly show the new amenities to people in the lobby, but when it came to my elevator malfunction, management disappeared. I booked two nights. After the first morning, the elevator dropped and we were stuck in the elevator. My daughter was terrified. The Colorado Springs Fire department had to put a ladder in the elevator, then we had to climb through the small space they had pried open for us. The hotel staff acted like they were doing me a great favor by covering my night, and I had to push for a second night voucher (which I have not gotten, and honestly do I want to go back)? My children had no desire to spend our vacation here any longer, due to safety. There was little to no empathy, and I had to go to the front desk and wait in line to discuss what had happened. No true feeling of care was made except the valet and fire department, who actually seemed to sympathize about my experience. Management wouldn't even come out, while an employee was going to the back room to "negotiate" my experience like a used car salesman. They seemed pretty annoyed by what I went through and the scene it caused. To top it off, as I was leaving the hotel, desk staff and the barista immediately stopped talking and stared at me like I was doing a walk of shame for leaving the hotel early. I was a little lost on "The Mining Exchange" title, but after talking to "J" at the front desk the meaning is pretty cool. She was awesome. I've never met a Front Desk Agent so passionate, helpful, and welcoming. She knew the full history along with sharing a map and historical photos.  The room was clean and very spacious with a large shower with two shower heads, and C.O.  Bigelow toiletries. The entire building and hallways were also very clean with no smell. Oh, the bedroom had a pretty cool exposed brick outlining the window.  If you're a fan of coffee/tea there's a little counter with a Keurig K-Mini along with glasses. I should also mention that the alarm clock has built in attachments for iphone/android products as well. I don't recall a pool, but there is a Spa and fitness center. read more

Was in town for three days to sightsee and visit a friend. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous- great vibe and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a silver king and the room was long and narrow so it was awkward when watching tv. The linens had a nice subtle scent, unlike the bleach smell a lot of hotels use. Ate breakfast in the lobby and it was delicious. Would appreciate an in-room coffee maker so I can have my first cup before getting dressed. Very friendly staff. read more

What nice atmosphere this hotel brings. Jill at the front desk checked us in and gave us some history about the establishment. The employees are incredibly gracious and accommodating. It was convenient and nice to have the coffee shop in the lobby with all its warmth and comfort. Rooms have been renovated and are very clean. Parking is street, valet, or nearby garage so we elected to make it easy and valet at the extra cost. read more

I stayed for one night from Saturday to sunday. I called at 12pm to see if they would let me check-in early since it isn't normally til 4pm and they happily accommodated! I also had a bike with me which had no issue being allowed in the hotel and bright to my room. The building itself is beautiful and historic. The building was originally where people would exchange gold and silver. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a pool or hot tub and has a very tiny gym. The bar is only open a handful of hours in the evening, and there is a nice patio space. If you want amenities this is not the spot. Our room was nice. It was small, but had great exposed brick design, comfy bed, double shower head shower, and clean sink and toilet. The location downtown is unbeatable. We had access to old old town, downtown, Manitou Springs, memorial park, and garden of the gods. The worst thing here is there is not great parking options. It's $25 a day for valet or metered parking is outside for $1.50 per hour during the hours of 8am to 10pm. There are a few parking garages around as well. We opted for metered parking since we wouldn't be parked the whole day and will be using our car. Luckily on sundays the meters do not start until 1pm I would probably try other hotels if I came back to the springs but definitely recommend read more

Stayed 2 nights, cannot wait to come back! Coffee here was the best we had during our visit in CO. Lobby was beautiful and rooms exceeded expectations. It is also a close walking distance to several restaurants and activities. read more

We had a wonderful stay at the Mining Exchange. It's a beautiful hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive from the staff who came out as soon as we pulled up to the curb and held the door for us to the check-in staff to the housekeeping staff. This time, we didn't visit the spa or the gym, but they are wonderful. We truly just enjoyed the view and being downtown. We had a lovely dinner next door at Springs Orleans. After dinner, we ran down the block for some new Pokemon (in Pokemon Go), and got an ice cream at Josh & John's on the way back, because that's what you do when it's cold outside in Colorado Springs! I appreciate that the Mining Exchange has supported IndyGive for years and thus many non-profits throughout the region! read more
