This hotel is so nice. I was here for a conference and looking at the Marriott and Hilton properties but opted for this instead. So glad I did. The hotel has been recently renovated - you can tell in the rooms and the beautiful carpeting. Everything smells new. The interiors are out of this world - tastefully done, and the service is above par. Kind and thoughtful staff who make it their job to make sure you have the best experience possible. This place is a cute photography area, saw some couples getting photographs done here.

Now that's quite lovely, isn't it?

I loved staying at this boutique hotel in downtown Colorado Springs. Right smack-dab in the heart of everything - walking distance to restaurants, pubs & parks. The rooms are nicely remodeled and include "very" comfortable beds and pillows, a walk-in shower fit for royalty (complete with nice products), and the room was decorated with art by local artists. If I had any feedback it was the room was a little sparse - I noticed several walls were completely bare - but hey, a minor complaint. One side of the hotel has additional artwork featured in the stairway. Check it out if you're there! It's a nice way to show off local talent. But to me, the standout is the lobby, complete with comfy couches, chairs, and lounge spaces that say "welcome: stay awhile." The coffee shop puts out amazing java (see my separate review) and I shared a glass of wine with a friend at the adjacent lounge. I did not have time to check out the spa or the downstairs fitness room. They do a creative job of carrying the "mining" theme throughout the hotel: the lobby features the names of local mines in Colorado; and if you need a little therapy, you can ask for your own healing crystal to be sent up to your room! They offer unique events, such as mini massages, tarot/palm readings, and feature local talent. Friendly service, tastefully decorated rooms & guest spaces, and a cool (& welcoming) vibe, this hotel is a tremendous ambassador for my old hometown. I'll definitely return!

Exquisite hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Lobby had an incredible flow, phenomenal employees, and incredible decor. No need to look anywhere else when we come back in April! Thanks!

I saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a try…read more I started with a few appetizers and ordered the Yak Albondigas, fresh smashed guacamole and Sesame Fried Calamari. For my entrées I had the Pan Seared North American Elk Strip Loin and the Summer Vegetable Succotash & Grits. Most of the dishes were good but two definitely missed the mark. The biggest disappointment was the peach cobbler. It was more reminiscent of a peach crumble than a cobbler. There were peaches at the bottom but it was heavily coated with crumble. It also lacked serious flavor and was much different than what I've had in the past. However, in fairness, upon serving the dish, my server did say it was Colorado style, which, definitely was a surprise. The other dish was the Summer Vegetable Succotash & Grits. The grits were cooked well but did lack flavor. The vegetables were delicious and I appreciated the variety. The calamari was amazing. It came with a sauce that only enhanced its already bold flavors. It wasn't greasy or crispy but cooked just right. I can't recall ever having calamari this good. My server was very personable, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. She also provided me the names of a few places to visit while in Colorado.

The place is rustic and artsy and provides privacy in all the nooks and cranny's. Lunch service is quite a value and includes delicious bread service complete with butter and pimento and then your choice of an entree or soup and salad followed by dessert. I had the sausage and white bean soup and chicken and mixed green salad and both were fabulous. The soup was a standout! The dessert was a simple rustic almond poppy poundcake and it was a lovely finish. The menu changes on a regular basis and reservations are highly suggested. I think my next trip here will be for brunch!

I came with my daughter and we picked 4 course dinner option. We ordered different items so we could try more . Everything was fresh ! Ingredients were of higher quality than most places I've been to in Colorado Springs. I also appreciated the freshness of dessert. As a baker I could tell that scone part of the dessert was recently and freshly baked and not stale. I always get a bit hesitant to order fish dishes at the restaurant but I could taste the freshness of salmon. It was great! I had cappuccino with my dessert and it was rich and of high quality . Espresso was flavorful. I'm rather critical of restaurants and food served and I was pretty impressed by this cute place. Great ambience, great service and food. I'll be back for more !!!

This visit brought me in for Mother's day brunch and it's evident that the establishment is under some major construction but this didn't deter from our feast. It seems the hotel could use some repairs and touch ups and so it's good to see that is underway. The buffet provided a wide variety of options from omelette station, breakfast items, seafood options, prime rib carving station, loads of sides, salad bar and more. My favorites were the au gratin potatoes, Brussel sprouts, and Mac & cheese. The dessert options were very limited as most items had run out and weren't refilled, but I was too full to care. Service seemed a little curt, but was sufficient. I don't think I would ever make a true judgement of a dining establishment based on a buffet experience so I'll have to go back for a regular service to truly explore what the Cliffhouse has to offer these days. Hopefully it is full of excellence as it once was. I'll be back.....

We came with a large party (24) - so maybe it's due to our number. - it seems every meat dish had black sauce covering the meat. I didn't taste the others' dishes but it may all have been same soy sauce based sauce . It tasted ok but not what I expected. - I had elk chops - it was cooked unevenly (some parts very rare some medium). - filet mignon was over cooked - Moroccan chicken had odd spices and was very dry.
