Local dive, cash only- buckle up because you're going to see a lot happen here that I can't really describe. Good luck and Godspeed.

I have to say, this was a bizarre experience. It was a holiday weekend, and they were totally…read morebooked up, and also short staffed. It was our first and only time there, so I'm banking on that they were a little off their game. So it took about 20 minutes for us to get water, or a waitress. Then it took what felt like 3 minutes to get our apps and/or entrees, which came about 2 minutes apart. Big portions, so we didn't get dessert. But I will say that the food was excellent. They have mocktails too. There was no one there when we left, so it because less stressful. I'd go again.

The 4-star rating is mainly for the portions and service. The first time I came here, I actually did not eat or drink anything. That's because as I perused through the menu, the restaurant lost power from a thunderstorm. So they basically could not serve food for an unknown period of time. I thanked them for being informative and kind and moved on to a different spot for the evening meal. I decided to return a second time. The wings (Buffalo and garlic parmesan) were well-fried and flavorful. The risotto had too much balsamic vinegar on top, and the rice tasted a little sweet (think rice pudding). Both were turnoffs for me, and felt fortunate that it wasn't my order. The buffalo mac n' cheese was quite good, with a large portion that made it satisfying. Service was friendly and kind throughout and the decor was okay, though a little dark inside (even when they had electricity). This is a decent choice for food and it is on a main road.

Literally every venture is a waste of my money and I suppose a punishment to my wallet is what I deserve for continuing to contribute to a business that I don't support. However, one of their only high lights that lead me to this dead sports bar is the fact that they are open before 4:00 p.m. Now that COVID came to town, people don't go to lunch anymore apparently according to businesses. If you want bland fried food for an average price, you will most certainly get what you're looking for. They don't season their baskets of fries, onion rings or pickles (when they had them). Literally plain batter. I did get a side of chipotle aioli and it was in fact, Mayo mixed with some chipotle sauce... not the bomb aioli's that I have had at other local places. The drinks are always over priced. I don't quite consider Stoli that top shelf for $8.00 vodka drinks. Nor a captain and coke $8.00 but maybe that's just me living in the past. Most of their pints are over priced. The wells are $6 which is fine but I don't know what they keep in their well because any time I have ever asked for a drink, it's always $8.00. I guess I need to inquire about the Burnett's special? I had an $8 draft mango craft which was fine, fun but had I known I could have nearly bought a six pack for one pour, I would have gone for an old fashion White Claw.. if they had it. Don't bother asking for a cider. They have none on draft and the two that were available were Stella for those who love mouth puckering artificial sweetness and some craft one that the bar tender had no idea what end of dryness/sweetness it was. The can of spoke of Juniper tones so I passed. I literally hate this place and am only giving it two stars instead of one because I'm the fool that continually agrees to go back to this over priced dump. The staff leave little to be desired typically. I won't judge today because restaurants don't staff accordingly anymore but the lack of personality and knowledge of product astounds me. Be better... go anywhere else.

The ceviche also wasn't sour enough. I wish our waitress had warned us we were ordering chips twice, as this dish came with chips as well. Tacos de Hongos y Nopal (7/10): Pretty good! The mushrooms and cactus were pretty tender. Empanada (8/10): Loved the texture of the masa. The stuffing was delicious, as was the pistachio mole. Broccolini (4.5/10): The broccolini was not cooked tender enough. The stems were pretty tough to chew through. The flavor of this dish was too one-note. Lacked complexity and balance. We had some really good food, but the ceviche and broccolini kind of ruined it for us. Location next to MoCA is really convenient, though. We did like the ambiance.
