Excellent hamburgers with lots of fresh produce and thousand island dressing. Burgers were made to order, with nice soft buns, wrapped In n Out style. Fries were tender, yet crispy and moist. Shake was. Super "chocalatey" and made with ice cream. Mmmm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual, Texas diner road house vibe, order at the counter, they bring it out fresh.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly staff...busy place for a Friday afternoon! Reasonable, old school prices. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unique, money themed decor inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will returning again for sure.

We usually hit the drive thru, but decided to dine in today and I'm glad we did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is fun and full of character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was both friendly and prompt. I had the mushroom cheese burger with LTOP and a vanilla malt. Everything was delicious! Definitely worth the stop.

Fast friendly service. Order at the counter & they bring the food to your table. Tables were quickly bused after the customers were finished as it was quite busy and they wanted to make room for new folks to dine. Had a yummy thick milk chocolate shake & a cheese burger. Extensive menu. Breakfast is also available. Prices are very reasonable. The juicy burger was draped over the soft bun. Real tasty but the cheese wasn't completely melted This is a casual solid choice for burgers if you are in the San Marcos area close to the 78 fwy.

My cousin loves this spot and I wanted to love it too but it just didn't hit for me [[HIGHLIGHT]]First the inside decor is cool though, for a quick fast casual sando this spot had a cool atmosphere and diner feel while carrying out the money theme really well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service also was super quick! But my sando just wasn't too great, good chance the cook in the back was having an off day and I'd be willing to try again since my cousin loves this spot so much but for me this time around- the chicken was just not crispy and it made my whole sando soggy. I think if everything was crispier it would have been a lot better. Fries were okay, nothing really to note on there. But I do need some more crispiness in the crispy chicken.

Definitely a great diner style vibes! We were helped by a very nice young lady at the register. The food was delicious and the prices were great! Very affordable and clean restaurant. We enjoyed our quick lunch but we will be back to try out their other food choices.

Such a great breakfast spot. It gives me a diner vibe but money themed. The ordering process was confusing when I first walked in, I do wish there was a printed menu. The food was delicious!

I finally tried Money Pit, a popular diner in San Marcos. Their Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger was very satisfying and I look forward to trying other dishes here!

Hardly any filling and way smaller sizes

Wow! Their wraps are now way smaller with less filling and more expensive. I've been going here for years. That's really disappointing.

Combo sampler. French fries, battered mushrooms, onion rings and zucchini fries.

Had a craving for onion rings and decided to try this place out. I must say that their sampler is a HUGE portion for the price. It contained onion rings, fries, battered mushrooms and zucchini fries. Definitely enough for three people. Also got the Greek style chicken wrap. Once again, good size wrap, chicken was seasoned well but dry. The wrap part was kind of thin and was falling apart by time I got home. Still tasty, just wish the chicken wasn't dry. Drive through does take a wee bit of time, but understandable with the large menu. Customer service was great and friendly . All condiments provided without asking.

This place is so rad! Everything about it. Service is nice quick and easy. Menu and food is awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun casual place to hang and enjoy the classics.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not from the area but working in town for a few weeks.

I feel like Money Pit is a small hidden gem within North County that people need to try! The restaurant theme is money so everything inside including pictures, tables and even the roof lined with Pennie's has to do with money. The best part is their prices can't be beat for the quality and quantity of food you get. I got a grilled chicken sandwich which was very good and their prices can't be beat. They also get your food fast so that it's hot and fresh as soon as it gets to you.

Ask the Community - The Money Pit Drive Thru

Do they still offer the chili cheese fry wrap? I haven't been here in years and they use to offer it. Just chili cheese fries in a burrito

You can still order it yes. They will make you anything there. I usually order the chili bacon cheeseburger. Yummy. Have to try the chili fries burrito

Can someone please get the owner to do Grubhub/Postmates or Uber Eats!?

Would ruin the service, as it already takes place plenty long! Also biz is booming

Is there really a drive thru? I’ve never seen one but reviews mention one.

Yes there is a drive thru

Are the chili cheese fries good?

Down right Bomb diggity!

Does this business have an outdoor patio? Is it smoke-free?

Yes. And it is smoke free

Do they have veggie burgers?

Yes!

There is a nice indoor/outdoor vibe as there are some really big glass garage type windows that open (or close). The service has always been very prompt and friendly. I keep going back to their pizza's as they are quite good. I also suggest checking the special of the day as they usually have some pretty cool ones. They also have beer! Quite a few to be honest and if you aren't sure they are great at helping you figure out what works for you. For good food served by nice people in a clean and modern environment, this is the place!

First off, Im 100% sure the owner here uses ChatGPT to answer all negative yelp reviews. Any business owner worth their weight is able to think for themselves and use their brain to answer unless they're completely illiterate or too incompetent to think of a good response. Second off, are they even a brewery? I see cans and taps of their own beer, but looking into the business, I dont think they own a brewery at all. This is more along the lines of a taphouse/pub. THAT BEING SAID, the food is quite nice. I think the pizza is great and it feels like they make and roll their own dough which is respectable and ambitious for a random little spot like this. But It is quiet...too quiet. The beer tender would constantly hangout at the handicap table talking to any co-worker with free time on their hands for a long time. Seems like a cushy job honestly. I'm assuming they would hold conversation with customers, but unfortunately There were no customers... its a ghost town, and i left thinking, "This place is creepy." I'll just pick up and eat the pizza at home next time. I'm waiting to see what generic CHATGPT response the owner gives me.

On a Wednesday, we stopped by H Brothers for lunch. Located in downtown Escondido, this bar and…read morerestaurant was recommended to me by one of my Yelp friends. We found free parking on the street a block or two down from the restaurant. Service (4/5): You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. A couple of things stand out to me about their service. I was looking at the menu and was about to order. Someone behind me cut in line without asking if I was ready to order. The lady working noticed this and asked me to order first. Humanity still exists! They also check on your periodically even though this isn't true table service which is a nice touch. On the flip side, they did try and upsell me to add bacon bits to my dish which I was all for until I saw it was a $3.50 upcharge. I asked them to remove it. A little too steep. Ambiance (4/5): My type of restaurant. Casual with some charm. We sat at a table across from the bar. They have some cool decor, too. No complaints. Drinks (4/5): I had a beer flight because I often can't say no to a flight. I love the variety and being able to try new beers, especially when I'm traveling. While they don't have a huge selection, they had just enough beers that were interesting for me to take the plunge. Food (4/5): I did the country poutine which comes with fries, gravy, fried chicken bites, and green onions. I'm a sucker for loaded fries so I couldn't say no. Especially for this twist on a classic poutine. Generous portion size as I had hoped. A little more chicken would have been nice, but outside of that, very solid.

The location has a pretty extensive menu written in chalk on the walk, and it's easy to read. There are choices of sandwiches, salads and a lot of great food in-between. After taking a minute to decide we went with the Southwest Chicken Salad ($16.99) as well as the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) with a side of hushpuppies. The sauce on the salad was flavorful with just a bit of zest, and they gave us extra so that was really cool. It's a really comfy place to eat with a little bit of a Louisiana feel to it. For good food served by good people, this is the place!

Order at the counter service for food and separately for drinks is efficient. The turnaround on getting the drinks is immediate and food come out at a good pace. This was my first and last visit to this location…read more We came for trivia night and were shocked by how rude and hostile the female bartender was. I initially brushed it off as a fluke, but as the night went on it was clear it wasn't just me. Multiple people in our group and others experienced the same behavior throughout the night when ordering food and beer despite being polite and friendly to her. The final straw was when our friend was walking to his car with his 2 kids and she goes out of her way to yell, "Bye, princess!" At this point enough is enough and we asked to speak to the manager. As we are explaining to him the crazy aggressive interactions we had she began yelling at us from behind the bar and even raised her hands as if she wanted to fight. Now things are getting heated and we asked for our bill before it escalates any further. The manager passively apologized for her and comped one of our tabs but didn't leave us confident anything would actually change. I thanked him for his gesture but explained it's not about the money, it's the crazy treatment to customers just trying to enjoy their night. After reading other yelp reviews, it's clear this isn't an isolated issue. It's unfortunate because we love Pizza Port, but we won't be back to this location. The food was decent and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, but one employee completely ruined the experience.

Pros: This spot is a good place to hang out if you're looking for a casual bar with activities like billiards and darts. The vibe is fun without being overly packed, which made it easy to enjoy the space. They have darts (which are free, you just leave your ID), a pool table, and a music queue system where you can pick songs to play, which adds an interactive element to the night. I didn't try the food but the drinks were solid and did not disappoint. The overall energy of the place was welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. It's one of those spots where you can relax, hang out, and have a good time. Cons: Parking here is probably the biggest downside. The lot is really small and gets packed quickly, so I wouldn't recommend relying on it. We parked nearby after eating at Copper Kings Burgers and just walked over, which ended up being way easier. Verdict: If you're looking for a fun, chill bar in San Marcos with games, music, and good drinks, this is a great spot to check out. Just plan ahead for parking, but overall it's definitely worth it and I would come back again!

But I can't tell if most people were just in the bar area - we were able to get a booth! The place was nice and loud since every one was having a good time. Several parties of 3+ and I saw 1 party of 6. They were doing an explorer menu from Yucatan. Interesting thing to do during Black History Month - I won't lie. I was surprised to see it. But we ordered from that menu. We ordered the fried plantain that came with a sauce and cilantro, sausage and pepper soup, and the BBQ pork. I enjoyed everything except for the plantain. They were basically a huge disc that was slightly crunchy. I was not expecting that since if I want a crunchy plantain, I will eat actual plantain chips. The soup was fantastic! It was a bit spicy but not overwhelming and full of flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl instead of a cup. And last but not least, the BBQ pork was very good. Served on lettuce as well, so if you are doing keto you can omit eating the tortillas that came with the dish. It also had pickled red onions and a salsa. The salsa was mild and with everything in the taco, flavors were balanced. We also ordered 6 Cajun wings. But today, they didn't seem as flavorful, a pity really. A grilled cheese was ordered but with hamburger meat inside. That seemed good and it came with fries. Washed all of this down with a sour that was called Boozy Berry & my fiancé had a West Coast beer. Food was enjoyable, atmosphere was fun. We will be back again.
