The reason for the low score review is not because of the quality of the food. I placed an order online. There was a glitch in the system and the order was charged 2 times. I didn't realize until weeks later when i received the credit card statement. I disputed the charge but the bank found the charges were not fraudulent - When I brought this to the manager's attention I was dismiss " there is nothing we can do about this" . If you order online , make sure you don't get charged more than once. Food is good but not recognizing billing mistakes is not best practices if you want your customers to come back - I will never order from this location again. Update - 4/2/2026 - I am changing the rate to 5 star. The management of TKS reviewed the transactions and issued a refund - Thank you so much for your response and willingness to correct an honest mistake. The workers are always really nice as well, and I even had one server check in on how my meal was. Again, rare for a chain restaurant to have that level of care. Food: I usually get the wraps when I frequent Kebab Shop. Quality of food is excellent especially for the usual price point. Fries are always crispy and stay crispy for the duration of the meal. Perfect stop before the Safari Park. We like that kids eat free on weekends, it's $7 but you have to order a drink too, so about a $4 discount. The bowl is pretty big for our toddler. It comes with your choice of meat (2oz) and 2 sides- we usually get fries and rice. He likes the chicken more than the beef/lamb. As for adults, we usually get the wraps. I like the lamb/beef wrap. The pieces are sliced thin. I got the chicken swarma and it was quite bland here. Wish they added a bit seasoning. But nothing that their sauces can't fix. Love their yogurt and spicy sauce. Staff here is better trained than the SM one. If using the kids free option, order at counter. iPad doesn't have that option. read more

I do think the price point is a bit too high, almost $20 for a bowl from a cafeteria style restaurants is too much in my opinion, but maybe that's just where we are headed with restaurants now. We walked up to the kiosk to order which was so nice because there are so many options and it's much easier to pick them for yourself on the kiosk! We ordered a costumized bowl with Falafel, saffron rice and baby greens and the San Diego Wrap with carved lamb and beef. The bowl was so good and fresh with the cucumbers and their O.G. Yogurt sauce and Cilantro Jalapeño sauce that was self serve. The saffron rice was fresh and was definitely high in quality! The Falafel was so good! Fried to perfection and made the whole bowl feel so light and fresh! The San Diego Wrap was also amazing! The fries inside we good, there wasn't too much or too little which I enjoyed! And the cucumbers again just radiate such freshness in every bite! We mixed the O.G Yogurt sauce and Jalapeño sauce and it was so good! I can happily return to this establishment!!! This place remains as my go to with a shellfish allergy. Fresh veggies, crispy falafel and fries, and quality proteins. The food is quick to turn out and serve. The relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to bring my kids in and is always welcoming. I have been eating at the Miramesa location since college. I'm grateful that they have this spot opened up closer to me and that I can share this food with my kids. My four year-old particularly enjoys the lemon crunch salad. She will pick out the chickpeas to eat them first, but she never leaves with a half full plate. They had shellfish on rotation a few months back, and I ordered not knowing because they never had shellfish before,they took special care and consideration with that past order and since then, I have avoided coming here. I practically cried tears of joy because I never want to put extra pressure on the Staff to safely curate a meal with my allergies. Again, I am overjoyed to be back. Stopped in to pick up lunch on my lunch break, and wanted to try somewhere new that just opened. The shop is very open and clean, also located in a great spot to get lunch and run errands. The cashier was very nice and helpful when I ordered. I ordered a carved chicken bowl with rice and fries, lettuce, cucumbers and their OG yogurt sauce. It was quick from order to receiving my food. Unfortunately when I got home to eat, I noticed they left out the cucumbers which is a bummer. The fries they also put directly into the bowl, I guess I need to remember to ask for it on the side, but that was an error on my side, not so much theirs since I didn't clarify. The food was ok, it felt lacking in the sense that portion size for the size of the bowl and its content for the price you pay was ok. The OG yogurt sauce was probably the best thing in the bowl. Maybe that with just some chicken and rice would have been better. So glad that we finally got a location in Esco! Before I had to go to RB or Carmel Mountain if I wanted TKS. This took the Chipotle spot when Chipotle took the spot across the street where Burger King went out. Restaurant hopscotch, lol. It's on the edge of the Target Auto Parkway location, which has a ton of other food options. So hopefully it does well. My order is usually a wrap or a bowl, with carved lamb/beef, or kofta. I had the steak this time, but probably wouldn't order again because it was cooked more than I like and had some gristle in it. It also was the most expensive protein, so my wrap ended up being almost $19. The fries in my wrap were also cooked too much. They were almost like those dried Pik Nik potatoes that come in a can. I'll probably skip the fries next time too, since those are also an upcharge. I do love the flavors, though. That's why I come back. read more

Came in here last night at about 8:20pm with my husband and a friend for quick dinner bite. I've been to this Kabob Shop and the one in Mission Valley several times. Food was consistent, as always. However the service was extremely poor. When I ordered our food, the woman at the register asked if it was for "here" or "to go." I stated that it was for here and she immediately and firmly responded with, "We close at 9." I said okay, put my receipt in my pocket and went to grab the table number she assigned me only to realize there were 2 different ones. I asked her which one was mine, #8 or #12. She looked at me and I asked again and then she firmly told me to check the number on my receipt. Again, fair, but she had a rude tone and look to her. I took my table number and went to the drink station. I grabbed a condiment cup to grab some of the garlic yogurt and spicy cilantro sauce only to notice that the sauce station was already packed away 30 minutes prior to closing. I went to grab a table for us and figured I'd just ask for the sauce once our food came. I noticed at least 3 of the tables were dirty. My husband needed to use the restroom while we waited for our food and the bathroom was already locked up for the evening and they weren't allowing anyone to use it. Once our food was ready, since we were given a table number to take with us, we thought they'd bring the food out. The woman at the back counter mumbled a number and when I looked at her confused she mumbled the number again. We just assumed there must be something up with our food order and our friend went up and ended up retrieving her food. A few minutes later someone brought out mine and my husband's food without calling out a number. Weird. We were still out of the restaurant by 8:55pm and someone that's worked in retail/food service, I never had any intention of staying past close, but they made the entire experience feel awkward and unwelcome. The veggies were the best part. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't good either. Very underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend it or suggest it to anyone. 2 stars bc the service was good and quick. The staff was friendly great and seemed hard working in front and back of house. It's not their fault the recipes they have to follow aren't very good.
