Parking is a bit difficult in this plaza. Free wifi available and plenty of seating, outlets available at the tables in the middle. I go to The Mugs once a week with my friend before class for a reason!! Baristas are kind and always helpful with drink suggestions and if you're not happy with your drink they will make adjustments. I love their espresso tonic especially with their homemade orange syrup! 10/10 always hits. My go to drink before was their blueberry matcha, always solid and consistently good. One of the few cafes I keep coming back to.

Stopped by on Saturday, 01/11/25 for the first time. I ordered the matcha latte (warm) which was a bit strong and wished it was a bit more on the sweet side. the matcha authentic taste was definitely there though. Great vibes, clean interiors, and lots of folks studying and/or on their laptops. A nice place to catch up with friends.

Parking is all around the building. From the moment we entered, the barista was very welcoming and helpful. It's a cozy space and has a modern feel. We ordered a nutella croissant and iced earl grey tea. Both were good! It is a bit echo-y inside so I felt bad because a lot of people were studying but my friend and I just needed a space to catch up (sometimes we can be loud). I went to use the restroom and it was a maze to get there! It was pretty clean but just gotta walk down a long hall and use their code.

I have visited The Mugs several times throughout the years and have always enjoyed relaxing inside the warm atmosphere while enjoying their drinks. My favorites include the orange espresso tonic and berry hibiscus tea cocktail. This time, I went with their hot chocolate. It was a simple, soothing drink. The hot chocolate's sweetness was subtle, and the chocolate flavor was nice but not particularly notable. The steamed milk was much appreciated with adding additional sweetness and creaminess. While not my favorite drink here, it was a nice change of pace and a decent noncaffinated option.

Baristas don't really acknowledge you when you are at the counter to order for several minutes. I should've done an online order because it would've been faster than just standing there. Not sure if it's a social anxiety thing for them- and I'm totally not trying to be a Karen about it. It's just plain awkward to lock eyes and then get ignored for 7 minutes straight? It's a weird vibe in there in general; service isn't the friendliest/maybe management sucks and it's wearing down the staff? Who knows? Lots of students studying so, not a lot of seating during peak hours. It's relatively quiet for a coffee shop. Music is not playing super loud. Some bench seating and a good amount of tables, if you do get here early to beat the crowds. I think in the beginning when they first opened, they were very coffee-centered and all about specialty beans; but nowadays they seem to focus on the sugary drinks. I tried to give them another chance but I think the quality does not really justify the price. But then again, this is Diamond Bar- not LA or OC; not a lot of great coffee shops in the area in general. The matcha isn't very high quality and my matcha latte was not very concentrated (tasted mostly like milk). Their strawberry purée is really tasty though. The drink was $7.66. I don't think it's worth the price. Then again, this is Diamond Bar- not much competition here.

If you're obsessed with buttery croissants, dreamy lattes, and a cozy spot, The Mugs is calling your name! This cozy cafe has some serious pastry and coffee game, and I am here for it. I met a good friend here to catch up on a Saturday morning, and we had a wonderful time. We shared a Ham and Cheese Croffle, Nutella Croissant, and Everything Croissant to eat. I got the Cold Brew w/ Almond Milk, and my friend got a Head Over Heels Latte; it was a Valentine's Day Special. Let me tell you - their croissants are STUFFED. The Nutella Croissant was a stunning two-toned croissant packed with Nutella, just wow! Their Everything Croissant also had a generous portion of chive cream cheese and had that perfect fluffy cheese with that savory croissant wrapped around it. As of February, they have a $2 promo when you get a pastry and drink, just make sure to add that promo when you are using the kiosk to purchase. They had a seasonal drink menu so I am sure their staff have fun making these. Their drink menu is super fun so I am sure every guest loves that. The Mugs has a bright, airy space, filled with big windows that let in so much natural light - perfect for catching up with a friend or settling in for a study session with your headphones. The vibe is super relaxed and inviting. I also got my eye on the Dalgona Latte, Rose Matcha, and their Lychee Lime Refresher for my next time here. I'll definitely be back with my laptop and a sweet croffle next time! Final verdict: This place is mug-nificient - I'll definitely be back for another visit!

Found this spot through Yelp and went there on the weekend to read with a friend & it was cute. So so many students were studying there so it was packed for sure. The drinks were delicious and would definitely come back. It's a casual and cute little place and does have a good along of tables. We had their croffles and those were delicious.

Are they closed? I was literally here just last week to grab a coffee in the early morning. It wasn't busy and the service was good. I got the Spanish Latte and it was good.

This place wins in all 3 categories, the food/drinks, ambiance, and parking! Food: if you love croffles you must try this place! Starting at $8 they have the best croffles I have had so far in the 626. First of all the price beats the cafes in Koreatown and they are consistent with the quality of the croffle. They also have a wide variety of other desserts but my favorite is the croffle! I am also a big fan of their matcha series, the matcha is smooth and not too sweet. Ambiance: Plenty of seating with tables and countertops. Service is quick here with two self ordering kisoks. Typically see people studying here rather than chatting. It does tend to get crowded during peak afternoon hours FYI Parking: big parking lot with plenty of spaces!

Love this place. Great place to do work and have a great cup of coffee. Part of a plaza and business building. Parking spots outside but not as plentiful as possible. Bathroom in another building.

Immediately I Yelped lol!! I'm in need of a Cappuccino this cool CA. morning with shot of Expresso. This delightful cozy modern coffee shop delivered to myself & the young ones in my party. Cold brews, hot brews or specialties were served here with a pleasant Welcoming Friendly Smile which made us feel at ease during visiting the area. Are you Hungry no problem! I had a mouth watering Breakfast egg mini brioche. We were fascinated with their exclusive Chorizo Siiii Chorizo pastry bite! Overall we had a Great Relaxing Morning! Parking is free and was available this Sunday morning!

I got the blueberry matcha, everything croissant, and chocolate croissant. The blueberry matcha wasn't that great because it was quite pulpy and the blueberry taste wasn't very strong. I'm not too knowledgable about matcha but my friend who got a matcha latte and my friend that's gone there before told me the matcha quality isn't great. But the croissants were sooooo delicious. They had it freshly toasted and the layers were so crispy and yummy. The interior was very nice and they maxxed out the spaces to sit so me and my friend found a corner to sit at.

I'm new to Walnuts and I'm glad I found this Cafe. Their baristas are friendly, lattes are various and yummy, plenty of seatings to get work done or study. It's a great place for meet ups and open hours are long (7am-10:30pm). Parking is kind of crowded despite the plenty spaces, lucky they have additional log underground, so you're good. Just take elevator up to the plaza! I've been to their other location at Irvine, which was also a great place to do work and study, so I'm so happy to find this location! PS: Orange Espresso Tonic reminds of a nice cocktail!

    Do they accept cash?

    No.

    Are there electrical outlets?

Yes. Under the long tables. There's few on the side of the wall.

    Is there wifi?

    Yes

For the milk alternatives that you use in your coffees, do you use a specific brand or do you make it yourself?

We use Califia Oat Milk, Pacifica Soy Milk, and Blue Diamond Almond Milk (all unsweetened). We also have half & half.

Is the Clover points system still in use?

We are currently using the loyalty program through Snackpass.

    Are there sugar free options?

You can order a drink without any sweetener or get them less sweet, but we do not currently have any sugar-free syrups.

Are they going to open? I came June 1st and it was still closed

I stopped by a couple of days ago. The place looked like it was under renovation. Their website is down and they no longer respond to messages. Probably closed for good or change of management.

    Are there outlets available?

Yes there are plenty with lots of people working.

What brand of mugs do they use? They look so cute and I would like to get some for myself. Thanks!

They sell the mugs there too. It actually might be cheaper to buy on your own though.

I felt awake after sipping. It's TASTY, fresh coffee! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card or Contactless Payment.) I arrived at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) on Thursday (around 9:17AM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious and big. However, this business has awful visibility; it's very easy for new guests to overlook it. But like a strongly guarded secret, this business is POPULAR. Staff is efficient and amicable. Staff is polite and knowledgeable, but Staff is also curt and very focused on crafting their coffee. My coffee took four minutes and 26 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Madagascar Vanilla Caffe Latte ($7 - Large - Iced). When thoroughly stirred, the coffee's true flavor blossoms. The potency becomes balanced, and the taste of vanilla & roasted coffee lithely intertwine. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a smoky caramel. There's utility and personality in this freshly brewed coffee. It's easy to understand why this spot is so popular. On ambiance, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is a study/work paradise. Unlike the tiny outside, the interior is unexpectedly spacious. There's about six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details are in small text on the counter's menu. The location also has about four tables, one long wooden table, and five mini portable tables. In addition, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is clean, well-maintained, and well-ventilated. There's a gender neutral restroom in the back, and the music is chill & calm. The location is filled with working college students whispering about Harvard and preparing for the future. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar). The coffee is affordable, good quality, and functional. The location is comfortable and calm. If searching for a wonderful study/work spot, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5!

For the pastries, it looked like a lot of the ones I was hoping from browsing online were not available. I ended up getting the biscoff cheesecake. It was on the sweeter side but it was very good. For the drink, I ended up getting the banana latte. Been on a streak of getting that lately so wanted to compare with other stores. I didn't get a lot of banana in the taste. At least it had an espresso shot for the caffeine fix and did not taste like the artificial banana. Nothing special there and stand out. For the interior, they had a few seating they primarily accommodated a few groups of four and two. I was able to grab a bench seat that had an outlet. The store also has their own house espresso which was a medium dark roast. American Express is accepted as a payment option here. Overall, it was a decent work spot. If I come back, I'd prefer to try another drink and hope other pastries are available. There were a few cookie crumbs at the bottom too so I'm not sure if they incorporated it in the syrup or if it just sank to the bottom by the time I got my drink. I also tried the hot horchata latte but it seemed more like a regular latte sprinkled with cinnamon powder because there didn't seem to be any syrup. What I love most here is the ordering experience. There are multiple large touchscreens where you can fully customize your drink -- sugar level, ice level, add-ons, substitutions, you name it. I almost always go for zero sugar, and the fact that I can do that easily is a huge plus for me. It's the kind of flexibility that modern boba shops should all offer. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, which is refreshing compared to some other spots in the area. Is it the most amazing boba I've ever had? Honestly, no -- but the ability to build your drink exactly the way you want it more than makes up for it. There's also a large display screen showing order status, so you always know when your drink is ready. It's a small touch, but it makes the whole experience feel smooth and stress-free. I'll be real though -- I probably drink more coffee from the Starbucks across the street than boba from here. At the end of the day, coffee feels like the healthier daily habit.
