Bestie shared this spot with me a while back and I had cravings and even though it is a trip away from home it was so worth it! The cafe has plenty of seatings indoor and during my visit I can see that people were comfortable and enjoying each others' company. It's definitely a very welcoming cafe. The barista was super sweet, she took my dalgona latte order and my son's croffle order. Everything came out pretty quick. and the dalona latte satisfied the craving! Love when cafes offer free wifi and merch available to purchase (it sits in the corner and everything is super cute). The restrooms are in the building and so a code is needed. Oh where do i begin... When I first came here I ordered an Iced Spanish Latte with almond milk and I have yet to find another coffee shop that can match it. The cinnamon, the coffee, the everything .. its amazing. I have been here around 5pm where it is busy with students and I have been here at 7am where it is completely empty. Each time I have had great customer service and a great coffee to match. I love the coffee here and I suggest it to all my friends ! They do have pastries and food items available. Plus a little stationary section with original items from various artists for sale! There is a bathroom located next to the shop. There is table seating inside and one table outside. Th Mugs has become a frequent studying place for me over the past month, but this will be my first time leaving a review. Whenever I come in, the people behind the counter are always super friendly and greet me with a welcome. I not a huge coffee drinker so I usually get their matcha lattes. The matcha powder they use is pretty great because even just their original matcha latte is delicious. My personal favorite would be their strawberry matcha latte with oat milk, though! I order on the kiosk and the process is relatively simple. My friends have told me that their coffee is yummy, though. Inside, there is a giant communal table, a few small tables, and individual seating lining the perimeter of the shop. There are outlets along the high seating area (not the ones where you can look outside) as well as under the giant table. I really like how there's a lot of natural lighting because of the big glass windows. And, compared to other coffee shops, they have great indoor lighting at night. read more

The first was a sandwich & drink combo, so I got the pizza sandwich and an iced blueberry matcha latte. The matcha is very earthy & grassy with subtle astringency. I didn't love the clumps, though. The pizza sandwich was surprisingly, so good! It had mozzarella cheese & pepperoni, sandwiched between two buttery, flaky croissants. I chose ranch as my dipping sauce, but honestly, it didn't need it. I devoured half the sandwich before I left. My second combo was a hot caramel banana latte & the Nutella croissant. Honestly, the latte didn't taste much like caramel, but it tasted like a banana Laffy Taffy. The Nutella croissant was so good! It had flaky salt garnished on top, which I thought was a great addition as it balanced the sweet and rich Nutella. Service was adequate to say the least. I feel like they were having fun behind the bar (which I love), but there's always work-life balance. It seemed like they were just getting paid to make the items, rather than being actual baristas & talking to customers. One of the best cafes in the area although the chairs are arguably uncomfortable. I feel like it's always packed every time I visit but that speaks to how loved it is by both locals and visitors alike. The quality of the drinks is always great and I wish mine was served in an actual mug but apparently it's only possible if they have enough clean ones. You can't go wrong with the Honey Lavender Latte especially if you're a fan of floral drinks. It's not too sweet and gives a nice hint of lavender to accompany the coffee taste. The Horchata Latte, on the other hand, is definitely sweet and I think they actually use rice milk so it tastes pretty authentic. The last thing we grabbed was a Dalgona Latte which came with dalgona candy bits at the top and is a fun take on your classic latte. read more

Mugs used to be another Korean cafe. I have to say the menu is kind of interesting. There doesn't seem to be any size differences and when I came in they were out of lavender flavoring.. it's one of the best flavors for lattes and one that pops out on their menu. So instead I tried the orange flavoring. It was.. not at all organgy. Perhaps a little fruity but it wasn't nearly as weird as I prefer it to be. Maybe that's a good thing? The dalgona latte, which I didn't try, but looks to be their signature drink. Comes with honey combs :) and only cold. The vibe here is very chill with full on internet and an adorable password. Very nice ambiance and quiet but not going to lie.. coffee is pretty expensive when you make dairy substitutions. The two drinks cost one expensive lunch. $15 for two. This is one of the closer mugs to where I live, and the interior is very nice! However, some things I'm not really a big fan of. Don't like the automated machines tbh, it feels too impersonal. Not only that, my drink which was a blueberry matcha felt like it had no soul in it (I know that sounds kinda ambiguous, but that's the best I can put it). Bathroom is in the whole other side of the building, if you come here to do work, it might be recommended to have a partner to watch your stuff. Ordering through their machines is great because you can see pictures of each item and customize everything to your liking. They also serve food such as Croffles and Sandwiches. Always packed with people studying, so it can be pretty difficult to find a spot (especially one with an outlet) so come early. The music is a bit loud and people are chatting, but if noise don't bother you it's a great place to get work done. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Their restrooms require you to take a short walk to inside the building and need a code, but I appreciated that they had multiple stalls unlike other coffee shop restrooms that only allow one person at a time. read more

I can see why this place is popular because there is a big community table to study and many seats at the counter. That said, there weren't any outlets to charge laptops. I was meeting with my Mentee for coffee and she picked The Mugs. Mentorship 101 Pro Tip - You should let the mentee pick the spot to facilitate better conversations since they can feel more comfortable to open up. Parking was challenging but achievable; you might have to walk far. They have good seating outdoors and indoors. Obviously the indoor seatings are the one with outlet access. When you come in the staff won't say hi or good morning or anything. There are two self serve kiosks for you to figure out for yourself. Is it so hard to multi task and make coffee, you can't say good morning or welcome even if I order at the kiosk. *shake my head* It's crazy I get a more personal experience from chains than a mom and pop shop coffee place. Anyways, I order an iced Banana Caramel Latte ($5.85) and a Strawberry Croffle ($8.85). I get a text with an approximate wait time and seat myself. Oh and of course the kiosk had the nerve to ask me for tip when the staff can't even say Hi to me. I came early to my meeting to pick a good spot. Good help is hard to find so I had to clean the seating area myself with my wet wipes since there were crumbs left by prior customer(s). The Strawberry Croffle was great! Maybe a tad sweet with all of the sweet ingredients. I probably would have loved a savory croffle more but the sweet one paired better with coffee. I would come back for more croffles if nothing else. Unfortunately the coffee was less impressive. The cup was small for the price, and I would have been bummed if I liked it. As an avid coffee consumer, I did not finish my coffee. The description was so desirable with the likeness of a Korean banana milk with caramel and condense milk. I love condense milk... not sure why they drink came out so bitter. I enjoy strong coffee since I'm Vietnamese, but this was straight up bitter. Not a fan. I didn't throw it away immediately but I also didn't care to drink it so eventually it went bad and I tossed more than half away. I might come back for the croffle if my mentee wants to meet here again, but I'll stay away from their coffee and I'll remember to bring my own wet wipes again if I want a clean seating area. Feedback to the business, a simple Hi or Welcome is the difference between a 3 star or a 4 star when you come in at 3.5. Cute little study cafe that is located on the corner of a shopping/dining center. Parking and seating is very taken up on weekends!!!! Sometimes a seat for one person will be available but is hard with two people. You order on a self serve kiosk inside the building, they offer all sorts of drinks and some food. The price range is pretty high up there about $6-8 a drink. Adjustments like alternative milk is $1 extra. My strawberry matcha latte came out to be $8.50 in total (with tip). The drink itself is pretty good even though I wish it was a little cheaper. Something to be mindful about though is that they did not have outlets at the window seat. The food here is actually delicious though, I recommend the breakfast sandwich which is relatively cheap. They are open until 11pm (which is a lot later than most coffee shops) so it's a great place to do late night studying. For drinks, they have all the classics and some seasonal drinks as well. We ordered an iced Spanish latte and an iced dalgona latte and found both to be light in both coffee and flavor.. Needs another shot of espresso I think. They actually tasted really similar to one another and I would think they're the same drink except the dalgona one had a piece of floating sugar in it. The AC was also barely on and it was really warm inside with 20+ students with their laptops open leaving no seating anywhere. Maybe a decent place to sit with a teatime snack, if you can find a seat, but I don't think I'll ever come back for their coffee.
