The nail salon closest to my house closed down, so I decided to give this place a try. Prior to visiting I made a phone call to ask what their weekend hours were. They told me and asked if I wanted to make an appointment. An appointment? I was told that they were really busy over the weekend, so an appointment was recommended. They were right. I arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and I was the first one there for a pedicure. By 10:30 the place was packed! Sheesh! I got a special pedicure where they use a cream and wrapped my feet in plastic wrap and soaked my feet to remove dead skin and callouses. That service, along with a regular pedicure was $27.00 (or more), I believe. Within 5 minutes, the dead skin was off without the use of a pumice stone, a scrubber, etc. The nail salon is clean, professional and the staff is nice. I will be returning. read more

Two weeks ago, I requested a gel pedicure and manicure which is respectfully overpriced. My assumption is the offered massage while your nails are drying is a complimentary touch that makes up for the price. The technicians massage you for 20 seconds and sit back down. I got an ingrown toe nail and had to have a painful procedure. I have NEVER had an ingrown... my pedicurist rushed to do my toe nails, cut my cuticles and sloppily trimmed the sides. My foot has never been in this much pain. The manicure is already stripped. I only come here because it's local service. I'll sacrifice to go elsewhere, have also had issues with lack of manners from the staff. When they're crowded, I'm not greeted... needs to improve customer service. read more

Went here for a pedicure and callus removal treatment. I've been here before and thought the service was ehh but the staff was cordial...so, I tried it again, because it's local and I won't rule out a place after one visit. But this was the fastest and poorest quality pedicure & callus removal I've ever had. The entire appointment took about 15m, tops. The technician was doing everything so fast I was afraid she would hurt me as she cut my cuticle. My expectations for a pedicure outside of a spa are pretty reasonable, so I was shocked at the experience. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place at all. read more

I think they did an okay job on my gel mani and pedi. I thought it was definitely overpriced for their lack of tools and customer service. The ladies were really friendly, but I definitely think they need more experience. I called them ahead of time to request SNS with tip extensions and when I arrived, they almost urged me to just get the gel. Reluctantly, I agreed. Coming in, I felt like I walked in at the time they were going to close! Anyway, during my manicure, there were two ladies that did each hand. They didn't ask me for a reference photo and just started filing my nails. I also asked them to cut my cuticles and push them back at least before applying the gel, but they went ahead and did the gel and cut my cuticles after they did the hot towel and lotion. They also just went ahead and started cutting the extensions without asking me how long or short I wanted it. They were using hand files rather than the electric files which is why I believe they encouraged the gel than the SNS. Anyways, they didn't measure or compare lengths on each hand which resulted in different lengths and shape of nails. From a distance they look fine and I guess thats all that matters. This was also $100 (extensions) and $10 (gel) = $110 As for my pedicure, the lady barely filed my toes and did a bad job at the callous removal on my heel. And since its a spa gel pedicure, I really expected more. Not only did she cut the skin of a couple of my toes, but when applying the antiseptic and the base gel coat, it started burning. On top of that, water temperature and lack of other pedicure spa additions werent included. It was just water, a very gentle leg massage, and really harsh filing. This was also $50. My toes weren't in the desired shape and again, was not asked for a reference photo. They were slightly uneven and round rather than square. All in all, I've paid $168 for better customer service, staff quality, tools and experience at other places. I really just felt so uncomfortable because they made me feel like I was asking for too much. This service was way too overpriced for very mediocre quality overall. Will I be coming back? This place would be my last resort. Call me picky, but I dont think this service was $168 worth. I also noticed that they didnt sanitize their tools between each customer. So that was also a turn off for me. read more

Like another reviewer said, it's one of those simple, busy nail salons you find all over NY. Great, fast service and very good manicures and pedicures. My only complaint is really for newcomers or one-off visitors - I feel they are not always transparent about pricing. They have a service list of pedicures without listing a regular pedicure. She asked me which one I wanted. Had I not known tht there was a regular pedicure on offer, I would have ended up paying $27 instead of $19. Another time, I was asked if I wanted a quick-dry top coat (who wouldn't?), but wasn't told until after it was used that it costs extra. And yet another time, a manicurist asked if I wanted to use a callous gel on my heels and didn't tell me about the additional charge until I questioned why the bill was higher.... I like this place because it reminds me of the plethora of similar spots that used to be available to me on the UES. Here in North Riverdale there aren't that many options for Mani-pedi at good prices. I usually go for the petite spa pedicure which is $30 but includes a 10 min foot massage and some other extras. Service is good and what you would expect. Biggest downer is that they are closed Sundays. :( They take Visa/MC for $20+, but require tip in cash, FYI. read more

Very disappointed with my manicure. My friend and I payed 40 dollars for an SNS manicure on Thursday which when finished seemed perfectly fine. Within only 3 hours later my friend and I both realized that some of our nails had cracks in them already. Every single one of my nails cracked and are now all chipping. This is a picture of my nails all chipped do to the cracking one day later. Very outraged that i payed 40 dollars for a manicure that is supposed to last 2 weeks but only lasted a couple hours. The lady who did my nails was very nice but she clearly didn't execute the sns manicure correctly at all. Not to mention they only have about 10 colors to choose from not much variety. DO NOT COME TO THIS SALON UNLESS YOU WISH TO BE BLATANTLY DISREGARDED!! I have been patronizing this nail salon since I moved to the Bronx in 2012 and NEVER have I been treated as I have been treated this afternoon. I went in for a pedicure and to soak off my acrylic nails. When I asked Maria how much it would be, she said $10 and I thought all would be well with the world. Sadly, that was far from the truth. I have no qualms about my pedicure. Kelly did a wonderful job. However, when it came to remove the acrylic from my nails the service was less than sup par (if such a thing is even possible). For starters when Maria cut down my nails to quicken the soaking process, SHE CUT MY THUMBNAIL DOWN PAST THE SKIN. This happened even after I asked her to be cautious because these are actual my nails. I didn't even get an apology. Secondly, my service was extremely rushed. To speed up the process of my nail soak, Maria proceeded to try and remove the rest of my acrylic overlay with a metro card. Yes, I did say METRO CARD. I asked her to stop because I know that yanking off acrylic from your nail damages your nail bed. I should have taken my hand back and walked out then but I wanted to try and give her the benefit of the doubt. Even after all this, do you think she stopped? Nope. She attempted again until she caused me pain and then she switched methods. I'm I was so shocked because I am asking her to stop and she.still proceeded to do what she wanted because "soaking take too long". To make a long story short, I will not patronize this establishment again. I was completely appalled by the treatment I received and if they can do it once? They'll most likely do it again. And why should I spend my money where I am clearly not respected? Final note: Go here at your own risk. I was always a good customer here. I came for the more expensive mani/pedis and came on a regular basis. The last time I went I got a pedicure that was supposed to include reflexology. That didn't happen. I wanted to try shellac for the first time. I am terrible at messing up my manicures and wanted something that lasted more than a couple of days. It lasted 4 days before it started peeling. I tried it again and it only lasted 2 days. Then I find out they were supposed to use the UV lamp to cure it which they did not, either time. Why charge me for a shellac manicure if you aren't going to do it properly? Just give me a regular manicure. COMPLETE rip off and if they will do that to a regular, I hate to see what they do to newbies. Never again. read more

Just came to this nail salon a few weeks ago for the first time. The gel manicure was great. The woman doing my nails was kind, did not talk too much and listened to my requests to not cut too much cuticle&to be perfect on the edges of the nail. The gel manicure I received has not chipped yet and it's been almost 4 weeks!! (I know it's time to get a new manicure but I wanted to see how long it would last). Nice place for either a manicure or pedicure. It was a very efficient processs here--one person did the pedi, another the manicure. I liked the disposable plastic liners for the pedi spa--less worry about germs. The menu for the pedicure was very specific about what you were going to get. I was turning into a regular customer . I really liked Cecilia ( I think this is her name) she had nice ways to make me try new things and I kept going back until the day when I had the distinct feeling that I had been ripped off. One day C. suggested I should do pedi as well as my UV gel fill . , C did my pedi and another lady took over to do the nails I wanted just a fill but she insisted on doing the whole set again, She was good but kind of rough, she hurt me a couple of times. In the end I was charged 145 dollars! $45 for the pedi for which I was prepared since , C told me , and $100 for the UV gel French Manicure. I paid without complaining because it was beyond closing time but on second thoughts 100 dollars for UV sounded too pricey , I have paid from $65 to $80 in other places for the same service . So when I returned the next day to pick up my uv gloves ( for which I paid an extra 10$) the lady told me that the 100$ included the gloves. That's when I doubted their honesty, and I no longer want to be their customer SO even if you have been going for a while, beware and always ask first because their prices change according to how gullible the customer looks Patrizia read more
