I show up for my appointment to be to told they don't follow that only certain days. So even though they CONFIRMED my appointment with a certain tech they just do whatever they want. The lady told me Jenny knows and that's how she does it. So don't waste your time booking. The unprofessionalism here is hard at work. Instead of confirming something you have no plans on honoring, you could let customers know. We drove from Pace for this appointment. Such a waste of time. As my daughter and I first entered the establishment we were immediately greeted and well taken care of, we were served waters and my daughter was served cookies. Very enjoyable! My daughter got a gel manicure and it turned out incredible. The tech didn't even charge me for it (apparently). My daughter tipped her a $20 and we were very happy! I, myself like to get just my toes done. I'm super easy to please. I don't need any fancy extras. I don't like my legs to be touched due to my vein health. So I usually just get a bare minimum gel pedicure. I spent $100 on this pedicure not including my own $20 tip.. only to just now notice while I'm doing my morning yoga that my toes look awful!!!!!!!! I am beyond upset that I did not notice this yesterday (I was preoccupied with my daughter to look at them) or I would have had them redone! I am beside myself at the amount of globs of paint and lack of paint in some areas. She chipped and cut a gouge out of my big toe nail and I have paint on all of my cuticles! Believe it or not I picked most of it off before I decided to write this review. I don't often like to complain on social media but I don't get out to Cordova very often so I most definitely will not be back. Where as prior to seeing this my daughter and I decided it was our new favorite place. Happy service is not worth the money!! I'm embarrassed for my man to look at my toes. This place has always been "iffy", but they blew it finally for me. I received a terrible mani and pedi from Kim. She did my pedi first, which should've been dried within the hour. 5 hours later, still damp and totally ruined polish. Went to get a manicure. I said I wanted gel with the manicure. The lady who did my nails didn't speak very good English. But she nodded and said "yes gel, yes manicure." A gel manicure is listed at $40 in the pricing list. When I went to check out, they charged me $27 just for the gel polish and an additional $27 for their "house manicure" totaling $57 for the whole thing vice the expected $40. When I asked them why it wasn't $40, they said "well you got the sugar scrub..." I told them all I asked for was the "gel manicure".. no where did I ask for a $17 sugar scrub. Needless to say, they still charged me the $57, no discount. So I will not be a returning customer. Additionally, the service itself wasn't very good. The polish did not go on smoothly. Twice she had to repolish because their paint left little tiny holes/bubbles. Even after fixing it, it still left with one of my nails still messed up. Jenny THE OWNER was completely rude and arrogant. After I paid $85+ dollars for the second time in a row within a few weeks she would not stamp my discount card for my prior visit which I proved to her I had. She began to tell me how she would rather loose business and customers completely than to give the $1.00 stamp discount. She stated that her employee should have done it before, but sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. To loose a customer that spends between $150-$200 a month just because of the "principle" as she stated is not only poor business, it's completely unintelligent to put it nicely. Don't spend your money in a place that doesn't value your patronage, hard earned money or you as a customer. I asked for a French tip short nail and left with red nails. My nail tech was extremely aggressive about not being able to give me a French tip. So I said okay let's just do a light pink. She still was trying to convince me that it would be see through (which you can just add more coats to the nail if that we're actually the case) I felt like I could not convince her of this. I was so defeated and upset that I didn't want to fight with her. I should have just left at that point but I was with a group. So I picked red and she took about 2 hours to give me a sloppy and painful single color manicure.... And charged me $63. I have never left a nail salon feeling so upset and disappointed. I will never be returning to the Nail Lounge. I would highly advise against this business. Literal scam artists. read more

Tan does a terrible job. I've personally left the salon crying because of the job she did. She takes forever and her work is sloppy. My mom and sister have had similar experiences. Recently Tan did a design my mother did NOT ask for, it looked terrible, and then CHARGER her for it. My experience here started out pleasant. I came for a simple fill in which is listed as $17 on their site. I didn't get gel polish or any designs or add ons. At checkout it was $40 before the tip. I paid but ended up going back inside to inquire about the price because that is a large gap from what's listed online. The manager said the prices online were wrong to which I said "oookay how is a customer supposed to know that?" She handed me a physical menu book which still had an acrylic fill in listed as $27. That's still $13 cheaper than what I was charged. I again pointed at the price discrepancy and she said "well you have length and shape so that's an additional $10" I have short/medium acrylics. They're not unreasonably long and they're rounded. Even if it was an additional $10, that should be itemized on the receipt and that would be $37 not $40. Making up prices as you go and having vastly different prices online and in your physical menu is YOUR fault as a business, not the customer. The customer shouldn't just be expected to pay more without being made aware of the prices beforehand. I definitely will not be back and don't recommend this place to anyone. This place is really dirty. Several of the chairs are broken. The massagers didn't work on my chair, and the arm rest wouldn't come down for my friend's chair. They kept pestering me to do my nails when I just came in for a basic pedi. They say it's 30 min pedi, it took 15 min. They didn't let my feet soak before they started working on my toes. After I said 3 different times, just the pedi, they then interrogated me about why I didn't want my nails done, what was my job? It was weird. The floor was covered in gross trash and stains. The chairs were sticky. It was $70 for 2 pedis, with a tip, and I won't be back. If it was clean, we'd try again, but it's the dirtiest nail solan I've ever seen. Gross. read more

So, as you guys have noticed, I have been searching for my go-to nail salon. I hit up a couple of... well let's just call them 'lack-luster' salons recently in the name of penny pinching. I decided to up my spending limit and branched out to The Nail Lounge. I've been before, but it was years ago so I went in with little-to-no expectations. Y'all. I was not disappointed. Seriously, fucking awesome. The place is clean and organized. There's a bar you can wait at (if you actually have to wait, but there's very rarely a long wait time because they are so well-staffed.) Complimentary drinks like water, soda, wine. Yes, please! The technician who did my nails was named Ann. Anne? With an E maybe? I'm not sure. She's probably the only Ann there, though. Now, Ann and I didn't talk a lot. But if you know anything about me, you know that's right up my alley. We shared a few pleasantries, she asked about my work and my baby but we mostly just sat and I enjoyed the ambiance of the salon. At no point did she try to change my mind about he length or shape of my nails. Which sounds trivial, but that's the experience I've had lately with technicians. I got SNS Dip nails, and I chose 3 colors, which I was fully prepared to pay extra for the extra colors but she charged me a flat rate of $45 for the dip. Which is fairly average in town, so I was grateful. After all was said and done, I tipped Ann double what I had planned because it was such a pleasant experience and I was in and out within an hour. Hell to the yes, y'all. 10/10 would recommend. I'll be seeing Ann again soon, no doubt. **edit** I gave 4 instead of 5 stars ONLY because it's a little expensive for my taste, but the service and experience was definitely pleasant and well worth it compared to the other places I've tried out recently. read more

I would not recommend this nail salon. In fact, I would advise anyone I talk to, to not go there. There is nothing relaxing or enjoyable about the experience. You feel rushed because they just want to get the next person through. I am also very upset that I now have toenail fungus on my big toe because of their dirty pedicure tools and foot baths. When I went there I did not have any issues with my toe, but when I removed the nail polish they applied a few weeks later, I was horrified to see a yellow nail. I have never had that issue before in my life, and now I am so embarrassed of my feet. That should be the exact opposite of how someone should feel after visiting a salon. read more

I gave them a three out of five because the good did outweigh the bad, but not by much. I went in because I was wasting time before my flight. I had peeled off the gel from my manicure on one nail so I figured I'd go and get all the gel removed and just get them painted again. A pedicure didn't hurt either. It was time. When you walk in, it is a breath-taking experience. You are immediately greeted and seated with your technician. Prices are not found in the establishment though. I only saw the price of my pedicure bc I was asked to choose which level of pedicure I desired. The price is on the list. The massage chair worked well and my technician worked quickly and skillfully. It wasn't until the gel removal was I disappointed. First, he was attempting to remove the polish too quickly and he used so much acetone that it was spewing out of the foil. He wouldn't let the acetone soak so he had to scrap and reapply over and over to get the gel completely removed but I can still see it on my nail... I told him that I bleed easily and he barely cut my cuticles... When he painted everything seemed ok. But as I was checking my nails after paying (and tipping), I noticed the defects and wished I hadn't tipped so much... This place is an awesome nail shop but the technician I used could have done better. I would also ask for a menu. The technician is not going to break down the prices on your receipt. Lesson learned for me. I probably won't go back. read more

Ok I am in Pensacola for work and needed to kill some time. I found this place because it was one of two places open on a Sunday. When you walk in, the atmosphere makes it look like a bar instead of a nail salon. The woman at the front desk was very nice and directed me to my manicurist. I walk back and Fu was my guy. Let me tell you...this man is nothing short of phenomenal! He takes his time and he's the epitome of a perfectionist. (He said he doesn't like polish on skin so we have an understanding that it goes just on the nail) i got the gel for the very first time and it is flawless. I was a dedicated customer for years but the past few months I've had awful experiences. A few months ago I got a dip powder manicure and the tech cut me three times, had to redo her work once because the powder was bad (noticed after 45 minutes) then the end result was lumpy and uneven. I asked for them to correct and they said they would if I paid another 40 something again. I ended up going with a gel manicure by a different tech instead. He did a good job. But I was very unsatisfied with the overall experience and they didn't not seem to care. This past week I got a pedicure and gel manicure. The paint job was horrible and my toes chipped after two days. Gel manicure must be sealed to the nail and careful not to paint on the cuticles. I asked the tech to clean it up and he said it would be fine "if not come back and see me and I'll fix it". After a couple of days the gel started to lift around the areas where my cuticles were painted on. I called within 5 days and spoke to the owner, Jenny. I asked to schedule an appointment for the next day after work but she said I'd have to pay for the updates. She rudely interrupted me and would not listen. She told me since it had been a week (although gel should last 10-14 days if done right... and it had not been a week especially considering I had it done Tuesday night and it was Sunday early afternoon) there was nothing she could do. She said she didn't want to get in the middle of the situation with me and the tech. I told her this was the second time I had a horrible experience and was disappointed in the service provided... in the middle of a sentence she hung up on me. I called back and she made her new front desk girl answer. Jenny refused to speak with me because she was "too busy". Terrible way to handle what is already a poor customer experience... and the second time! Don't waste your time and money! I feel even worse for her employees. I come here about once or twice a year. Just went recently and the manager/owner did my nails. She did a good job but the acrylic was too thin which caused my thumb nail to break, mind you I haven't even had my nails done a full week yet. I went back to get the nail fixed. I told the person I spoke to that I should not have to pay for the nail due to poor construction on their behalf. For some reason, she couldn't find me in the system BUT when I was just there a few days ago, the woman was able to find me in the system. While the lady was fixing my nail, she was asking me if I got my nails done there, asking me who did them, where they sit etc. The lady who fixed my nail was extremely rude and sloppy. My nail did not look like the other one. After she fixed it, I walked up to the counter and was told I would have to pay FIVE dollars for the service because they still couldn't find me in the system. I politely told the woman that I was not paying FIVE dollars for something that was caused by their poor work and on top of that it's fixed poorly and sloppily. She double checked to make sure she was typing my name right and she still couldn't find me. I began to get frustrated because I paid 40 dollars for a set of nails and now I have to pay an additional FIVE to fix ONE nail. I guess she saw I was getting frustrated because she said that it was on her and to have a nice day. I'm assuming she didn't want the issue to escalate. Overall, I was offended that they would think I walked into a random nail salon to fix a nail that I got done elsewhere. If that were the case, I would've stated that and been more than happy to pay for the service but that was NOT the case. I'm not sure if I will be going back or not. read more

Went in for a full set, noticed later on that night that the acrylic was not fully cured which was odd, they started literally peeling off when I washed my hair that night. I called the next day, they told me to come in and "talk to the owner" so I did that. She first blamed me for choosing the wrong nail polish, and said it takes a long time to dry, which at this point was well over 24hrs. I showed her what my complaint was, I can actually bend them and peel them off, and she said to stop picking at them, and they would fix it. She called another tech over and said to reshape them, which I then said would not fix the problem if the acrylic is still wet. She told me to come back the next day so the guy who did it can do the soak off and do a new set. I made an appointment for 10 am the next day (today) I showed up, and the same guy who made my appointment yesterday told me they would not be doing my nails because its my fault for "picking" at them. He's only authorized to give me a gift card for the money I paid, but they won't do my nails. So how in the world can I use a gift card, for my nails, at my appointment, that the owner authorized to make, if shes now changed her mind and won't do my nails? I refused the gift card and was told I can come in later to basically argue with the owner about it. I was very apprehensive even saying anything because when I was there 2 days prior the same owner was screaming at another unhappy client on the phone about her services, then proceeded to bad mouth that client in the middle of the salon floor, after she hung up on her. This is the most unprofessional salon I have ever been in. I am a licensed and practicing stylist, I've lived in salons for the past 10 years of my career, I am mortified that this place is run this way. read more
