Apparently the only way to get this places attention is to leave a bad review. I have been coming here for 5 years religiously to get my nails done and at my last appointment I have never been treated so poorly by a business. I am very saddened that I am going to have to quit coming here because I was always very pleased with my nails but I refuse to give my money to a business who does not appreciate their customers. At my last appointment they double booked and my appointment was skipped over I had to wait 45 minutes for the other person in front of me to be finished. I nicely asked the young blonde girl at the desk if I needed to come back and she was SO SO RUDE!! When I went to pay she wouldnt speak a word to me, wouldn't tell me the total or anything. On my way out I told her thank you have a nice day twice and she still couldn't respond. I also sent this place an email and no response of course. After reading other reviews not shocked they ignored me also. This is a terrible way to treat your loyal customers. I will take my business somewhere else who appreciates my money. All of my family members are also not coming here anymore after I told them how I was treated. here is their response to me on Google. I asked them if they could please paint my WHOLE nail because they were missing the sides and not going any where near the top edge of my nail after to insisting to push back my cuticle. She gave me push back and made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. But I tipped them appropriately even though I was 100% dissatisfied. To put the cherry on top it looks like this after THREE DAYS. I'm sorry, I paid almost $100 for my nails and toes. A modern nail shop in Brannon Crossing. They are appointment only so I recommend calling ahead. They handle Covid protocols very well and are thorough in explaining their new expectations. The shop was clean, minimalistic. The customer service was good throughout and everything ran smoothly. My nail technician did a great job and did exactly what I wanted. They do charge a fee for removing polish. In my opinion, it is slightly expensive compared to other nail places in the area. However, you can tell this shop holds themselves to a higher standard in everything they do. They really have a good system going. I think the experience and quality were worth the price. I get recommended this place every day so I finally went and I'm so glad!!! Booking a reservation was only slightly challenging and well worth it, and the girl who worked up front was very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend checking out their Instagram for a same day booking! I saw Tee for a dip ombré nail and she knocked it out of the park. She's such a perfectionist, she made sure all my nails were colored and shaped perfectly, and even double and triple checked them all, going back to fix any details. After seeing multiple friends post about The Nail Shop in Brannon Crossing, I decided to schedule a mani/pedi for a few days before my wedding! I really like that their shop seems very open and clean. Once I signed in, the lady at the desk showed me where to pick out nail colors and then was brought to my pedicure chair, as I'd made an appointment for my mom and I. The nail techs were friendly and did a stellar job- my regular pedi has lasted over a month with no chips! My gel mani was flawless as well and I appreciate the care that they put into making it perfect as it was for a big occasion! My mani lasted ~2 weeks until I started peeling them off (I know thats a big no-no). Their prices are pretty consistent with comparable salons as well. I liked how you could "add on" services to any standard pedi. I would definitely recommend The Nail Shop to anyone needing some TLC! read more

I searched and searched all over Lexington for a nail shop that was friendly, fast, clean, affordable & had a wide selection of colors! BUT the nail shop surpasses all that. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel safe during these unprecedented times, the staff is always friendly and willing to help you pick out colors or make your Pinterest nail dreams come true, making an appointment is very easy, the SNS dip that I always gets stays on for 3 weeks and the color selection is amazing, prices are pretty normal for Lexington area ($37 for sns & $32 for shop pedi) and you can be in and out in under an hour! One thing I loved about the nail shop that I noticed when I started going last February was the nail shape posters they have on the wall, now you might think that is strange, but I never really knew what shape I wanted when I was asked and I would panic! This gives me a visual that is so helpful to be able to look at to say I was a "round square". Also, I highly recommend their pedicures! This past week I visited The Nail Shop for the first time. I needed a last minute appointment before my wedding, as my usual nail tech had an emergency and couldn't do my nails. Their Instagram page's story had a list of all the appointments left for the day I needed my nails done (they update these every day so you'll always know what's available).contacted them and got a super quick reply, which booked my appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted kindly by the front desk staff. I picked out my colors and then Kevin got to work on me! He was very helpful with color placement and nail shape, and worked so quickly and efficiently. This was my first time getting dip nails, and it was a great experience. My nails looked amazing on my wedding day and I literally can't stop looking at them. I highly recommend The Nail Shop, and when I'm in Lexington I will be visiting them again!!! read more

I would have given this place a 5 star rating except for the woman who took care of me. Her name is Candy. My daughter and I decided to get services to celebrate her new job, so i was in a great mood. Ive gone to many nail shops in and out of state and not experienced the rudeness i encountered with this woman. I understand there can be a language barrier but i think most people know how to respond when someone says "thank you". But to have someone not even utter a word to you, and to drop you at a another table for 20 mins with no instruction and not check on your nails for 20 mins only to have another employee finally check on you, is ridiculous. And, after Candy saw that the other employee took care of me, she brought my ticket, just handed it to me, and turned her head. She didnt respond to my "thank you" or even say "come again". The salon is extremely clean, and all the other techs were smiling and interacting very graciously with there clients. So as i said I would have given a 5 if it wasnt for one rude person. Horrible experience. Unsanitary conditions. Cut my cuticles and fingers multiple times. Asked them not to file my nails, they did and they were so short that it was painful. My fingers swelled and hurt. The thickest dip nails I have ever seen. Zero name brands, all weird colors from god knows where. It felt like it was 100° inside. Horrible customer service and to top it off, my cousin had a horrible experience at the met location as well. Also prices are higher than online. Kim & her team are a fun, highly skilled group that brings a breath of fresh air to the nail industry. From the great music to the awesome conversations (with Kim & other customers), it was a wonderful experience. I had really high hopes for this place because of the reviews and some of the pictures I saw online. I decided to come here and bring my mother and sister for a very rare but much-needed girls night out. We were rushed in and somehow my mother who only wanted dip powder was talked into getting tips and then dip on her nails. I asked for the hombre dip powder but I wanted a rounded shape. I was told that a rounded shape wouldn't work so I HAD to go with the soft square shape. My cuticles were not trimmed and my nails are all different thicknesses. My thumb nail has a white streak from being hit with the buffer and I actually had to ask the nail tech to file two of my nails more because they were diagonal! I ended up with square nails that look like a full set of false nails. For the pedicure, I paid extra for the coconut oil massage thinking it would be a really nice massage but alas my 3 1/2 year-old would have done better. My mothers water was left running on hot and because she has little feeling in her feet she didn't notice the rising temperature or water which began overflowing onto the floor. When my sisters toes were about to be painted they tried putting the disposable foam sandals on her and she mentioned to them that they wouldn't stay on her feet because she is missing a toe. The nail tech told her she had no choice and had to wear them because she did not wear the right shoes to the salon. She was actually laughing! Did I mention that my sister lost her toe when she was going through chemo and radiation for liver cancer?! She can't wear sandals and typically when she gets a pedicure the techs allow her to dry in the pedicure chair because it is hard for her to walk without shuffling her feet. Then when our services were over and we were drying at the station we were essentially forgotten about. Everyone was rushing around to clean up because it was time to close. We finally asked if we were good to go and my sisters nail tech felt the need to point out yet again that she was going to ruin her nails and that she shouldn't have worn close toed shoes. Again she's missing a toe so she actually cannot wear sandals. I should probably also mention that she has multiple sclerosis on top of cancer so she doesn't walk well and due to her meds generally spends her days sleeping off and on. I asked them if they could just put cuticle oil in a baggie and put that on her feet so she could wear her shoes out without ruining her polish. This is pretty standard at all the salons in Chicago so I was surprised when the tech looked at me like I was stupid and said "No we don't do that." She was told she had to leave the salon in the sandals. This is the first night in weeks she's felt up to going out. Having been treated that way only makes her want to come out less. When we finally were able to pay the bill was more than $300. As I have more than adequately stated, we were completely unhappy with the service we received. We were up sold on everything and ended up with nothing the way we wanted. We left a tip that we thought was good given our experience but apparently it was unappreciated and as we were leaving all of our techs were discussing this. This was just the icing on top of an already bad experience. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Let me start off by saying this isn't your typical nail salon. You can tell the minute you walk in that so much love and work has gone in to making the customer's experience the best in Kentucky. What makes this place different? First, the people. Kim (the owner) has gone above and beyond to create a space that is trendy and relaxing. Polishes are easy to pick from (super easy swatches clearly labeled to identify dip polish, gel, etc). What's more, the menu is completely unlike anywhere I've seen. Honestly one of the worst nail experiences I have had ever had and I would give it a zero if I could. I went in to get a simple dip with tip. I asked the tech for long almond shape nails. She made the nails much shorter than I asked and the nails are far from the shape I wanted. I fully excepted the tech to know the different nail shapes especially since the shop literally has them on their walls. When I went in the next day to see if I could get them redone or get them reimbursed they could only offer me 25% off a new set. The tech was extremely rude and was not apologetic for her mistake. I really wanted to like this shop. It's bright and organized, and I loved all the color options for SNS as well as how easy it was to look through them all on the display. I went with a friend and we had appointments. They got us in right away and seated us next to each other, which doesn't always happen at nail salons. Unfortunately, we were both very unhappy with our results. I can't really describe what shape some of my nails were, and one week later two have fallen off completely and two others are chipped.
