I usually don't write reviews however I felt it was important to give a review of this black owned business. During the pandemic I had a lot of time to surf Instagram which is how The Kreative Kay's nail studio happened to pop up on my feed. I scrolled through a few of her photos and was instantly like I have to book her. The booking process was pretty easy. For example, it's separated for new clients like myself and pre-existing clients. There of course were some FYI's such as late policies , COVID safety policies/procedures information regarding additional guest etc. I made my deposit surprisingly only $25 and counted down the days to my nail appointment. On first entry into the nail shop I was taken away by the marble floors ,very clean , bright and airy. I was offered a beverage once I came in and then we went right to work. Now because I was getting a full set I believe it's slotted for about an hour and a half when I tell you from the time I sat in the chair to the time I finished it was an hour and a half to a T I was impressed with the capital IMPRESSED. There was light music playing in the background like Sade also heard a little Michael Jackson with some newer hits like Giveon. Overall was super satisfied with my nails so much so that I recommended Kay to some of my friends who have booked with her as of recently. I would never usually say this but thank goodness for Instagram because if it weren't for the random pop up , I honestly would've missed out on a Gem. I have been to other black nail techs but the real difference is the professionalism and quality of products used. DID I MENTION THAT SHE KEPT TO SCHEDULE TO A T ?!! Honey No more spending hours at the salon for my nails , I can actually make plans for my day !! I am in love with MsKreativeKay and her beautiful nail lounge. She provides a nail experience like no other. First, her nail lounge is beautiful and VERY clean. When I arrived for my appointment, I had to text her as she still had someone in the chair. As soon as the person was finished (10 mins later) she texted me to tell me to come in and sit in the waiting area. Before it was my turn to get in the chair, I watched her disinfect everything. The service she provided on my nails was amazing. She gave me a nail consultation and advised what the best options for me were based off of the service I selected. I will say that you MUST READ her policy. She is very specific however if you don't understand please ask, she had no problem explaining her prices to me. I love quality work and feeling like my dollar is valued which is what she provided. I did ask for extra art work for my nails which was an up charge but I didn't mind paying. I was referred to Katie by my sister who had been going to her for years. She never had a fungus on her nails or nails that broke, or the little bubbles in the acrylic that you seem to get from other shops (I will just leave that comment open). He pedicure station is still being worked on but I am so looking forward to having a full day of pampering at MsKreativeKay Nail Lounge. Job well done. read more

I've been going to Katie for almost 2 yrs now and her work is amazing. I actually found her on Instagram and then a cousin of mine told me they go to her as well and that if I wanted to book with her I need book early because she books up quick. And that was not a lie. She is serious about her craft and business, and has the protocols to show to it. The nail menu is easy to comprehend, and her business rules are straightforward. The atmosphere and vibe is relaxing, and professional. Katie also educates you on proper nail care. I didn't get that at my previous nail salon. I love that she takes her time when providing a nail service. Her high grade products last long, I get my nails done once a month. There is no lifting or cracks in my nails. I let her be creative with my designs and they always come out fly! I get compliments all the time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MsKreativeKayNails aka Katie it's always a first class experience from start to finish. She is prompt mad professional ALWAYS. What intrigued me the most about her was that before she ever started my services she would always ask me what's my budget or explained to me if I wanted a specific style/design the cost and add-on cost if there was any and my nails were always A1, no other nail tech I've ever been to has me looking at my nails all day in awe. My overall experience with the Nails specialist at this Nails studio has always been world class quality service. She gives you a consultation beginning middle and end point of your appointment. She is very direct and honest in her approach and actively tells her customers to please actively read her policy and procedures. I've even started bringing my mother with me so that she can get that exclusive VIP feel that only this nail studio has provided me with.Yes she is a little pricey but worth every single penny and every time I have my appointment I leave absolutely 100% satisfied. From my first experience at MsKreativeKay's studio I have nothing but great things. From the music selection, to the conversations, and having an experience to where I don't feel rushed like at any regular salon. Her work speaks for itself. I haven't had any mishaps to where I lost a nail even pushing the 4 week fill-in. She takes her time and explains to you how you should go about taking care of your nails for future reference. I keep going back to her even after her move to Nassau County which is a 30 minute drive because she is truly the BEST at what she does from start to finish.
