BEWARE: In February of 2025, we purchased a gift card for a family member. The gift card recipient visited the salon on May 1st, 2025. I was embarrassed and disheartened to learn that the nail salon receptionist insisted that the recipient of the gift card pay an additional $10: even though the gift card was clearly labeled for a regular "manicure and pedicure." The customer received a regular manicure and pedicure (with no extras or premium treatment(s), such as "special colors,") so there was no reason to have insisted that the customer pay additional money beyond the value of the original (unexpired) gift certificate. Note: The gift certificate was purchased in February of 2025 and the service took place on May 1, 2025. When the customer asked for an explanation for the extra cost, no explanation was provided. ***I am not surprised to learn that this is the SECOND review noting this poor business practice.*** Even if the prices of the services had/have increased since February of 2025, then the individual working there should have respectfully explained that change. However, the salon did not have the prices of their services posted at the time when the customer arrived on May 1st, 2025. I had a friend visit the salon on May 2nd to confirm that no prices had been posted (as the gift card recipient reported this detail to me). Despite evertheless, it is best practice Also, please note that a generous tip was provided to the nail technician(s): IN ADDITION to the extra $10 that was (erroneously) charged to the customer. I respectfully reported this situation to the salon, by phone, on the next day, but was unable to speak with the owner as the individual who answered the phone claimed that the owner was out-of-town. I left my phone number with the female who had answered the phone and asked for the owner (*****) to please return my call. I asked the lady on the phone if the owner's name was still ***** (as I had lived locally and visited this salon, in my 20s, and recalled her name); the female confirmed the owner's name. The female on the phone explained "maybe she got special color," but I insisted that the customer was not advised of any extra charges and the concept of "special color" was not even mentioned during her visit to the salon. All in all, after this phone call, I suggested that the gift card recipient visit the salon on the next day. The customer explained the situation and was handed back a $10 bill to account for the overcharge amount. I do have concerns that this is a business practice that happens when the owner is out-of-town. Additionally, a friend of mine visited the salon in the days after this incident and reported that the salon did not have signs indicating the prices of the services, which, according to a representative at the Consumer Affairs Department, is allegedly not legal. I always had a pleasant experience visiting this salon in the past, so I was surprised to have learned of this unpleasant experience. The purpose of gifting a gift card to a friend is to allow him/her to have a pleasant, worry-free experience! We've been going there for years , they gave my friend a spa pedicure gift card for Xmas , yesterday my friend went and used the gift card, but she ended up paying more than she usually paid without GC, she questioned the owner about it . Quality has gone down again sadly. Manicures and pedicures are ok but still at premium prices. The reason you get your nails done is to be pampered and relaxed. I got a cold wet towel, zero massage, barely removed the dead skin and rushed out of the chair. (And no one was there waiting or anything like that) My toes look fine, but there are much cheaper places to just get a change of polish. They stopped giving shoulder rubs while you dry and as I mentioned gave up on massaging your hands/feet at all. (Unless you pay extra of course) The person who did mine kind of rubbed up and down my foot softly then put the damp towel on it. There's a cheaper place a few blocks away that puts paraffin wax on your heels and I couldn't even get a decent foot massage and the dead skin scraped off here for nearly double the price? Terrible service. Manicurist did not even cut cuticles she was too rushed wanted to finish so she could make time for her spa pedicure appointment Helen is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. She Will only speak to select customers. What used to be an excellent nail salon is now a below average run-of-the-mill trying to grab as much business as they can without any customer service They increase their prices yet cut back on services Pushing back and cutting cuticles for a manicure and pedicure are normally part of basic services For the nail technician to lie about cutting the cuticle is absolutely ridiculous The customer is sitting right there watching the person do the pedicure of course you're going to notice There are much better salons to go to in Garden City Garden City South West Hempstead and Garden City Park all in the local area. read more

It's a beautiful, spacious salon. Very clean and all personnel wear masks. My gel manicure is gorgeous and still looks good 3 weeks later. The staff are bright and friendly and we had a great, fun conversation. Now that's a plus! read more

Love this place. When I'm on Long Island to visit family, I always come here for a mani/pedi. The nail techs are incredibly nice and do a fabulous job. I'm not sure why anyone would think the place is pricey -- seemed completely reasonable to me -- $9 manicure, $15 pedicure. read more

I have been going here for over 15 years and it is hands down (pun intended) my favorite place.

Just got home from a $30 REGULAR manicure/pedicure. First, I have to say that the place is super clean and the ladies are very very nice. However, my girl didn't understand any english at all and I had to get a third party in to ask for glitter...which they said they didn't have. (While drying, I was seated next to an entire glitter section of polishes that I never knew existed.) The previous reviewers are spot on about the massage. I was barely touched. I agree that for the price, they should be giving me a full on shoulder, foot, and hand rub...but whatever. My nails did come out nice, but I really don't think I'll be going back. read more

I went in today to get my nails done and the lady who works there was sweet as pie, I was looking for somewhere with matte nail polish but seeing her nails made me want to get acrylic with gel, I'm obsessed with my nails. The girl who did them did a great job and didn't get annoyed with me when I told her to make them shorter and shorter... The nail salon was clean and comfortable... Just got a mani pedi from the new 30th avenue location and I have to say I'm very unimpressed. A young girl who speaks hardly any English did both. The experience was rushed and half hearted and although the result was ok I hardly had the time to get home before both hand and feet nails were chipped! Pity as the decor is nice read more
