I was referred to this salon by a friend. And I'm so happy with my first experience! Son/Sean gave me a full set of pink and white acrylics. Talk about a perfect full set!! Without asking, he custom mixed the pink powder so it complemented my skin tone. He asked if I was happy with the work every step of the way and when I asked for something to be changed or straightened he was very happy to accommodate. (Not one weird look for foreign language spoken to someone else after my request, which we all know happens at most salons when you critique or change anything.). He sincerely wanted me to be happy with his work. And I must say I walked out of the salon with the best full set I may have ever gotten in the last 25 years. Seriously!! The prices are very reasonable. $35 for a full set of pink and white with gel. And $17 for a spa pedicure. Helen and Lily are very good at pedicures. read more

I have been a customer to this nail salon for over two years but last Saturday I reached my breaking point and will never be returning. Typically I opt for gel manicures but this time I decided to do the SNS nails. Hanna did my nails this past weekend and she destroyed my cuticles on my thumb, she attempted to use the drilling tool on my cuticles and it burned me down to my skin causing me to bleed, she begins laughing and asking why I'm bleeding. Are you kidding me? In all the years I have been getting my nails done I have never had someone use that tool to remove your cuticles, and there obviously a reason you should not be using it. Also, if they get comfortable and begin to know your face they will ask you to walk over to the bank and pay them in cash. I am extremely unhappy and will be looking for a new salon. read more

Well first of all, Brittany, YOU wrote about the wrong nail salon. TINA worked at the salon farther down in the same shopping center. I think the negative review must be confusing salons. I have gone to many salons in Simi Valley and this one is the best by far. I have never experienced any of the negative things people have written about. I've been going here about 2 years now AFTER being dissatisfied with TINA's shop. NOT THE SAME SHOP PEOPLE! I always get complimented on my nails. I get them done every two weeks as well as a pedicure each time. They are fast and efficient. The work is quality! Kudo's to Kay and Helen for keeping me nails looking gorgeous. I also get my eyebrows waxed there. Also and excellent job. If you are looking for a 1st class salon with friendly, quality service, go to the Nail Center next door to GoYogurt. I'm really surprised by all the positive results, I went once and will never go back again. My full set was pulling up after less than a week, there was pretty much no drilling to keep a rough service for the acrylic to stick to. My pedicure was awful all she did was rub my feet for maybe 2 minutes then painted my toe nails. They did give me a free gel top coat since I was a first time customer, but I won't be going back, way too many salons out to pay for horrible work. read more

I'm actually still here but I'm annoyed and want to do this quickly, I came in for a pedicure and manicure, I felt like because they were busy they couldn't wait to get rid of me just quickly going though the motions and not deeply cleaning or paying attention, my "foot massage" lasted 20 seconds on each leg and she (women with name tag NU) actually only massaged ONE of my feet for like 15 seconds and didn't even touch the second one. I tried this place for the first time. I really like bio gel and not many places in Simi do it. I have a place near work but that is a 30 min drive i don't want to make on my day off. Anyways, I did the deluxe pedi with extra massage and all the works and that was fantastic the lady was gentle and clean. However the lady doing my nails was coughing and had a runny nose and wasn't wearing a mask. I asked if she was sick and she said she felt better after a few mins she went to put on a mask but did not wash her hands. I was pretty disappointed she didn't take measures to be more clean and not spread her germs. Surprise surprise today I woke up with a scratchy throat :( for my nails they came out uneven and I little on the thick side. Not worth the sore throat. The first time I went, I was was helped by a nail tech who was did a good job with my nails, but was rude. She did not have a friendly demeanor and felt like she was rushing to finish. Granted, the nails did turn out looking good. I returned a second time and they had me and my daughter get help by a male nail tech who did such a poor job. A few months after my last visit, I ended up at the Nail Center again because I had a party to attend the next day and I procrastinated researching for another nail place. This time I got 2 different technicians, one that started my pedicure, and another that jumped on doing my manicure midway through. (I'm uncomfortable in situations like that... Am I suppose to fork out more tip money to cover both, or force them to share the tip meant for 1 technician?) Anyway, the same bubble effect happened on my nails. At this point, I was convinced that my polish (I brought my own on those 2 occasions) was the culprit. But a couple months later, I went to a totally different nail salon with the same exact bottle of polish, and did not get the bubble effect. Therefore, it's something that the Nail Center technicians (at least the 3 people I encountered) are doing that causes it. Interestingly, someone from the Nail Center sent me an email through Yelp apologizing for my unsatisfaction, and asking me to come back and try the salon again. I guess kudos to him/her for reaching out. I *might* try them again (if I've procrastinated and need a quick mani-pedi), and if the bubbles appear for a third time, then that's truly "the end" for me. Very friendly staff. I used to work in Burbank and had been getting my nails done for 6 years by the same person who still never learned my name correctly. After switching jobs I needed to find a place close to home. This place had good reviews so I gave it a try. After about 2 or 3 visits the main woman, Lynn, knew my name! They were friendly and I quickly found Winston, who gives amazing massages and great pedicures. Tracy is great at nails and pedicures. I don't have enough nice things to say about this place! Tracy did the most incredible gel nail design I have ever had, along with a seriously amazing manicure. I'm a hairdresser who always has stained built up nails and she took her time cleaning and filing which most places have skimped on in the past when doing gels. I got my pedicure by Hana who actually listened when I told her that I'm a runner and get ingrowns fairly easily. She did an amazing job fixing the ones I had and showing me how she was preventing them in the future. So happy I found this place!!! I will definitely be back! read more

Booked out the salon for like 12 manicures and 11 pedicures first thing in the am the day before my wedding. Everyone was great. We had gel, dip and regular manicures and spa pedicures. Everyone was happy with how their nails looked and impressed by the longevity of their mani/pedi. 3 weeks later and only 1 dip mani nail was coming off and that was after a week of swimming and snorkeling. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating. They even brought me tissues when the wedding emotions got the best of me. Tam is the best manicurist I have found in Simi Valley. She did and excellent job on my acrylic gel nails. I am very picky and never satisfied when I get acrylics, so much that I usually have them removed a week after getting them put on. She did a beautiful job fixing my jacked up acrylics I had put on by another manicurist and made them the shape I so desired and also thinned them out. I feel like I don't even have fake nails.
