I live in Simi and have been coming here for about 9 months now and I have to say, my nails last for waaayyy longer than ANY other nail salon I've ever been to. I do a powder dip overlay and I kid you not, the ones I have right now have lasted close to 6 weeks. Lol they look extremely overgrown which is why I'm going in to have them done today, but STILL none of them have cracked or chipped, it's unbelievable. The staff was friendly. But The lady cut my cuticles too deep to the point it started bleeding. Even thought she apologized she continued being ruff on my nails and causing more bleeding. And another nail tech did something wrong to my moms nails that the gel start to bubbling under the light. It also seemed like they were rushing with us. Especially when a few regulars came in. My daughter and I went here to get manicures. We got two techs, one was professional and one was not. The quality of the polish is not the best but doable for a few days, the quality of design was NOT very good with my daughters tech. She asked for a cross (two simple lines) and it was a huge plus sign on her nails. I didn't get to see my daughters nails till she was done and when i saw them I asked her to redo them and she was telling me that it was hard work to redo them, so I just asked "if she was going to do them or not?" she acted annoyed, left, and brought me my tab for my daughter, so i asked my tech to redo my daughters nails, she had a conversation with the other tech in another language and then the old tech came back to redo them, not a good job again, there were NO solid lines. It looked like crappy nail polish, that was dried out and it cost 30$. I wish I could remember their names. But both my daughter and I got gel polish and total was 70$ before tip. read more

I was looking for a new nail place and saw that this one had great reviews so I thought I'd try it a10days ago. Big mistake, I was pushed biogel when I just wanted gel they said it would make it last longer but I already have a few chips and lifting on several nails and they look weeks old. Now to the pedicure, didn't cut one of my big toes, tore the other one but didn't tell me and left a huge hangnail in the other. Both big toes are messed up and I am not even sure how to fix the one torn down the side. -10/10 would never recommend. read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails, I stopped getting them done cause I never found someone I liked. I havent gotten my nails done in over a year but I decided I wanted to get my nails done again for a wedding and came to The Nail Center and I am so happy I did. I haven't loved my nails in a long time and after Julie did my GelX I finally found someone I like again and will start getting my nails done on a regular basis. I have been coming here for years! They are definitely the best in Simi Valley, if not all of the valley in my opinion! Everyone is good, but I love Lily for my gel mani and Pauline for my gel pedi. I spoil myself and have lily do shoulder massage and Pauline do 30 minutes on my feet and legs! They really do listen to what you want and take good care of you! I really wanted to like this place but I didn't. I do have to give them credit that they are nicer than usual people but the job was really bad. I wanted a design for two of my fingers and I had seen it on their yelp so I knew they could do it but the girl did it twice and still didn't do it right and I had to tell her to tell it off and just leave it white. Obviously she was upset but it wasn't my fault because I wanted a marble design and she did zebra lines. Completely opposite. Not to mention there is such a gap between my nail bed and color it looks terrible. Even with lotion, it looks like my nails are dry! I had to ask him to do it over and go deeper in. Then when he did, the color dripped on the sides and it was just such a bad experience. Now they are clumpy and not even. Lastly I called and asked how much it was for coffin acrylics with gel and she said $40 and then when I went to pay he's like it's $45 because he was mad. I think it's terrible to do business like that. Now I have to go get them done AGAIN because the paint job is so terrible. If you like a clean job, go somewhere else. They do an okay shape but don't know how to paint properly and are in rush! It looks terrible. read more

I went yesterday to The Nail Center based on other Yelp reviews, and boy was it a mistake and I'm not sure how they receive such high ratings. I walked in and they assigned me a chair and it and everything around me was covered in nail dust. The foot rest was stained and there were nail refills littered on the floor around me. I should have walked right out but I foolishly decided to stay. I was out the door within 15 minutes of the girl starting to work on my feet. I'm not 100% confident they used sanitized tools and for $25 I would expect more than a few minute foot massage and no hot towel to follow. What do other Yelpers see in this place?!?! read more

I got great service from Tam and Helen. They were lovely and actually did my nails exactly how I asked for them. They were fast, provided good attention to detail and were very kind. Honestly I came here because of the great reviews but my experience was awful. I got Van, who must have been new or something because she didn't even remove all of my previous gel nail polish (I had to point out all the left over gel). She also got my skin three times when trying to remove the gel which made me bleed one of the times. Then she had to have someone else come and show her how to remove my cuticles (turns out she was using the wrong instrument).Then she put WAY too many layers making it look way too freaking thick. Not to mention she literally went outside of the lines and got it on my cuticles - to the point where the second my nails grow, they will get stuck in my hair. And then to top it off she barely even did any sort of hand massage afterwards. I honestly rarely write any reviews but I was SO upset by this experience and don't want anyone else to have to experience this. Maybe the other workers are okay but Van was definitely not. read more

I called to make an appointment based on the Yelp reviews as I just moved here from Palm Desert. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and I got in the same day. WHen I walked in I picked my color and told the gal who sits in the front (and answers the phone) that I wanted to speak w her before my nails were done, she said no problem they will do the pedicure first. My nail tech was Jenny and she was wonderful. After my pedicure I changed seats and the manager come over and asked how she could help, I explained that I wanted to take off my acrylics because I need to give my nails a break but didn't want nothing on them as they hurt. She recommended a new Gel that is actually good for your nails as opposed to damaging. My nails look and feel amazing!! Everyone was very nice, communicates well, clean and on time. The Nail Center is amazing. I am so thrilled that I found it. It's basically a one-stop shop for so many services. I was tired of acrylics, so I tried the Gel X extensions, which is why I came in the first place and loved them. Lien is creative and artistic and makes my nails look exactly like the pictures that I bring in. I've never been disappointed, and they last for 3 weeks or longer. Today, I was going to get my face waxed, and she asked if I'd like to try having her use a fine razor instead. Loved it! No pain like the waxing, all the peach fuzz gone, and all for the same price. She also beautifully tinted my eyebrows! I plucked out most of my eyebrows many years ago in high school, and they never grew back. The color of my brows have faded thru the years but since I wear bangs, it didn't really bother me. At her suggestion, I let her tint my brows, and I'm so impressed. They look very natural.
