I've been coming here for a year or two. At first it good, the services were amazing, it was most than what we expected and they charged us EXACTLY as what was listed in their menu. Now, I feel like they've gotten. but out of hand. Three days ago I went in to get a gel manicure done and I called prior and they told me $35. I went in, got seated, and a lady started doing my nails. She did a really good job but when I went to the counter, I was charged $45. I told her that when I called before I was told $35 and she hesitated and then told me that "oh your nails are long, we charge extra for that" They are my natural nails, no extensions, NATURAL. Didn't even tell me before starting on my nails that it would be $10 MORE!! I was really tired after long so I let it go. Yesterday I went back in with my mother and grandmothers to get pedicures done, and this time, when the lady starts working on me, she tells me that "oh it's going to be $5 because you had gel nail polish on before and I had to remove it". WHAT?! Never have I ever heard of this, at ANY of the salons I have been. The way they charge for their services is very weird. read more

I went to get gel X at this salon. Apparently, no one in the salon is really skilled at applying this and instead of telling me so they did them anyway very poorly. Within 24 hours three of the nails had popped off. This included me going back after the first nail popped off for them to redo it, and then only to lose that nail +2 more later in the same night. Ended up having to go to a new salon and pay all over again to have it done properly. Will not be returning here. read more

I've been here twice so let's remember this. I went here cause it's close to my wax and I figure save some time. However this is the type of place you go when you want a lot done. Not anything regular or to enjoy yourself. I got SNS and regular pedicure. Nails had me concerned her and there but very well mainly. The pedi kept asking if I wanted gel even when I said no 3 times. After that I had to get my mom voice on and shut it down. I suppose she didn't like that the pedi was half done. Then I know they have rewards for returning so when I sit to fry she pushes (as if didn't have it) for the payment. I pay and tip generously. Then remembered about the awards. Now I can't add it cause I "have to say so before I pay". Okay. She says "next time" I doubt I'll be back though. No not recommended. read more

I've been going to The Nails Lounge since the day it opened, and to Nina and Vy since they were at a different salon long prior to that. I've been with them for almost 15 years. I would never go anywhere else. Over the years, almost every artist in that salon has done my manicures and pedicures at least a few times when Nina and Vy have been on vacation or a day off. They are all of the highest quality. Nina would never have it any other way. She ensures the work is perfect herself. And I have seen people come in every once in a while with a nail that needs to be fixed, and they will fix it immediately, at no charge, and quickly. Nina and Vy are fast and friendly, they always remember exactly what I want without my asking (as do the other artists when they aren't there), and have since my first appointment. They always get me in whenever I need to go, and the quality of work is beyond compare. I get SNS nails (dipping dust) done on my hands and gel on my toes, and ever since I started, I've never had a single chipped nail, nor one peeled toenail. Vy helped me recover when I had a terrible accident with a big toe and lost a toenail, she nursed it back to health. Nina has been waxing my legs for years as well, and she is fast and does it as near painless as waxing can ever be, lol. Kidding, but truly, it doesn't hurt the way she does it. And they are ALL kind. Nina and Vy are good people. They have treated me like family, and my family like family. They always remember to ask about my special needs son, whose pedicure they have done from time to time, and he, who has sensory struggles, is ONLY comfortable with them. If nothing else in this review speaks to you, dear reader, please let that speak volumes. The shop may be more humble than other places (I don't really care, I care about the people and the work); they may be a little busier sometimes or loud (which can be a struggle for me, tbh, as I have sensory issues myself); the cost may be considered high for some, considered low for others, it depends on your own tastes (I personally think it's great for such a good quality)......... But when they treat my special needs child so well that he is only comfortable with them, and they always ask about him... I'm their client for life. read more

Not only was I rushed to pay while my acrylic was still wet, I got my eyebrows done and there was so much hair still left, like I had to point out pieces for her to get when they were clearly visible. We were doing so good. That is until she started filing. The tech was so heavy handed I had to tell her not so far/deep. I have file cuts on my cuticles. I felt it when she sprayed alcohol. I was so wanting to like this shop. It's really pretty and the techs were nice. The prices are reasonable and comparable to any other. I'm a believer in pay for what you want so I didn't skimp. I got SNS nails with one tip cuz I had broken one, 3 colors for which they charged $5 extra and the #4 $38 pedi with the paraffin wax and hot stone massage. Overall I'm happy I tried them but I'm not a fan of the cut cuticles. I don't usually go against YELP rating but their reviews on google are better. It's a nice place . The Decor is something right out of a magazine! It's very lovely and very relaxing. The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I went early but it became busy pretty quickly. They have it where you can sign up when you come in and the service you want, so you won't have to worry about where you stand in line. You can also make appts. They have all types of service too. I will definitely go back. My technician was named Twetty! She had great conversation. read more

I came here before and the man did my nails pretty well. I came back for a fill and another lady did them and I had a extremely terrible experience just with the job she did. She rushed through caking the acrylic over my nails and making them all big and thick and bulking (when I asked for natural looking). And then after caking all that acrylic in my nails had the nerve to only go over them ONCE with the power drill. I had to ask her to shape them more and she still didn't do a good job. Also I had to ask her three times to cut them down after she was trynna charge me $5 extra to change the shape from square to coffin. They didn't clip my cuticles (which should be free at any nail salon) Furthermore, many of these nails are not straight. I like this nail shop but just really disappointed with how this set came out because I'm very particular about my nails and I've had great work done enough to know how they supposed to come out. read more

The woman who did my pedi repeatedly tried to get me to pay an extra $15 to get gel after i had already told her it was too much. She barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet and "massaged" my legs for literally 30 seconds. Then harassed me about paying after 2 minutes of drying the regular polish on my toes. More than half of their staff are UNLICENSED. The state board came in for a surprise inspection while I was being serviced and both technicians working on my nails and feet stopped mid service and ran out the back door, along with multiple other employees. The manager called them all back when the inspector left. So unprofessional. They didn't even apologize or offer a discount for the hour of delayed service. This is what I get for not going to my usual salon, but I needed a quick removal of SNS and regular manicure with clear polish. I noticed a few hours after going here that the lady cut my cuticle and my hands being extremely dry. All around my cuticles are peeling and dry. I continue to put lotion on maybe 7-8 times a day. Today, I went to the spa to tell the issue, and the lady kept repeating just clear polish. I just wanted to know what happened to my cuticles along with a solution. I noticed that she was not getting my frustration, so I just walked away. I do not want to be the loud customer, but this was a WASTE. Do not go here. The ladies here do a really good job but I personally go to Ms. Lee. I'm a nail tech but some days I just want to treat myself so I go here to get a pedicure once in awhile. They use disposable liners and their tools are all sanitized which is always great. The salon is nicely decorated and very clean. They take a little longer but to me that just means they care about what they're doing. read more

I came here on a random Thursday evening and I am more than happy with my service... The inside of the salon is really clean, spacious and definitely air-conditioned so I felt great the whole time. I was just getting a regular Mani pedi and they put up with all of my crazy request... Such as change the length of my nails to be a little shorter Even after he had asked earlier... and mix colors such as do one coat of white and another coat of a sheer color on top of that. He always asked if I was happy with what was being done and I loved that as well. I look forward to coming back here! Today was my first time going to this salon. I must say it's a very nice salon.(decor) The nail tech Vy that butchered my nails was awful, she cut me 3x's the last time drawing a lot of blood and never apologized. I told her no more filing with the machine and she ignored me and put another tip on it as if that one would be better. mam it's not the tip you choose it's the person operating the machine. She couldn't shape my nails the way I asked her, after several failed attempts and all my nails shaped differently I said just forget it and finish my nails please. I walked I here feelin cause my pedicurist ain't returning my txts therefore I had to settle. Boi did a bih settle. Lemme tell y'all bout this Saturday afternoon bs! I walked in, spoke and "asked how long is the wait for a pedicure?" She looked at my two week old nails and asked if I wanted my nails done! I repeated myself a lul louder cause maybe the hoe ain't hear me. She then said, "there's no wait, pick a color". That's a stall tactic they use and I learned that some years back. I then said "I have my color". She looking like "fuck, she's on game". So I went to my lul station and sat down. This old lady, Ms. Lee, speaks, sits down and hands me the pedi list. I always chose #regular because my feet are pretty! *aside from this fuckin corn from wearing the wrong shoes when I first started working but that's another status and meme* Anywhat, I told her (without looking at the lul pamphlet), "I choose regular pedi". She gone fix her fuckin lips to upsale and say "this one is only 6 dollars more". ma'am, try me not! My reply was "I'm not tripping off the six dollars, I don't have calluses therefore I don't need that service" {insert deep sigh! This shit is supposed to be relaxing}. 13 mins into my pedi, bih drops a tool, picks it up, wipes it off with the lul towel and attempted to use it on my damn right foot! WHEW CHILE THE ASIANACITY!! Y'all know my mouth is borderline disrespectful so I said, "I would greatly appreciate it if you grabbed a clean tool". She did. 6 mins later, her coworker brought her tips. The coworker, obviously had some common sense cause she put in in her stuff. 19 secs later, another coworker brought her a tip. I got a full set a little over 2 weeks ago and I couldn't wait for them to grow out, so I could make them look better. I can't remember the lady who did it, but it took her about 45 minutes including gel polish. My nails looked okay prior to the polish, but then the polish showed all of the flaws. My nails finished drying and she got polish on my skin. I also noticed that they were SO wide. I complained about the polish on my skin and she got most of it off by wiping with a lot of painful force. I left and stood outside of the business and was fuming. I ran into a lady who just came out and I showed her and she said they looked "chunky". I was going to go the Kroger and calm down, but I didn't calm down. It was such a horrible job. To their defense, I did call to complain again and they said I could come back to the next day and have them fixed. I wasn't going to step foot back in that place, EVER. The technician failed to file the sides and therefore, that is why they were wide. I went to Nail Service at Northlake today and they had to take all of my nails off and give me a full set. This wasn't an upsell. My nail technician at Nail Service told me it would be easier to give me a full set. There was no extra charge. I paid the same I would have at The Nail Lounge and Spa. I do not recommend this Salon. Getting a mani/ pedi is a real treat for me. When you are on a fixed income, you need to know the cost of services before you commit. I called in advance & was quoted a price on a gel manicure & regular basic pedicure. When I arrived, I confirmed again with the male receptionist. The lady doing my toes tried to tell me I needed to get the more expensive pedicure & got an attitude when I said no. The lady doing my manicure wanted to charge $3.00 more for polish removal. I was ready to leave with pedicure only. The Manager intervened. I am sure that the employees are encouraged to try & sell customers up. There are many nail salons in Tucker, including a highly recommended new one across the street. read more

Will not return. I had a beautiful set of pink and white SNS nails that just needed to be filled (from other salon. Thought I'd try this salon.) Technician continued to sand so much that he took off all the nails. I made a comment about that and he said he'll put new tips and started over with the entire process. My nails looked nothing like they did when I got there. He put too much white and not much pink. I told him I didn't like all that white and he kept telling me he could make it right. Not sure of his exact words. All he did was kept filing the nails down. Didn't work. My nails are horrible! The nails on both hands don't even match.
