Their cute store front and a gingerbread macaroon
    Christina S.

I'm rating this based on a gingerbread macaroon that I got. It was only $3.50 for a sizable macaroon and it was throughly yummy! I loved every bite of it. The decor is also very cute inside.

pastries were delish! alysha, the owner, was so sweet and made great conversation/recommendations since the group i was with are from out of town! we got the pistachio macaron, peaches and cream cupcake and *not pictured* chocolate chip cookie. so good and definitely recommend for a sweet treat!

Honestly...what I had wasn't all that great. Nothing to race about here. I got a lemon blueberry scone, chocolate chip cookie, and a black coffee. Coffee was fresh and extremely hot, cookie was very large, and the scone was a cross between dry and moist. I liked the flavor of the coffee, whatever blend they use its bold and strong. The size of their cookies is awesome and it was crunchier on the outside but the middle was nice and chewy. I'd have to say that the cross of dry and moist would have equate to almost a stale texture. Sadly it barely had flavor and even the glaze did not supplement for the lack of taste. We went around 10a on a Monday morning and so I didn't feel like getting macarons or their cheesecake (which look phenomenal). Only two people working, one multi-tasking both as a cashier/ baker and the other just a baker.

Absolutely fabulous! I needed a variety of cakes and desserts for my great-nieces graduation party and this bakery was amazing. I have probably tasted 200 carrot cakes in my lifetime and this by far exceeded anything I have ever had. Aleeshs' carrot cake is absolutely delicious. And everything was so beautifully decorated in Astoria high school colors. Her macaroons are always worth my drive from Gearhart! So delicious! I was the star of the graduation party.

I heard about this place before coming to Astoria and had to stop once I saw it in town! There's parallel parking in front of the bakery, really all down the street TNL is on & it's free! Me and my husband came late Thursday afternoon and we were the only ones in so plenty of time to be indecisive - Lemon and maple macaroons: delicious. This was my macaroon cherry popper and it didn't miss. Both were soft and easy to bite. The outer part and the filling had sooo much flavor, and it wasn't sweet which I loved. I would def. Pick the lemon over the maple but it was still delicious! - Lemon blueberry scone: The scone was good. It wasn't too dry and the texture was on point. The piece I had had a decent amount of blueberries. However, the icing was too sweet for me :( - Chocolate chip cookie: I put it in the microwave about 10 secs and it was *chefs kiss*. 10/10 easy. - Carrot cake: the cake itself was moist and had great flavor. The icing, I just could put my finger on it if it had lemon or lime in it? Just I wasn't a fan of the icing on the carrot cake. I 100% recommend stopping in if you're in Astoria!

We ordered a cake from this bakery for a birthday celebration & it was so yummy. We had the chocolate with vanilla frosting. It was so pretty & the perfect size. We'll definitely be back.

Went to the Naked Lemon this afternoon and purchased pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin macaroons- was not disappointed! Fall is my favorite time of year and I love all things pumpkin & spice. Thanks for making our short trip the coast even more amazing with the perfect sweet treats!! We will be back!!

NEW LOCATION: 1423 Commercial Street (Yelp has the old address; unfortunately Yelp wouldn't take my update suggestion to list the new location- Google has it correct!) The owner was AMAZING and stayed open late on a Friday when I called and said my kiddos and I were trekking over from the old location Yelp directed us to. And SO SO happy she did! The macaroons were perfectly baked-not chewy and not dry, great flavor and HUGE! The cookies are also ginormous - the molasses gingerbread is an absolute must try.

I was heading…read moreto a friend's house to celebrate Mother's Day and decided to swing in to surprise her with a couple of cupcakes. The little joint has a cool vibe to it. You walk in and there is a nice sitting/eating area with tables. It's bright and clean. It would be a great place to visit with a friend while noshing on a pastry and cup of coffee. You continue through a threshold to the counter where the selection of goodies reside. The young man working the counter was friendly, chatty and polite. He did, however, put the cupcakes in their take out container incorrectly. Instead of placing the cake on the "bottom" piece, he dropped them into the "container" piece, and popped the bottom on as the top. I didn't realize his mistake until we tried to get the cakes out of the container, which proved to be a very difficult task. A bit of training on packaging may be in order. LOL! Since it was Mother's Day, I chose one of the Mother's Day chocolate cupcakes, along with a Mint Chocolate Cupcake. The frosting is mounded high on the mini-cakes, for sure! I am a frosting lover, so seeing the amount of frosting made my heart leap for sugar joy. The mint chocolate was definitely minty! I liked the frosting! Unfortunately, the cake part was very dry. The frosting was delish, but the cake was mediocre. Way too dry with a "day old" vibe about it. Very unfortunate, and for $6.00, I definitely expected better. The Mother's Day cupcake was good. The chocolate cake tasted fresh and moist. The frosting was nice, too. This definitely was the better of the two. Were they worth $6.00? I'm not sure, tbh. I know things are more expensive and baking is no cheap venture, but if I'm going to pay 6.00 for a cupcake, I do expect more than just "good". I will go back again and try some of the other creations, but only for a special occasion. I can definitely make my own for a lot less. I do hope they succeed though. I would recommend trying them out, and seeing if you find a cupcake you love. I think a small child would love picking out a fun, colorful cupcake as a special treat. They had a lot of different variety to choose from, so I'm hoping I find that one WOW cupcake soon!

But every trip we either walk or drive by this place and I always think, one day I'll give it a try. And yay for me, that day finally came. After our beach walk, my husband stopped in to get us beverages and a few chocolate treats. He got a frozen hot chocolate that just tasted okay. It wasn't very chocolately, or like it tasted like fake chocolate, which was disappointing. He got me a mango matcha lemonade (special) and it was really good but didn't taste like matcha at all (it was super green though). The highlight of our experience has to be the little chocolate treats. He got a variety, salted caramel, dark chocolate peanut butter cup and a few white chocolate treats which were beautiful and delicious. Service was just ok but we stopped in right before closing on a busy Sunday afternoon. I don't think we ordered the best so I would definitely give this place another try, maybe for their specialty milkshake or hot chocolate. And when I do, I'll update my review accordingly.

I did not care for the chocolate as the cake was very fluffy and light-lots of air holes. I prefer something dense. The whipped cream frosting was a nice balance to the sweet. I had tried to order a cake, but wasn't having luck finding a time in my workday to call when the shop was open. When I arrived there were about eight flavors to choose from in the case. The owner was friendly and actually offered to make me a cake that afternoon, but I didn't have enough time to wait in town that day. The flavors in the case were variations of a couple of flavors. All of the cupcakes are filled. There was chocolate cake with mousse, white cake with mousse, white cake with raspberry, white cake with lemon, and chocolate cake with raspberry. The cupcakes are huge. Most of us ended up enjoying our cupcakes one half at a time. The cake was moist and delicious. The frosting was light and fluffy, not a thick buttercream. We all liked that the frosting was different than what we expected. I don't typically experience sticker shock, but at $5 a cupcake I was a little shocked. The cupcakes were large, but I would have preferred normal sized cupcakes at a lower price.
