Waited in a line that was out the door and down the block to get my family some gelato from here. No regrets - it was delicious! My daughter got the cotton candy, I got a coffee flavor and chocolate, my sister got the pistachio, and we all loved it. It all tasted fresh and delicious and like they use real ingredients. First stop on the Oregon Ice Cream trail done. We thought we'd stop here since it was something different than standard ice cream. The gelato itself was pretty good, but not different enough from a good ice cream that I could tell. They have a huge list of flavors on their website, but they don't make it clear that at any given time they only have a portion of those flavors available, so I had to pick out new flavors for everyone because none of the ones we chose were being scooped that day. I chose the blackberry basil with goat cheese, which was really yummy, and not at all as you're fearing--I tested mostly blackberry, though others thought they detected a hint of basil. They used real blackberries, as evidenced by the seeds (doesn't bother me but some may object). Given this long it took, I don't know if I'd come back again. I think we waited at least 20 minutes. I'm glad we tried them and I'd absolutely return if there was a shorter line, but there are other ice cream shops around that are also well loved and don't have the huge line. read more

Food- we ordered the Banana Boat and then the Blue Razz- I believe that's the name. We had gone by one shop however they only accepted cash, on our walk back to the hotel a cashier of a shop heard us and highly recommended this shop- I'm so glad we went. The line was a tad long but it's really worth the wait. The flavors are incredible and it's so fresh. There were 2 staff working and they held their composure pretty well based on the line and wait time. A gelato gem! There are sooo many flavors to choose from and they even offer taste tests! I chose a pumpkin pie gelato, which had crumbles of real pumpkin pie in the mix. My daughter chose cookies & cream and my boyfriend chose Tillamook strawberry. They were all smooth and creamy and the perfect treat. Prices were fairly reasonable as well coming in at $13 for all 3! This is a cute place with good gelato, nothing outstanding though. I didn't like the confetti cake flavor. It tasted really artificial and had weird crunchy pieces in it. The chocolate was really good though. A small is 4$ but they give a hefty scoop which is nice. My boyfriend really liked his mocha frappe thing. We got gelato every night for the duration of our stay in seaside. It's a small space so if you have a large group there isn't much seating but Gelato and ice cream taste best walking on the beach while watching the sunset. They change a big chunk of their flavors every day and offer a wide variety of dairy free flavors as well. They are really good about labeling the flavors with allergies as well. I loved everything we tried! The employees are helpful in the decision making process and are prepared to let you taste test as much as you want. They change their flavors so good news you can go everyday. I love that they have dairy free. They're made with water so they taste very fresh but somehow creamy. We got in line at 9:35, it was a very long line still so we weren't sure if we would make it in, and we did! They were serving ice cream until like 10:30, so I believe everyone that was in line made in inside, and they cut the line off at a certain point, maybe 10pm. This is one of my favorite places in Seaside. I visit Seaside about 1-3 times a year. This is a spot I try to visit every time I visit this quaint town. The gelato is so flavorful and soft. So many fun flavors and reasonable prices. They are very friendly and offers samples prior to committing to your gelato choice. If you are a local - they give you an additional discount. Everything is made in-house including the waffle cones. They even make crepe doughnut like ice cream sandwiches too, but I haven't tried them. They also serve drinks and other desserts.
