We visited the Blue Scorcher to get outlet caffeine fix before traveling on. The honey latte was excellent and I enjoyed a matcha latte. The baked good offerings looked amazing. Since we had just eaten breakfast elsewhere we did not purchase any but wanted to. They also had a small menu offering breakfast and lunch, including vegan offerings. The interior was cute and quaint with bar seating along the front window and tables with chairs throughout. The service we received was great, friendly, and expedient. Make this a stop on your way through Astoria!

Cute working bakery. Usually grab coffee and a bagel when I'm there. I love that the plain bagel with cream cheese is prepared with such care. Worth a visit.

Made a quick stop in Astoria on our trip down the coast and found this cute spot! Folks working were awesome and helpful navigating the menu. The pastry case was full and loaded up with too many amazing pastries to pick from. There are a few two top tables outside that give you a peak at the water. Inside they've got lots of seating. I highly recommend the burritos! The yam one was delicious, packed with delicious healthy foods, and super filling. The cardamom orange morning bun was absolutely delightful. Crisp on the outside, soft and packed with flavor on the inside. Lots of street parking options available and right across the street from an EV charge station.

A side of potatoes that Steve got. Very hearty and tasty!

Blue Scorcher was on my list for restaurants to try in Astoria and we made it here on our most recent visit. We stocked up on pastries to take home. That was a stone in which we didn't leave unturned. We got the Rosemary Cake, the Carrot Cake and a Cinnamon Roll... specifically I think it was called a Brown Butter Cinnamon Roll. Those snacks were really good! I especially liked the cakes... especially the Rosemary one as it was fairly unique and delightful. Carrot Cake I haven't had forever so returning to have some was a bonus also. We also had a meal here and I got the Breakfast Tacos. A nice, small little meal and one you aren't likely to get too full on, these tacos had egg and a really good salsa that gave it a great kick. Nice restaurant... I really like the seating by the windows as you can good a good view while enjoying your meal.

Blue Scorcher Bakery Cafe - Astoria, OR - August 1, 2025 This a nice little bakery/cafe. We got a coffee and a couple items from the bakery. You order at the cash register and then they bring your order out to you. Our order taker was very nice. My wife said her chocolate, molasses, ginger cookie was the best she's ever had. I had a cardamom cinnamon roll that was also very good. They also do breakfast there. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Employees were very kind! The place was extremely busy but we got there early and had no issues! We had a fried egg, sour dough toast, and the breakfast sandwich with tempeh sausage which was all fantastic! The cold brew was smooth and easy to drink! The drip coffee was great as well the vibes were cool, like everyone hanging out at their friends house!

Homemade pastries and breads made in shop. The local coffees were excellent. No sugar was needed, just a little oat milk. The egg breakfast with greens and their homemade sourdough bread and jam were a divine combo. My hubby got the breakfast scramble. It was amazing and lightly garnished with micro greens. The service was great! A nice gentleman took our dishes for us. We really enjoyed the ambiance. Quaint, cute old building located under the famous Fort George brewery. They have a great book shelf with many reading options and tons of seating for cozy and chill moment. We'll be grabbing fresh baked bread and pastries for the road trip home. We will return. Check this place out! You won't regret it.

Probably a 2.5. Nice location. Plenty of space. Fairly friendly staff. Really bad Chai Latte. I mean- bad bad. Pretty good pastries, but all of it is fairly expensive.

    $20 breakfast "tacos" lol.

Got the breakfast tacos. Overpriced, mediocre food. Not sure what I expected, but it wasn't this.

5 Stars - A Must-Visit in Astoria! I stopped by Blue Scorcher Bakery for breakfast and was absolutely blown away! I ordered a breakfast sandwich and an iced caramel latte--and wow, both were incredible. The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love, and the coffee? To die for. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with that sweet caramel goodness. The service was just as lovely as the food--friendly, warm, and genuinely pleasant. It really added to the whole experience and made me feel right at home. The cozy, welcoming vibe of the place ties it all together. You can tell this is a spot that values quality and community. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Astoria. If you're in town, do yourself a favor and stop in--you won't regret it!

Terra welcomed both me and my husband with kindness and provided us with impeccable service. Couldn't have been more pleased, thank you! True props to the chef and crew!!! From start to finish (appetizer-entry-desert) had so much flavor that each and every bite was an explosion of perfectly seasoned and melded flavors. We had the crab cheese dip, house bread and prosciutto wrapped asparagus for our appetizers, my husband had the Ribeye steak and I had the King Salmon. His large steak was cooked to perfection and the flavors involved in the King Salmon concoction left my tastebuds in awe - seriously BRAVO! With no room left in our bellies we of course ordered the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler and pear margarita sorbet. Both were absolutely to die for. With 24 years of military service, much of it abroad, I've had my fair share of both and I'd put both of these at the very top. I'm a foodie and love the joys food can bring to so many regardless of background or origins. You brought unexpected joy to my life this weekend and for that I'm taking the time to write this review and to say thank you. Can't wait for our next visit to Astoria and to Bridgewater Bistro. We were seated at a window table, which was great. We ordered a couple drinks and a couple appetizers. The crab dip and calamari were amazing. Probably the best crab dip I've ever had. For main courses, I ordered the seared scallops and added prawns to the dish as well as a side of their chowder. So good. Melt in your mouth scallops. The chowder was some of the best I've had. My wife ordered pasta Alfredo with shrimp. She said it was amazing as well. And my daughter ordered the Boullabaisse. I've never heard of it but it's a seafood bowl that is delicious and has many seafoods inside.. almost like a soup. She loved it. Dessert was a chocolate torte and a cheesecake slice. Again, amazing. This is a must go to restaurant if you want upscale in Astoria, Oregon. It is well worth the price. And you cannot beat the atmosphere and service. It is exceptional.

I have traveled across the nation and spent time in countless queer spaces from coast to coast, yet Xanadu stands in a league of its own. Imagine a world where the staff and the patrons exist in a state of authentic joy. There is no drama in sight. There are no pretenses. It is a place where people gather for the simple pleasure of a shared laugh and genuine connection. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, but it is the people who truly make it shine. January sounded like a slower season for them, which showed since we were the only diners that evening. Honestly, it made the experience even more special. He was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely great at what he does. On to the food. We started with the fresh baked bread and Brussels sprouts. I never thought Brussels sprouts could steal the show, but these were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I ordered the linguine, and my boyfriend had the filet with crab and hollandaise sauce. Both dishes were outstanding and truly next level. The vibe of the restaurant was perfect. Because we were driving through on our road trip, we decided to make a stop here for a late lunch this last Tuesday afternoon, around 2:15 pm. After we parked, we walked inside and headed towards the salad bar/ hot bar food area. After looking around (there is also a counter that you can order made to order sandwiches and burritos), I ended up deciding to purchase the following: Peanut Chicken Sesame Noodle Salad, $8.99- This was quite a massive portion so I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it and then had the rest over the next few days (I ended up mixing it with some chopped cucumbers and tomatoes that I had to make a large salad). I loved the peanut sesame dressing and noodles in this salad but wished there was more chicken. Mayak Egg Noodle Bowl, $8.99- My husband picked this salad for himself but I didn't have any. He thought it was good and appreciated something fresh, as his bowl had shredded cabbage, like my salad, and cucumbers and shredded carrots. Pumpkin Pie, $6.99- My husband saw this small pumpkin pie and decided to get it because he is such a big fan of it. I actually don't like pumpkin as much as when I was much younger. This was helpful for me to be able to thoroughly mix my noodle salad since the dressing was mostly on the bottom.
