Ground Beef Quesadilla
Marshdeleen H.

Wasn't informed the ground beef would have peppers and onions in it (kids normally order ground beef american quesadilla/tacos so they were not happy) its not on there doordash also isnt seasoned well the beef just taste like peppers. Most importantly i found a hair in my quesadilla (in the photo i attempted to take out as much peppers and onions but it almost took me an hour)

Wife almost choked on a bone in her enchiladas... Why would a bone be in her enchiladas? I don't know. They gave us a $3 discount and didn't even sound concerned. Won't be going back.

TINY shrimp burrito vs ground beef burrito

We have ordered from y'all a few times and like the food although it's a little overpriced. But it's tasty and not a lot of Mexican options around. Today we ordered on uber eats and my shrimp burrito which was $20 because I added avocado was literally half the size or less of my husband's burrito. There has never been such a size discrepancy between different types and is absolutely ridiculous. If I'm gonna get half the burrito it should be half the price.

Elote in a bowl

Great find on Yelp! Parking on site is limited but not a deal breaker given the quality of food. The decor is fun/casual and our server was super friendly. We ordered the Sampler, Nachos, Elote (in a bowl), and a burrito with chorizo. The wings that came with the Sampler were SUPERB and our food was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be returning!

Al Pastor Burrito

One of the "secrets" of business has to do with core competencies. Find something you're good at, and keep doing it. This place had a thing: great food. I'm saddened to say that on my last visit, the food has taken a turn to the worse. I was able to try an Al Pastor burrito, a steak taco salad, and their homemade hot sauces. While burritos are filled with all sorts of different ingredients, they are supposed to be a symphony. Everything is supposed to melodiously, shining through just enough. This burrito was however a cacophony. First, there was a disproportionately large amount of beans and rice, which were not at their freshest. This made the overall texture quite mushy. Additionally, worse than that it meant there was little room left for veggies and proteins. Second, the meat that was in there was not Al Pastor, there wasn't a hint of pineapple I could pick up on. Even if they made a mistake and put something else in there, the meat by itself wasn't great. It was on the bland side, and also had a mushy texture. It was as if this had been lying at the bottom of a hotel pan, since the day before. Third, you have the veggies: in the mush the only thing I could pick up on was some lettuce. As with everything else, while not wilted, no at its freshest. Finally, there's the last two nails in the coffin for this sad excuse for a burrito... I paid some extra for cheese and guacamole. I was able to find some cheese, but there was so little if I didn't see it, I wouldn't know it was there. Worse, the guacamole was nowhere to be found, I could neither see nor taste it. Then, there's the steak salad... This one was better than the burrito, but also not without its issues. The bottom was of the salad wasn't just moist, but wet. This is most likely from the lettuce, which was crunchy, but felt as if it just got out of a pool. If this were dressing that would be one thing, but it was water. Steak was fairly good, maybe just a hair overdone. Didn't have any issues with quantity here. Finally, the home-made hot sauces: With the exception of the red one, these were great. The red was supposed to be the hottest, but to my taste it was rather mild, and lacked a distinct flavor). The pineapple one was great, it had great heat, and just the right balance of acidity and sweetness. Finally, the tomatillo one was pleasant too, medium heat, and great flavor Finally, even though they have one of those dish heaters, it was quite chilly in here!

3 Taco Combo

Came here from a recommendation of a friend and am very happy I did! The street corn was good and I could tell they boiled it in a broth rather than plain water. I had the shrimp burrito and could only finish half as it was incredibly filling and tasty. My friends ordered the tacos with both the soft and hard shells and found themselves full two out of three tacos in. We had to try to the churros while we were here which were serve nice and hot along with a side of Nutella. Glad to have found another local Mexican spot!

While the inside is very cute and our waitress was lovely, we were served stale nachos to start and then our food was very average (shrimp bowl and shrimp tacos). I had high hopes based on others' reviews, but I was very disappointed.

Got shrimp fajitas. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful, and they do trivia on Wednesday nights!

Food was just okay. The food lacked flavor. Guacamole needed salt and the rice and beans were lacking seasoning as well.

I thought the food would be a bit more authentic. I got tacos that were Luke warm and didn't have very good flavor.

Terrific food and service. Good for takeout as well. Not a ton of mexican food in the area, but this one stands out.

I know I know. I already have reviewed this place a couple of times…read more I don't even know why other Mexican eateries open up in Beverly when La Vic is here. Every local gets food here. Every one. The food cannot be touched. By anyone. Enchiladas are great, burritos are standouts, brisket in anything tastes so good I you would think I'd made it. So tender so good not fatty at all. Truly, it's just great. And busy and packed and not cheap but not expensive either. So good. We go twice a month and have been since it opened. Small hole in the wall, takeout, and consistently good and busy. Go here. You will not be disappointed.

It comes with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo, pickled onions, avocado, jalapeños, and pureed beans. I opted to omit the avocado, jalapeños, and beans. The sandwich was super flavorful and delicious. I usually don't like red onions, but the pickled onions on this sandwich were a tasty touch. Next time, I'll be getting extra onions--it was that good! The food was well-packaged, seasoned perfectly, and served hot. I was initially hesitant because I'm not usually a fan of Mexican food in the U.S., but they did a great job. Ten out of ten, highly recommend!

Tried Sala Restobar in Beverly and overall it was a pretty underwhelming experience…read more We started with drinks -- I ordered a piña colada expecting it to be blended, but it came unblended. Nothing on the menu or from the server mentioned that, which was disappointing right away. When I told the server I didn't like it and wanted something else, he literally tilted his head and said, "ummm what do I tell the bartender?" That honestly rubbed me the wrong way -- just felt unprofessional and awkward. Jenny got a tequila cosmo, which was fine, nothing special. Food-wise, everything was just average. The bao buns were overcooked and the bun fell apart, though the flavor was decent. The pineapple fried rice was probably the best thing we had, but even that was just okay. We also had dumplings -- Jenny liked them, but I thought they were just alright. Dessert was the biggest miss. The blueberry cobbler was not good at all -- maybe a 3/10 at best. One thing that really didn't sit right was when we asked to split the tasting menu and were told no. That doesn't make much sense -- if people want to share, especially for a tasting menu, it should be allowed. Overall, nothing stood out in a good way, and between the service and the food, solid ambiance , it just wasn't a great experience.

Portions were larger than expected, and each dish was very shareable, so you can easily try eight things instead of four if you plan it right. They also have live jazz music -- every Thursday from 7-10pm, and on Friday and select Saturday nights from 8-11pm. If you want a clear view of the musicians, try to sit on the right side (opposite the entrance), though the middle works too. It's a fairly small space, so most tables can see, and all tables can hear. Overall, it's a fun spot -- good food, a relaxed vibe, and the live music (when available) adds a nice touch. If you're looking for something new to try when in the Beverly / Salem area, or a good date-night venue, I'd check out Sala.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Or should I say, "Si! Si! Si!"…read more My family and I discovered this place one year ago, and have eagerly been returning to it ever since. When it comes to Grilled Fish Tacos, I am beyond anal with my expecations of what I expect to receive, for most places will serve the dish over cooked and beyond dried out. That is not at all the case at Casa Tequila! After at least 5 to 6 visits in the past year, and ordering the same dish each time, and I can truly confirm that this place is consistant, with their quality ingredients and overall passion for their menu. The service has always been a pleasurable experience and feels very much like everyone who works there is family. We love eating here, especially on their patio in the Summer months and look forward to our next visit as soon as we pay our bill for the meal we just so very much enjoyed.

Dinner was served buffet style, but we started with the always-addicting chips & dips: salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. The taco bar buffet was perfect and had the usual options: chicken, steak, pork, hard & soft shells, refried beans, rice, etc. My husband and I both raved about how good the hot sauce is. It was just hot enough without being overwhelming. I would definitely frequent this restaurant if I lived in the area!

I'm honestly surprised by all the good reviews, do y'all not have tastebuds?…read more I love tacos. Love is an understatement. This was so off putting I refused to finish a taco out of my 3 taco meal. Played it safe, got the ground beef. The taco was greasy despite having the double tortilla layer which it had soaked through. The taco meat was very bland and there was a funky sweet taste to it, maybe because of the chipotle aioli? No cheese. No hot sauce. Between the texture and the taste, there was no way I was able to get past a couple bites. I thought the chips and salsa would be my saving grace, however there was zero salt on the chips and the salsa was just their pico de gallo. The pico was super watery and tasted like bland tomato water. No salt or flavor in there either. In addition, you can get a pretty good idea about a place's cleanliness based off what you can see going on in the kitchen. The cook was wearing gloves while scrolling on his/a phone and didn't change those gloves to make our food. Additionally, he went to the restroom with the gloves on and while he wasn't wearing by them when he came out, but it wasn't long enough thoroughly wash your hands. The staff were sitting on the stainless steel counters where meal prep is done. Just not a place I feel comfortable eating.

The one overarching adjective I have for this place is "solid." From the lobster to the shrimp to the fish, everything was so fresh and high quality that we were extremely impressed. Don't expect "authentic" Mexican tacos. These definitely have their own take on them - Baja California at times, New England lobster roll at times. But all extremely tasty, to the point I'd consider making a drive up here from Boston because the food is just that good. The real standout in our lineup today was the grilled corn. Don't miss it - we had a great time and can't wait to come back and sit in the bales of hay outside!
