We've been to a bunch of two-stars in NY, DC, Tokyo, and Paris, and they mostly program in a heartier, larger main at some point that lets the guest fill up. The wagyu was tasty but... it was probably 3oz of steak. Second: the service was over the top. We had two trainees tonight, and man were they trying hard. The descriptions bordered on melodrama, and they really struggled with interrupting and trying to subtly hurry along one of the slower eaters among us. That really shouldn't happen at this level. Too much service; it shouldn't be noticed when it's done right. We love the Michelin guide. Wolf's Tailor is a gem, and it certainly deserves a star.
