Absolutely Exceptional Jack's on Pearl exceeded every expectation. As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Our meal, service, and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. The space looks nice but the food is disappointing. The grilled shrimp appetizer has no flavor, the scallop risotto has chunks of colorful bell peppers and undercooked scallop. It was just blah for lack of a better word. You're probably better off ordering steak because they do a decent job with that. Omg. We LOVED Jacks! We got there early and were happy to get 2 seats at the bar. This seems to be a popular spot, so I recommend a reservation or early arrival. We ordered the salmon Sashimi to start (epic), the Hipster Wedge salad, (yummmm) and the filet Champion style. THAT was one of the best steaks we have ever eaten. Incredible. We made a reservation at Jack's for our wedding anniversary earlier this week and were so happy we did! They had us set up at a nice table with cute little anniversary signs and the hosts mentioned it as well. We ordered cocktails and food pretty quickly, the cocktail was tasty and I couldn't wait to try the food. I ordered the wagyu filet with the lobster add on, and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the spicy shrimp and lobster linguini. Everything was So damn good. Some of the best filet I've ever had! We ordered a little dessert as well, a brownie with their homemade Ice cream and sauce and after dinner coffee. So tasty! This was one of the best meals, and the only reason why I'm giving it four instead of five stars is because of a little hiccup we had at the beginning. We were on time for our reservation, but the restaurant said our table wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes. There wasn't a whole lot of apology there. They ushered us upstairs to the bar area to wait (and buy drinks). A comped glass of champagne, or maybe a comped appetizer or dessert would have gone a long way and would have been the level of service we'd expect from a nicer, pricier restaurant such as Jack's. Obviously, that didn't happen. When we finally got our table, the evening did improve. Despite the less than stellar beginning, the rest of the evening was quite delightful. Service at our table was absolutely impeccable. We enjoyed the sashimi trio, and I get why Jack's makes a big deal out of their fish. The fish was so buttery and flavorful! The French onion soup was piping hot and full of all the classic flavors you'd expect. The Kansas City ribeye was more on the rare side of medium rare, but I actually didn't mind that. The meat was juicy and tender. Surprisingly, the French dip sandwich was probably our favorite over the steak. They use prime rib, and it is a standout. When your server tells you that of all the things the staff can pick for their shift meal they pick this sandwich, then you know you have something special. Finally, we ended the night with the chocolate chip cookie, as recommended by our server. It's definitely more of a skillet cookie, but without the skillet. Super soft and chewy and paired perfectly with housemaid ice cream. All in all, the meal was fantastic, and despite how the night started, we enjoyed ourselves. We'll likely be back. read more

What do you get the person who is difficult to shop for? A nice dinner out. I took my hubby here last weekend as an early Christmas present. We were sat in a corner booth, facing the fish that are dry aging. We had the privilege of Paul as our server. He was excellent! It's obvious he enjoys his job and the establishment. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and prompt. Such a pleasure! We started with the quadruple sashimi combo - all unique and delicious, though the king salmon and yellowtail were my favorites. For main events, we each got filets: champion style for my hubby, Oscar style for me. The steaks have a nice char flavor from the wood grill. They're incredibly tender. The accompaniments were lovely as well with both preparations - we each stole a bite of the other's. We shared the Brussels sprouts as well, which were served family style. Very tasty. To end our meal: bread pudding, which was tasty but super sweet. I only had a few bites, though the strong coffee they serve was a lovely foil to this dish. Sushi roll that we ordered had overcooked rice . It was way too mushy . Steak , however, had a nice sear and good seasoning. It was delicious. Fries were tasty too, crispy and hot . Salad was fresh and delicious. We also ordered French boule . It was very tasty and garlic butter was great! I didn't care much for the ice cream dessert. Apparently made in house but it didn't taste any better than store bought vanilla ice cream. It was very sweet too. Overall it was a good experience . The food was pretty tasty. The sushi was the only let down because the rice was overcooked so everything was just a bit mushy since it was all the same texture. The steak however was the highlight! Neat surprise to discover this place after it's already been open for a couple of years just south of us. Very much liked our server Kevin and the hip ambience. Liked the food but not "as good as it gets." Sprouts were tasty but too greasy. Their wagyu ribeye steak--which they called their signature dish--had excellent flavor, but, and I know it was the ribeye so fattier than other cuts, just too much gristle and fat on it for us. I thought the Chilean sea bass was excellent, along with another "but", ... not a huge fan of the pea sauce on which it was served. That said, absolutely loved the arancini app and we'll definitely return. Good vibes, good food and good service are things to be appreciated and we'll give ourselves another try of it down the road. Had a wonderful meal at Jack's on Pearl. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. The reasons I can't give it a 5 star are the atmosphere and the pricing. The restaurant is very open and the tables very close. It was so loud from all the people just talking that we and our waiter had to raise our voices to hear each other. For those prices I like a more quiet and calm atmosphere. But if you do go, you have to order the fresh baked French Boule. It comes with some amazing garlic butters. read more

The KC strip steak. Stop. Go no further. Order the KC strip steak. Im sure there can be no better steak in Denver. If you live near here or can fly to denver, come here and get the KC strip steak. The pecan and mesquite bring a nice flavor balance to the meat. The veal demi glace and herb butter bring a fantastic mouth feel and flavor highlight. Insanely good. Admittedly, they like to undercook the steak, so I asked for mine more cooked than I usually would. The steak came out just like I like it, so I advise asking them to cook a little longer. You just gotta love a good birthday dinner celebration. I requested at the time of the reservation for booth seating if available. When we got to the restaurant the hostesses let me know the only booth seating would be on the upstairs..:we threw caution to the wind and went for it. The upstairs turns out to have its own second bar and the booth and table was just perfect. Our waiter Vince was entertaining but just a tad too braggadocious and winded for us at times. We started off with a round of very well made cocktails. For appetizers we shared French onion soup and their top flight sashimi plate. The French onion soup was on point but coming from Southern California the sashimi had a wonderful presentation but was the one thing on this night that fell flat in the taste department. For our entrees we all went with the wagyu steaks champion style. We ordered and shared the poblano Mac and cheese and the Asian Brussels sprouts as our sides. This meal was as good as it gets. For dessert we did the three dessert platting and sang happy birthday. Jacks on pearl has a higher price point but knowing that going in know you will get a fine satisfying meal here for any occasion. Our server was perfect -- knowledgeable, friendly, there when you need him, but never overbearing. The food was outstanding. The oysters with blueberry & jalapeño were such a fantastic combo. Chilean sea bass is my favorite fish, and this dry aged sea bass was one of the best I've ever had. And the Parmesan polenta that came with it was to die for! Our delightful server, Cheyenne, took great care in her recommendations. We started with the Blackberry Margarita -- yummy! The restaurant ambiance is energetic, just the right amount of noise. Paul was exemplary as our server. Came with great energy, a super friendly personality, and plenty of recommendations. He simply did not lead us astray. I had the 7 oz tenderloin served champion style. Cheesy duck fat potatoes and oh so delightfully grilled steak. Flavorful beyond belief.
