I've live here for 2 1/2 years and have been happy. Rooftop is fantastic! Location is perfect for getting to other parts of the city easily. The staff are responsive and friendly. You can actually find street parking within a couple of blocks. Trash concierge is a good bonus. Only real down is road noise from Stone Way during the day and heavy-footed upstairs neighbor. read more

I lived here for 1 year and it was the worst living experience I have ever had in Seattle. The building while nice is terribly designed. The rooms are all ungodly hot to the point of having a fan in there hardly even makes a difference. It's less painful to sit in a hot tub while on fire than try to deal with the heat the is created in these rooms. The theater room is very nice but be careful...leave ANY sort of garbage and the management will be quick to call you and charge you a "cleaning fee" which I always through funny since they already have someone who cleans on a regular basis. The rooftop is a great selling point but as many have pointed out the equipment almost never works and management is too busy witch hunting the residents for "cleaning fees" to bother doing anything about it. When living there I could hardly come home without finding some sort of a note on the apartments from the management urging everyone to not to slam their doors when they come home. I am sorry, I understand being considerate at late hours but I am not going to ninja into my own apartment at 5:30pm!! If the doors slam then go fix the doors!!! All of these problems can be overlooked if the management was not so draconian. They will charge you a REAL HARSH $100 late fee on rent without mercy. They will charge you cleaning fee's, pet rent (this is in ADDITION to the pet deposit), and may the gods above help you if there is ever a noise complaint. The manager, Kim has the emotional control of a 3 year old. Hard to deal with and vindictive. It also took me 2 months to get my deposit check back after moving out. This was AFTER I emailed them asking where it was. Please avoid this place at all costs. It is not worth the money. For that same money you can find a much better places in Wallingford where you won't have to deal with all the headaches I listed above. read more

I've lived here for about 2.5 years in a studio apartment and I really like it! It is a very quiet building, and my courtyard view is very peaceful. I love the hardwood floors, and the closet and bathroom are very large. Amenities are nice, there is a small gym which is very much a plus for me, as I really can't be bothered to work out unless the gym is literally in my building. They have free yoga there every week which is great. There is also a club room, it has couches and tables and a TV. I've reserved it a few times to host dinners with friends or movie nights. There is also a rooftop with great views of Seattle. Wonderful in the summer. there are 2 grills up there, and a fire pit. The grills are nice, the fire pit is occasionally broken. Parking has never been a problem for me, I can usually find a free spot in the first level of the garage, which is mostly first come first served. If nothing is available there, street parking is generally pretty good too. The apartment managers are super nice and extremely helpful. Special shout out to Kim and her super cute dog. I certainly recommend the Noble to anyone looking for a nice Wallingford apartment. read more

If you live in the building and have an EV don't expect easily accessible charging. They have 4 possible charging ports and only 1 is actively working. People in the building and in the neighborhood have requested that they fix the situation and the management won't do it. read more

I've had an exceptionally pleasant and positive experience during my two years at The Noble. My studio was in pristine condition (having been only the second tenant living there), with new appliances, hardwood floors, and a washer/dryer in unit. The building itself is secure, quiet, and well-maintained. During the few times I needed maintenance work, the staff was prompt and friendly. I also like the fact that the preferred internet provider here is NOT Comcast, and that in itself has prevented headaches. In addition, the rooftop view is stunning, and perfect for summer BBQs. The staff here have worked hard to build a sense of community, and I've been lucky to call this place home. The reason I am leaving is the only downside to The Noble -- the rental cost isn't competitive. I'm moving to a location nearby with more square footage, a gym, and lower pet fees -- all for less than I'm paying now. Outside of this, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about living here. I would recommend it. I will truly miss the comfort and fun of living at The Noble in Wallingford. read more

I lived at The Noble Apartments for 12 months and can honestly say that it has been the easiest and most relaxing place I've lived at yet. My unit was super quiet (faced the back courtyard) and I never had any problems with the unit. The A/C ports in the apartments were a lifesaver in the summer and the size of the studio apartments are pretty nice for the area. All of the management staff (Jessica, Ryan, and Scarlett) were super kind and helpful, and they never seemed to be annoyed if I needed their help. They even offer to drop off packages in your unit if you aren't around before the office closes for the day. All in all, my experience had been an overall positive one and would recommend staying here if you can afford to and want a place to live in the Wallingford area. read more

I lived at the Noble for 11 months and had a great experience. Yes, my unit got a bit warm in the summer, and the fire pit on the roof broke a couple of times. Overall though, the building was clean and kept up well, maintenance issues were taken care of really quickly, the roof deck was beautiful, and my unit was SO QUIET. The only thing I ever heard were dogs barking every once in a while or a leaf-blower. My utility bills were cheap, the view from my unit was lovely, the view from the roof was stunning, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and polite. It can be very easy to focus on all the negative's of a place to live, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience living in a studio on my own. I will miss the Noble and wish they had more 2-bedrooms. If you are looking for a spot in Wallingford and like a clean, quiet, convenient spot with well laid-out units, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

I've lived here for two years in a studio and I am only leaving because my girlfriend and I are moving in together. Overall, it has been a great living experience for me. Kim, the property manager, has always been kind to me and even helped me out when I had a maintenance issue in my apartment. I really don't get where the negative reviews are coming from. Haters gonna hate, I guess. The amenities are great, but the theater and club rooms are frequently not working properly because other residents mess with the wires. This could be fixed by just locking up the components. However, the club room was just redecorated with some snazzy West Elm furniture and is now an incredible space for board gaming, or hosting a little get-together. The view from the roof may be the best in the city, and the fire pit has always worked for me. Same with the grills. They can be a little finicky, but anyone with some mechanical sense can get them going easily. I've always parked my car around the building, never had trouble finding parking, and my car has never been damaged or broken into. The fire alarm went off probably once a year. No big. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out the building. read more

When my wife and I moved in to the Noble, way back in February of 2013, it was owned by a different management group. Very nice people, very easy to work with, and legitimately pet-friendly. Several months after signing our lease, it was bought out by a new management company, with all new rules. Pet-friendly? I wouldn't even say they are pet-TOLERANT. Dogs are not allowed off leash anywhere in the hallways. They cannot come into the common areas. They are not allowed on the rooftop. And they've even posted signs requesting that you take your dog a block away to go to the bathroom, because they don't want dogs urinating on their bushes. They also currently request not only a large pet deposit, but then they also charge $50 per pet, per month. So what the heck is the pet DEPOSIT for? Speaking of the rooftop, I lived at the Noble for a year and a half, and in that time, I used the fire pit on the roof ONCE. It was always broken. There are also two propane grills for cooking, and lo, one of them caught on fire (due to the Noble's own cleaners spraying the wrong chemicals on it), sending the entire rooftop into a blazing inferno. Because of that, they disconnected the OTHER grill, and for about five months we didn't have any grills. Which was a pretty big reason I signed the lease in the first place. There have been numerous break-ins into the cars in the underground garage, and our own car was vandalized right out front of the building. During a 4th of July party on the rooftop, about half the tenants got blind drunk, stood on people's roofs, ripped fixtures out of walls, and urinated in the planters. The only response from the management? A sternly worded flyer telling people not to do it again. The hallways are a depressing blend of concrete and drab colorings. If you've heard of the architectural style "New Brutalism," that's what the Noble would fall under. Metal doors clanging, locks whirring...it feels like something out of a dystopian novel. Not to mention that two of the outside gates are flimsy enough that you can just yank them open, so if you forget your keys, or if you're a homicidal maniac looking to stage a brutal home invasion, you're in luck! The property manager, Kim Morrison, is the last person you will ever want to deal with. You know those people that, when they smile, you can FEEL the forced nature of it? That's her. She doesn't give a shit about your living conditions. When my wife was on maternity leave, and I became the sole breadwinner, I was a little short, not on rent, but on the utilities that month. I tried to explain this to her, and she said there was nothing she could do, because if she doesn't collect the funds from me, that could affect her bonuses later on. To reiterate: I am telling her that I just had my first child, and that our money is being stretched very thin, and all I was asking for was another day or two to get in the rest of the utility bill....otherwise she was going to charge me 100 dollars for being late. Well, she DID charge me the hundred dollar fee, all because she wanted her bonuses. She said this outright to me. Her BONUSES? I'm trying to provide a home for my family. Flabbergasting. And as the icing on the cake, I was hit by a car in May, and had to miss several days of work. I was unable to come up with the full amount of the rent that month, and instead of working with me (they will not accept anything less than the total amount due) they filed an eviction notice for me, my wife, and our 4 month-old baby, about a week later. The Noble is one of....scratch that, the Noble is THE worst living experience of my life. And I slept in a bush once. No human emotion, cold atmosphere, a nonsensical layout, and worst of all, they flat-out don't like dogs (no matter what they'll try to say about being 'pet-friendly'). The Noble has all the charm of a clammy office building. Occasionally they put out plates of donuts or granola bars for residents, which is their half-assed attempt at "customer service." Stay as far away from this pit of despair as you can. Pros: Jeannie, the other lady in the front office, is very sweet. Miles, the maintenance guy, is one of the coolest guys ever. And the media room is decent because the TV is so large. But that's about it. Stay away. Stay far away. Fact: the Noble Apartments were built on an ancient Indian burial ground. You can find better. UPDATE: I received our "Move In/Move Out Inspection" in the mail, and it's a complete farce. We spent two whole days cleaning the apartment, and on the inspection list, they just flat-out claim that our floors are "dirty," our tub is "dirty," and our stove is "dirty," among other things. How can we really argue that? They never did a walk through with us. So that's a bit subjective, no? If they really wanted to, they could just say we left a rotting goat carcass in the microwave; who are we to argue? We've already been evicted. The Noble Apartment is run by crooks and liars. read more

Terrible management, of both the amenities/customer service and will not work with you if have any financial difficulties. The 24 hour assistance is a farce and the security doesn't prevent any theft or vandals. If you are, however, cuddling with your significant other and watching a movie in the media room, you can be sure that the security guard will come and check in on you. Because that's what everyone is worried about. Rent is late after the 5th, and evictions are processed within the next few days. They are not Pet friendly. The apartments are cute but very small for the price. Yes the view is awesome, but the rooftop is often closed and grills/heat lamps/fire pit broken. It's too bad the Noble was bought out, the original management group was amazing. read more

Not sure why all the bad reviews, but we moved in when The Noble first opened and stayed 2 years. Sorry to leave Seattle and The Noble. Things I liked about the property: -We were on the end of the top floor, very quiet, great light, big windows. -management was responsive to our concerns and the building was very well cared for -yes, the rent went up after year 1, but not as much as expected, which was nice -they added security and the building felt quiet and safe -not sure why people have a problem with a pet fee. In many other cities pets are not welcomed and if they are, the properties are often sub standard -liked the safe area to take our aging dog out late at night -loved easy access to the top floor roof deck, great views -our electric bill never exceeded $15/month. We had the option to purchase and add an AC unit in the bedroom, but opted not too. Loved the low utility bills -great Wallingford location. Convenient to the #16 #44 bus lines We would definitely choose The Noble again. read more

This is the nicest, most accomodating rental situation I've ever had. Service from the office managers is incredibly friendly, detail-oriented and efficient. The maintenance and repair employee is also highly professional and available consistently. There is 24 hour assistance available via phone, plus a security outfit that I was glad to be able to use when I overheard a neighbor that sounded like they were in trouble in the hall, but didn't want to check in the middle of the night. People with dogs and babies alike seem happy here; after almost five months here I conclude that it's a great place for families as well as young professionals. I've used the barbecue area a number of times with my family, and the air conditioned movie room and "club" room with friends. I've gone to a couple staff-hosted community get -togethers and met really nice neighbors overall. The amenities and service are awesome, but my favorite thing is my apartment-- the furnishings are high quality and the layout is really thoughtful. All this means I get to relax when I'm home, and so I spend time enjoying my view of the green, green courtyard. Really a peaceful place to live! read more

I lived here for about one year so felt I could chime in on a couple observations: Pros: -Beautiful rooftop view of Seattle. Plenty of room and furniture to host a party or relax during the summer. There was a community media room and lounge as well but I never used either. -Intuitive design. Large walk-in closet space. Nice finish with quartz countertops and soft closing cabinets. Hideaway panels for routers. Built in exhaust ports for portable AC Units (This was big. The units get extremely hot in the summer and having a AC Unit was a must for me). -Close to several local bars, grocery stores, Wallingford park, and bus lines to downtown. -Ample street parking in the area. I felt like paying for a parking space was a waste of money here unless you really wanted to have your vehicle covered. Even then, there was a big issue with vehicle break-ins inside of the secured area of the garage early on. I'm sure thieves piggy backed behind people who left the gate open or figured something out, I actually felt better off leaving my items out of view and parking on the street in visible light. The break-ins cut down after they hired some overnight security and sent out reminders for residents to stay vigilant. -Never had an issue with noise from neighbors. There would often be people coming home late around 1-2AM but this was never an issue for me since I'm a night owl myself. Cons: -Not sure if anyone else noticed but the tap water seemed to be abnormally high in calcium or something causing hard water spots in the toilet and shower very quickly as opposed to my previous and current residency. You have to clean it much more frequently and I recommend using a water filter or boiling the water first, if you drink from the tap (I ended up using bottled water). -The rooftop was nice but the equipment was never working properly! The heat lamp and pit appeared to have a running gas lines to them but I could never get them to work. The barbecue grills were never maintained. The ignitors never worked from the beginning, you had to use matches or your own ignitors. The buttons controlling the gas line wouldn't work properly and the flame would go away immediately on some of the burners. I noticed some people had taped the buttons open so that the flame would stay lit (probably not the safest thing). There was a wind storm where one of the grills had tipped over and caused a fire in the grilling area of the roof. This had to been at least a few months ago and by the time I moved out the grills still weren't functioning. I think the community grill was a huge selling point and this should have been fixed sooner. Overall it was a nice place to stay for the year. It was a little pricey and I had mixed experiences with the neighbors (some of them seemed a little stuck up, wouldn't say hi, etc.. People in Capitol Hill are much friendlier in general). I had little interaction with the staff with the exception of stopping by to pick up packages so I can't say much about them. I remember e-mailing them a couple times with questions when they sent out a notice that they were considering changing the community lounge into a cardio room but never received a response (may have been due to staff turnover at the time). Again, it's a great neighborhood that's close to downtown but still far enough away that you can walk around without running into a bunch of vagrants like in Belltown or Capitol Hill. read more

I have been living at the Noble for just shy of 13 months and felt I should chime in here for people who are considering living here. The building is nice, new, and clean, and the location is wonderful. However, for the price that you pay--I pay 1800 for a 650 sq ft 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor, facing south, without a view-- you simply do not get your money's worth. It started on my move-in day. I had contacted the management at least 3 times via email and 3 times via voice mail without hearing back. Finally I was able to get in touch with them via phone. I was driving from Tennessee to Seattle, which is about 2500 miles, and knew I may arrive after hours and, given that I was already paying rent, wanted to be able to get into my new home. They agreed to set up the call box with my number so that I could buzz myself into the building and then they would leave my apartment unlocked with the key in a drawer. I arrived after 4 full days of driving 12 hours per day, totally exhuasted, only to find that they had not done this. They significantly hike up the rent when your lease is up-- mine went up 200 and is now a little over 2000. For a 650 sq ft 1 bedroom....? There are electronic keys which frequently break. For most of the year, one or multiple of the doors to the building have not been functioning, requiring one to go around. Worse, I have personally known 2 people who came back to their apartments and were unable to get in. For the price we are paying, that sort of inconvenience is simply unacceptable. Can you imagine coming home and not being able to get into your apartment?? There is no 24 hour maintenance. There have been numerous fire alarms (one for a real fire caused by their cleaning crew, which I cannot complain about), and the alarms are really, truly, unsafely loud-- I feared for my pets health. Not just normal fire alarm loud. Kill your elderly dog with a heart attack loud. I do not wish that on anyone. A few months into my tenancy the light fixture in my kitchen went out. I sent in a maintenance ticket and left a voice mail, and after a week I had had no response. Finally someone came in to fix it, and it worked for a day or two and then broke again, so I sent in another ticket which they simply closed without even contacting me, and, clearly, without reading it. In all it took 2 weeks to have light in my kitchen again. There is also no fitness center and to take your trash out you have to take it down to the parking level, which would not be a big deal except for the price that we are paying. The windows only open about 3-4 inches, so that in the summer it can get quite hot and stuffy. There are air conditioning exhausts in the bedroom should you choose to purchase your own AC unit, but they are only in the bedroom and not in the living rooms. For the winter, thermostats are idiotically placed right above the heating vents, so that the heat turns off way before the entire room is heated. If you keep the heat on constantly, it will eventually equilibriate, but this is a waste of energy and money. I have a friend in a less sunny apartment than my own whose home was so cold in the winter she had to sleep in multiple layers. There is a beautiful roof top area, but the appliances, which include grills and a gas fireplace, rarely work. I have used the grills a few times (the ignitors don't work, so you have to bring up your own lighter), but never seen the fire place work. It is a non-smoking building, but there are still smokers and the smell wafts into my bedroom regularly. I am second floor, south facing, in case this is the area you are looking to move in to, I can vouch that someone around there smokes. The stairwell doors slam, which, for me in the middle of the hall, is only a minor annoyance, but for people near the stairwell I can imagine it is excruciating. Their parking garage is more than half empty, but they still charge 100 / month (and I have heard others being charged 150/month, I don't know why it is unequal like that) to use it. A Subway moved into one of the vacant retail spots below the apartment buildings (which have not rented out after more than 2 years, perhaps explaining their need to hike up the rents) and so if you are on the south or east side of the building your apartment will always smell a little like Subway. Lastly, about 45 days before I was to move out, I went to the office in person and spoke with both the manager and her assistant about moving out no later than May 31st. I then sent a confirmation email a few weeks later, and they claimed that I had not done this and asked if I had "documentation," and so are charging me for a few extra days of rent since I, allegedly, had not given notice. When visiting the noble on Stoneway and 43rd in Wallingford, you look at the modern building and think wow, this looks amazing! A girl at the front desk shows you around the building including a movie room, a club room, and amazing rooftop deck with a gas open firepit, barbecues... Heat lamps... With all of these amenities and the great front desk entrance area and help, you decide to pay the $3000 a month! I lived here for year and 90% of the time the clubroom TV and the movie room TV did not work. 90% of the time, the heat lamps on the rooftop didn't work, the barbecues didn't work, and the front desk was closed off in during the day when it should've been open. My washing machine broke three times and I have two children. Two times the building offered roll a unit on the other side of the building to do my laundry for a week and a half. For some odd reason I thought this was helpful! But really, they were supposed to fix it or replace it. The third time, although I proved it was not my fault the machine broke, they charged me $110. The woman at the front desk made my children feel highly uncomfortable going in and out of the building because of her bad attitude. My children tried everything they could to make it a happy place including, putting up complement know it's in the elevator which tenants loved!! But everything was a failure due to the manager, Kim, who is always working whether she's in her office or not. I found out Kim was giving out free Internet passes to people she felt like giving them to him rather than people she should have given them to which would have been anyone! She helped people she liked and for the people she didn't care for she made every attempt she could to make their lives miserable. It shocks me that she is a property manager here because I have read reviews before about her specifically. Overall, the place is far too expensive, the amenities don't work, the property management does not work with you, the woman you have to see daily is a very unhappy and horrible person, and in the end you feel completely ripped off because you are. And one more thing, the underground parking and you can pay for? The gate is open all day long. There's zero security. What is that?? The property management should be ashamed of themselves. And I saw potential tenant after tenant come in and sign up...and move in... And it killed me.! read more

The Noble Apartments - The noble no security - Apartments Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I have been living at the Noble for four months. On the whole, a good building (with a couple of specific reservations) in a great location right in the heart of Wallingford. Pros: Great location, walking distance to Gasworks Park, Greenlake, QFC, Bartell, and countless restaurants and coffee shops. My apartment faces south and has a really great view of the city skyline and Mt. Rainier. Nice looking, large windows, lots of light, and very good use of space in my one-bedroom apartment. My particular unit has three good sized closets. W/D in unit, SS appliances, nice-sized bathroom, decent prep space in kitchen. There are three common areas: a nice rooftop deck with great view, a theater room and another community room. I've only used the roof deck. Pet-friendly -- virtually everyone here has cats and dogs -- and non-smoking. Parking and storage are available but you pay extra. Office is staffed 7 days a week, so there's someone here to accept your packages, which is nice (although the staff seems stretched at times, but it's gotten better since the building is mostly leased now). The sound-proofing is pretty good -- I never hear ANYTHING through the walls, and you don't hear street noise unless your windows are open. Cons: South-facing apartments get very hot. There is an A/C exhaust port in the bedroom of my unit (and apparently in all the units), but the bank of south-facing windows make the unit a greenhouse. Compounding this, only ONE of the MANY windows in the living/dining area can be opened. And that one window opens only about six inches, so you can't get a cross breeze. I had to purchase an A/C unit for the bedroom, which is fine, but even if I keep it going all day, and keep the windows open all night, only about half the bedroom gets cool. Worse, there is simply no way to cool the living area at all. There is no A/C exhaust port in the living room area. That, compounded with so many non-opening windows in the south-facing living room, make it unbearably hot in the summer (it's July now, but the "greenhouse effect" started in April). It rarely drops below 78 degrees in the living room/dining room/kitchen/bathroom, even early in the morning after leaving the one open-able window open all night. So, the only respite is the bedroom. This seems like a serious design flaw for a building that billed itself as offering "luxury" apartments. There is A/C in the hallways and common areas, and we pay our own utilities, so I am not sure why the builders didn't make it easier to cool the living areas of our homes by including more open-able windows and another A/C exhaust port. This is a pretty major area of discomfort. If you're a single person, you get one key (presumably couples get two keys). The keys are very high-tech. And you can't get a spare key. So, although I appreciate the security, it's difficult to arrange for pet-sitting if you're gone. If you're used to kenelling your dog(s) while you're gone, you might not mind this, but if you need a cat-sitter, or you've got a guest staying with you for a few days and you don't want to have to let them in and out of the building every time, it's going to be logistically challenging. Minor annoyances: There is no overhead light fixture in the bedroom. There are TWO, very close to each other, in the short hallway, but none in the bedroom. So you need lamps for the bedroom, which I have anyway, but the lack of an overhead light is odd. Paint colors are a little depressing -- walls are painted off white and doors, baseboards, etc. are institutional grey-beige. Smoke detector goes off Every. Single. Time. You. Use.The.Oven. Very annoying -- it's placed too close to the kitchen. I haven't burned anything once -- the smoke detectors just go off when you open the oven door, even for a few seconds. Overall, the convenience of this location in Wallingford plus the basic functionality of the apartment (other than the specific issues noted above) plus the fact that it's pet-friendly and non-smoking, make this a good spot for me for the time being, but probably not a building I want to live in long term. If you rent here, just do not get a south-facing unit; the view doesn't compensate for the discomfort of living in a hothouse. read more

Horrible design. With so many new apartments in Seattle, save your money and move to a different building. The units were apparently initially designed to include air conditioning (the temp gauges are on the walls). Well, probably to save money, they didn't put any in. This would be fine if the units actually had an adequate amount of windows that could be opened to let in fresh air and to set-up a fan. The units I was in had a single tiny window that could not be opened more than 45 degrees. The rest of the windows could not be opened. Also, there wasn't any space to actually put a fan in front of the window. This leads to situations were the temperature is over 90 degrees in the units during the summer. Last year, people had to leave their unit doors open to get some cool air from the air-conditioned hallway (why?) and not have their pets die of heat stroke. Apparently the management will now let you rent air conditioning units. Just a way to make more money out of a design flaw which they should have fixed to begin with. read more

I've rented a good amount in my life and have experienced the full spectrum in relation to property management and building. The Nobel has been one of the few excellent experiences I've had. Roger helped me find a unit that suited my needs and went above and beyond to get me settled in quickly. I'm always notified of new packages the day they arrive and find it easy to pay rent. My experience with The Noble has been completely hassle-free. Roger was a quick, helpful leasing agent, and he guided me through the reservation and application process very effectively.
