The minute I got home, I received an email from the staff saying I left my purse there and that they'd be happy to ship it back to me. Before I could respond, the owner sent a second email saying he was going to be in my city the following week visiting his daughter who lives there (turns out we lived 5 min apart) and he'd be happy to bring the purse with him so I didn't have to pay for the shipping cost. If that's not great customer service, I don't know what is!

As you walk down the palm tree lined passage from the ample FREE parking to the lobby, you become immersed in this Greek isle sanctuary. All of the staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room on the second floor was beautiful. Loved the bathroom with smart mirror for defogging, and the square rain fall shower head was luxurious. I enjoyed the outdoor lounge with fire pit, ping pong table, and "pedalitas" you can borrow. Next time I will bring my e-bike to enjoy the bike/walking trail right off the parking lot. The FREE breakfast was great, especially liked their coffee machine! Who needs Starbucks (across the street), when you can make your own cafe mocha or espresso, in their breakfast room. They used to have a "wine hour", but not any more-sad face. But you can buy your own wine and snacks at their snack shop, and enjoy it in their outdoor lounge. I will be back!

And also if you prepaid you won't get your money back." She seemed annoyed with me. She also said rudely, "you left the other room in shape so I can put someone else there?" I told her, I was in there for less than 10 minutes, and you shouldn't be putting anyone in that room unless they smoke cigarettes." She went and checked the room before she showed me to another room. The room she offered me was one for people with disabilities, also had no latch system and a door that opened to outside. I told her that as a woman staying alone, I'd like to be able to have a latch on the door. She said this is all she could offer me. I let her know that this was a horrible experience and that had I known they were going to give me these horrible rooms I would never have stayed here again. She just shrugged her shoulders and reminded me again that I wouldn't get a refund. She was rude and irritable.while she was helping me, someone stood in line behind me, she interrupted me and what she was doing and helped him before she would finish helping me, as if I was lower priority. Breakfast was good and they have good smelling toiletries, other than that the stay was a huge disappointment and I was treated like I was less then. I'm a travel nurse, and I definitely won't be recommending to my coworkers. Zico staff should be more polite to guests and please clean the rooms and get rid of the cigarette smell. It is offensive to non smokers. I will never be staying here again if I can help it. .

The sundry shop in the lobby has various snacks and drinks, but NO bottled water for sale. (WHY??) The front desk can offer you free room temperature bottled water, but all they have are those tiny 8oz bottles, which are worthless if you're really thirsty. I walked out to buy water in the neighborhood, but there is nothing close. The Chevron station across the street closes early. Even the fitness center had no bottled water, just a water dispenser that offered just a trickle of water. I had to fill a couple glasses of tap water and put it in the fridge to make it palatable. BRING YOUR OWN WATER!! (2) The shower products absolutely suck. After just one shower, my skin and scalp were dry and itchy. BRING YOUR OWN SHOWER PRODUCTS!! (3) I booked and paid in full for my stay in via booking.com. But of course, the hotel double-charged my credit card for the two night stay. So I had to spend time the next morning on the phone hashing that out. CHECK YOUR BILL UPON CHECKING OUT!! They do offer a pretty legit breakfast spread, however. So two stars for that. But there are plenty of better options in Palo Alto.

I wasn't on the chair more than maybe 10 to 15 minutes when I felt my back and my whole body feeling itchy... I called them up and this nasty man answered.. I asked him if I could get my money back. I was having a really bad allergy.. I told him I might even have to call the medics. He said good. Go call 911. We're not going to return your money!! . I had a awful night there. I was itching, the heater doesn't even fully work and there's cold air coming in all night long. It was just a terrible experience. These people have absolutely NO hospitality. They are so rude!! You won't find a lot of frills at Hotel Avante in Mountain View. But what you *can* expect is a…read moregood night's rest. That beats the alternative hands-down. The wife and I have stayed here twice now: once on the ground floor, and once on the 4th floor. Both times, our room was comfortable and noise was almost non-existent. No noise from neighbors or plumbing through the walls. Very little hallway noise. And just faint noise from busy El Camino Real through the closed window. Our rooms included a king bed, TV, desk, mini fridge, and a microwave. There's free WiFi and free parking. No breakfast, but complimentary coffee, juice, and fruit are available in the morning. The fitness center is somewhat limited, featuring a recumbent bike, Peloton, an elliptical, two treadmills, a bench, and free weights up to 25 lbs. The staff was friendly and cared about making our stay pleasant. Rates were reasonable, and we used the money we saved to splurge at the nearby Safeway. This was a great "home away from home" for our visits to the Bay Area!

Great price and it's in a good location close to basically everything. I was in town for the Ed Sheeran concert at Levi's and it was a 10 minute drive. I personally loved the goodwill and waffle place across the street and recommend both. Check in and out was a breeze. As was parking and the room was spotless. Also special shoutout to the night desk employee- JD. He was great. Fantastic customer service, very engaging and just so pleasant to talk too!! So if you're in the South Bay for anything I definitely recommend staying here.
