Awesome brewery in Endicott. I stumbled across this place a few years back when I was visiting the Binghamton area. I was very surprised and impressed to see a brewery in downtown Endicott I think when I had first visited that they were still brand spankin' new, but they already had good beers and a great atmosphere. Flash forward 4 years and I had the opportunity to return. Still the only brewery in town, but they've stepped up their game with some additional decor, an outdoor seating area on the sidewalk and digital menu boards. Oh, and they continue to produce great beer. Really liked how they're also canning their beet now too. On my last visit, I had the opportunity to chat with the owners for a little bit. The North Brewery is a very cool spot that is and was desperately needed in this part of Endicott. The beer is pretty good with a solid variety, and you get the feel that there's a lot of regulars there for good reason. The owners and bartenders came right up to introduce themselves and get to know us. They gave us some complimentary samples of beer from another brewery they love, which I've never seen, but appreciated. Overall, it's worth the trip, and I'm glad we were able to meet the guys who run it! read more

How did I forget to review this? I stopped by on September 23rd which I think was after their stout day or 'day of stouts'. The interior was smaller than many local breweries but still comfortable. The high point was their stout called Sno Klouds (coconut and vanilla beans) may have been one of the best beers that I have ever had, low point was two beers later trying the Taco Klouds which was a gimmicky mess because they just added taco seasoning to the base stout. If you happen to be there when the owners are their or when a bartender feels like being nice you have the option of buying a bottled beer and having it on premises, sometimes it can be something a bit more rare. I enjoyed two different variations of a barrel aged stout, one being a russian imperial and the other having an adjunct and both were very good. Don't expect beers here to be traditional or holding to any laid out style, they feel free to experiment and do have their successes. read more

The North Brewery has such hard working brewers and well brewed beers! I had a tasting of their 5 beers for $4, which is quite a steal for the great quality drinks. My favorite was their pale ale, but I really enjoyed all of the tastings. The brewery was surprisingly very crowded when I visited at 4pm on a Friday, so there wasn't room at the bar. I wish there was additional seating to accommodate their guests. Anyway, make sure to get there early and bring your growler! read more

A great place for people who love beer. Have a tasting, a pint, or get growlers of the 5, quickly rotating beers on tap. The flavors are always changing and frequently unique - their award winning stout, God Complex, is a hazelnut stout with habaneros. read more

Very very nice spot with a knowledgeable and helpful bartender who helped educate me. I had the barley wine and I have to tell you it was the best barley wine beer I've ever had. Great smoothness and packed with flavor. I also live bourbon barrel aged beers and the one they had was awesome. The only drawback is street parking only. read more

The North Brewery offers a nice selection of craft beers and homebrew supplies. We went for the grand opening this weekend and the father / son team was friendly and informative. We tasted 5 beers: Watership Down (for the ginger lovers), Ginger Girl, Was a Real Bitter, Not a Real Bitter (my favorite), and Cerbrus Hellfire (a real nice chocolate oatmeal milk stout). They offer growlers and "growlettes," no bottles as of yet. Worth the visit for sure. read more

Bar none, best stouts in all of NY, and some of the best IPAs. With that said, they do a bunch of other wild stuff (scotch ales, wits, sours, etc) that I probably just can't appreciate enough to love. This place is going to be big, a serious brewery. Awesome, must try. read more

Nice to see such a small 'nano' brewery make a go of it locally. Father/son team making beer in a combo brew-shop / tasting room / brewery. Went there once to get some growlers. Tried all the varieties currently on tap and liked them all. The beers were well made and tasty. Both of the owners were there and very friendly. Incredibly devoted owner. New brews on tap every week. This isn't a conventional bar with stools, booths and a kitchen. There's a standing counter, typically two of the employees talking and serving beer, and kegs/bags of hops every where. $4 for a tasting of the 5 brews of the week (tasting is free if you buy a growler/growlette). They rotate the brews each week with new stuff they make in house. They even occasionally have cans/bottles of homebrew that patrons bring in that they made themselves and let everyone else try out. They've been here 3(?) years but they're so low-key I never knew. read more

Revenge of the Stouts event today - 5 stouts all amazing! Always interesting folks here and diverse in terms of age. A longer bar than the last time I've was here- years ago, but still lacking comfortable places to sit. It ain't Galaxy Brewing but at least it knows how to concentrate on one product - beer!! read more

Great place. Awesome beer. We stop here occasionally mostly in the winter. Only things that would make it better would be food and a radio.

This place is just OK. It's in a not-so-nice commercial area of Endicott. No food, no place to sit, mismatched ceiling and floors, not much lighting, looks kind of messy with boxes and junk all over the place. Beers were just so-so. Their stout was the best. They had two IPAs that were ok, not great. The other ones were a wit with lime, which just tasted like a sour, and some sort of saison which also tasted sour. There was almost no information about the beers other than some very tersely-written signs over the taps. Bartender was nice enough but offered no information about the beers. I thought all of the beers were too warm, and my wife agreed. I brought my growler in but none of the beers were compelling enough to warrant a fill. All in all, a little disappointing! read more

pretty cool little brewery out in endicott. it reminds me of the old ithaca brewery before they got really big. friendly people and good beer, worth a visit for sure! better than the beers i've had from Water Street read more

This brewery has by far the most unique and, in my opinion, the best craft beers of any of the four breweries currently present in Broome County. I would strongly recommend it for anyone looking to try new, less conventional beers. Despite being relatively small in size and having no formal bar it is the best I've come across locally. read more
