This store has all kind of stuff. Such a nice variety of things. We live in Austin so we don't get to see the ski stuff and really cool jackets and hats often. My rating has nothing to do with their clothing. I love the quality of the clothes. What really makes me angry in stores like this is that because I guess I give off the college-student-who-can't-buy-anything vibe, I get completely ignored. I didn't get a smile or anything from a single employee until I went to the register to make my purchase then all of the sudden it was smiles and friendly chit chat. Update on this one the, the RSM/DSM did reach out to me and conveyed they would allow me to exchange the items for whatever they were ringing up at for store credit. This is what I was asking for originally. The store reps claimed a miscommunication when speaking with their RSM however there was no miscommunication on my visit only bad customer service, they were very clear. On my 2nd trip back in after the RSM set them straight it was uneventful and the young man at the counter was simple and easy to deal with as it should have been from go. I'd recommend going to REI to get your North Face gear just based on their return policy. I returned a 3 month old coat to this store due to the zipper not working properly. Instead of just replacing it as REI would have, they are mailing it somewhere to see if t can be fixed. I'll have my jacket back in 6 weeks. 6 weeks?!? At REI I would have a new coat in 6 minutes. read more

Recently went into the store 8/22/19 I had seen shoes online hoping to find them in the store which I did however as I walked into the store a young gentleman who worked there just looked at me and walked right by with zero acknowledgement in addition I had every intention on buying the shoes but was never approached or asked if I needed help it was obvious I was there for shoes but after several minutes I just walked out only to notice employees more worried about display setup rather than a customer how unfortunate considering I love the brand but wow serious lack in customer service. read more

Not only did I find what I had been searching for over a year for, but I have added another 6 things I can't live without and will be back for! Who cares about customer service when it comes to getting the items you want when you want them. I stopped in here recently on my way to schweitzer. They had an incredible amount of inventory ( better than the REI I went to In Spokane). Prices are identical to online and they have some great people working there. Hate to leave a bad review but in this case I got to. My Grandma came in an purchased a coat for my birthday in October. The coat purchased was a XXL and I am not that big so I wanted to exchange the coat since it was $199 jacket and my grandma spent good money to make me happy. My grandma searched everywhere for the receipt to exchange the jacket with no luck. I spoke to three people over the phone about doing an exchange for a coat with tags minus the receipt. All the folks I spoke with talked to there manager and said it would be ok the reason behind the multiple calls is it took me a day or so to make it to Spokane to do the exchange at the store my grandma purchased from. Upon arriving the employee I dealt with was nice and willing to assist. He ran back to the office to have the item checked for exchange and was approved then the manager Stacy spoke up requesting him to go back again to check. He did once again okay to go. She then proceeded to stop her transaction to inspect my coat with tags still on it and tell me that it was 3 years old. I was baffled and laughed asking really? How can you even tell that? She replied insider info... I did not like the answer since I no longer live in Spokane and drove an hour to do an exchange that was already approved then to be told my grandma must have lied about when she purchased it and has had it for 3 years! I felt disrespected and embarrassed that she wasn't even empathetic about the inconvenience of being told one thing and having another happen. I hope to never have to deal with the manager again and was thrilled to be able to drive to Dicks Sporting goods and have them exchange my coat and give me even a discount on the jacket so I had an extra $50 on top of it. I even explained what had happened and that I was told the jacket was three years old? She ran it in her system said I'm not sure how they got three years old this exact coat is on the direct north face website still available as well as dicks but that the particular finish to that coat wasn't in store for purchase. A week has gone by and I'm happy it's all behind me but to top it off my grandma mailed me the receipt and sure enough it was purchased at the north face downtown Spokane with the date 10/25/2018. I imagine this review may get some laughs by the employee who did not want to assist but I hope it's a wake up call rather. Customer service goes along way and because the lack of service i was given that day I came in I personally along with my family will not shop direct through this location. Management working on 04/02 around 5:00 PM was very poor. I came in to do a return on a pair of pants that had only been worn once and threading had come loose on it (reason for return). The floor supervisor who was a middle aged lady came over and started raising her voice saying "excuse me you can't do that" as if I'm trying to pull a fast one on them. She raised her voice, talked over me, and wouldn't let me explain my side of the story. I had to talk over her just to get my side of the story out. This supervisor had zero customer service skills. I have spent well over $2,000 here in the past year as north face is most of my wardrobe and they have lost me as a customer after this. If you want north face just shop online and not this store. Eventually they told me I could send it to north face and see if warranty covers it but that may take 4-6 weeks and that's even if warranty covers it. Shop at other places downtown like Nike where they have good customer service and staff that are effective communicators. read more

We went to the store Monday 11/16 around four in the afternoon. I almost never do reviews but I feel I need to with this one. This was one of the strangest and worst example of customer service I have seen in a long time. Showed up to a locked door. The staff saw us but just ignored us. We called and they came and let us in. From what I could see there was at least 5 staff in the store doing the best they could to ignore us. It was obvious they didn't want us there. They never came to check on us. My son who works retail noticed there was no background music. Not a big deal but didn't help. As we were looking at merchandise near the front door many people tried to come into a locked door only to get ignored by the staff. I have no intention of ever going back. I will go to REI where the customer service that day was fantastic. If you want North Face stuff I encourage you to go somewhere else. read more

In answer to the February review, everyone's experience is different. Everyone's sizes are different. Maybe our sizes were more common, therefore less of them in-stock. I got my coat--finally; however, I had to "downsize" what I wanted in terms of style and amount of down in order to receive one at all. I still love the product. read more

It came from an outlet store as we didn't have enough stock to open with so we got some old stuff" "You could go on-line and try to find one........" It is disappointing that the clothes North Face sells do not appear to represent the actual life style nor "fit" of the athletes in their advertising photos. I am a 5' 9" 165lb male and a S/P North Face jacket literally drowns me! I cannot imagine what a Medium/Large or XL jacket would look like on someone my size!! A walrus could hide in a North Face XL. Disappointing because I love the looks of their products. Their advertising photos show athletically fit runners/bikers/hikers and skiers but not one of their Small or S/P jackets fits comfortably. read more

Great quality for the price! (but most people already know that) What's really great about this store in Spokane in particular, is the customer service. The second you walk in the door, you are greeted and asked how's your day going? And what brings you in? Anything I can help you find?....And they don't do this in a pushy way. If you say you just want to browse, they will leave you alone, unlike other stores where they follow you around and try to sell you everything in the store. Everyone that I have encountered at this store is so friendly, especially Justin. He always has a smile on his face and is incredibly knowledgable about all the products. He really helps make you feel like no matter what you buy, you're making an investment that you won't be disappointed in, and I have not been disappointed with any of my North Face gear. I own a couple jackets and some workout gear by the company, and the quality doesn't go away with time. read more
