Came here for a birthday treat to myself and had Ana as my massage therapist. The ladies at the front desk were lovely and sparked conversations with me. Ana was super sweet and we did a short consultation. I did the Healer and it was different. She went the first 10 mins with the focus on breath work and energy balancing I think is what she called it. The massage was awesome. I definitely was so relaxed I fell asleep for about half of it. Jack spent about 10 minutes with me getting some history on my concerns and establishing what my best options were. We did 50 minutes, concentrating exclusively on my shoulders and rotator cuff. Prior to going in I had trouble extending my arm and getting a shirt pulled over my head. As I was leaving the therapy session, I was able to pull my shirt on with much greater range of motion. They called me back after 7pm however my massage was over at exact 7:50pm, which means I did not get full 50 mins for the price point. When the masseuse left out I looked at clock it was 7:51. Let me begin with saying When I wanted to book appointment with my membership they would pick up the phone right away and book my appointment. I was monthly Member but due to family/work commitment I wasn't able to use my monthly service hence I missed making appointments. Anna's massage was very good. The place itself is lacking in ambience. There is a tranquil area to wait before your massage. When they take you back to your room. It's not a room, just curtains hung separating people. I could hear the person next to me snoring during my massage, it was very distracting and not relaxing at all. I had my 1st massage session a month ago. I did not like the way how they charge for the session and an additional $15 bc it was a deep tissue. Typically, all the massage places I've been to in the past, showed their prices and type for the session. However, the additional price really took me by surprise since it was already $110 for the massage for just 50 mins. The additional $15 for deep tissue when it was just okay, not really deep tissue that I've had many years, made me question my choice of this place. I still tipped 20% as a decent person. Right as I got there Telma was very welcoming, I got offered lemon water as I waited since I arrived a little early to my appointmet. The check in process was really easy! The ambiance is incredible throughout, the lobby decorations are beautiful and as soon as you step into the massage area it feels as you're entering another realm, I immediately felt relaxed. I walked in with pain in my neck and walked out with it completely gone! She also does a great job with hands which is very important for me! I recently paused my membership because they don't enforce a mask policy for Covid and can't recommend or confirm if therapists and staff are vaccinated. After hearing about the hype behind "The NOW" from all their California locations, I was pleasantly surprised to hear there'd be one opening up in Ashburn! I had an amazing 50 minute "The Now" massage (their version of a swedish massage) thanks to Shawn, who applied just the right amount of pressure and was able to skillfully find all of my trouble areas. I was also impressed with his draping technique (you'd be surprised by how little attention some masseurs put into this but I think it makes a huge difference to your overall comfort and massage experience). They sent me out with a bottle of cold pressed juice too, which was the perfect cherry on top. All in all, would definitely recommend!
