I don't know how this place has a 4+ rating. Since I started coming here in the last year, I have had 50% of my scheduled massages cancelled at the last minute. Including just now. On top of that, only one of the masseuses has done a good job, they never start on time, but they definitely end on time. So zero have actually run the amount of time I am paying for. If you want a good massage, that you can count on actually happening as scheduled, find another place. read more

I live in the area and heard great things about Elements Massage. I decided to give it a try since I saw they had Lymphatic Drainage massage. I was curious about the prices and promos so I called to book my appointment. They had a special for first time clients starting at $89 for any massage for 60 minutes. I booked and came in for my service a few days later. They are located in a strip mall and there is plenty of parking. You check in at the front desk and wait to be seen. My massage therapist was welcoming and kind. She explained to me how the massage I wanted worked and made some suggestions, which were perfect! I enjoyed my massage so much, I joined their monthly membership. I was told I can get a massage per month, each monthly payment secures a massage, if I don't use they roll over, if I can't make it I can gift them to another person. The only concern I had was the overall explanation of the membership. There was also no receipt with any further information. I would at least think an email letting me know what I signed up for would be nice. I called the next day and a nice young man explained everything to me. In addition to my monthly payment when I come in for my massage I would have to pay an additional $20 for my master therapist (no extra fee if using a therapist who is not a master level). So it's not just an $89 service it's $109 plus any extras like aromatherapy, hot or salt stones, etc. This info would have been good to know before I committed to the membership. I love this place! From the moment you walk in, it's calming and quiet. Ayla, at the front, and the others are always ready with smiles and are very helpful! It is a clean and relaxing environment. I have been going for almost a year now and every masseuse has been professional and great. I have been seeing Bri for the last few months and I love how she targets my worst knots while working over the whole body. She can really put the pressure on where it's wanted and needed. It's a great place to get worked on. Each therapist has their own style and there's always at least one who will be a good fit. However, this review is more for prospective therapists. Good deep tissue massage. He wasn't really into it. Think he used his elbow on my back most of the time. Also I was 10 minutes late, called ahead to ensure I wouldn't miss the whole massage or I could reschedule . Was surprised to see that my massage was only 45 minutes. Update: After leaving my previous review, the spa surprised me by reaching out to me and offering me a free massage with a different therapist. So, I went back and gave them a second chance. I can tell you that it was a night and day difference. First of all, Gia was so kind and professional. She put me at ease immediately. I could tell she was very attune to where I needed attention the most and it was really relaxing. The pressure she used really worked out the tightness I had. I walked out of there feeling like a new person. It definitely matters who you get and I 100% recommend Gia if you decide to give this place a try. Being someone who regularly gets massages I take them very seriously as part of my therapy to relieve soreness, pain, tightness & injuries brought from routine training and competition. I've had the pleasure to get several different massages from the therapists here at Elements and I have always left the studio feeling relieved and revived. The staff is extremely welcoming & polite and once my massage is complete I'm always given a complementary bottle of water. I have had a membership here for the past four months if not longer. Every time I call to schedule I am put on hold, and never get spoken with. I have emailed to cancel my membership and called multiple times. I did not receive any paperwork or responses to cancel my paid membership for two months. When I finally received the paperwork I had already been charged twice since my original request to cancel. After sending my paperwork to cancel I was then charged again, because I did not submit it that day. The massages here are mediocre, the only therapist worth seeing is Talia. The service here is abysmal, from the front desk to the management and I absolutely recommend any other spa. read more

This was my first massage at forty-something. I was very nervous and unsure. Immediately upon entering the office, I was made to feel welcome and had my many questions answered for me. My masseuse, Kelsey, took time to discuss my reasons for being there, areas that bothered me and what to expect. It felt wonderful. Very quickly, I felt comfortable and serene. I opted for a scent, eucalyptus, and the sachet on the headrest was perfect. Kelsey checked in with me regarding the level of pressure and comfort. She was gentle, yet strong in the problem areas and it was perfect. When I left, the knots in my shoulders and the strains on my back were relieved and I felt like a new person! It was amazing. Kelsey also gave me a couple small and super easy strengthening exercises that I could do throughout the work day to help my muscles. This was an ok massage I felt that my massage therapist didn't seem super into doing the massage and there was not enough lotion used so I felt dry most of the time during the massage so my therapist couldn't glide through the massage instead my skin was pulling and feeling close to rug burn at times . Very disappointed with my experience. I made an appointment online and agreed with their cancellation policy. As I pulled into the parking lot 15 min. Prior to my appointment, I received a phone call letting me know my therapist had a family emergency and needed to reschedule. Ok, I get it family emergencies happen. However, when I asked what their policy was for a last minute cancellation from the therapist, I was told nothing can be done. When I asked when I could reschedule my appointment they are available 3 days later. Thanks, but not thanks. I was sooooo looking forward to that massage. Bummer. read more

I got my wife two sessions for Valentine's Day. While I was reviewing the offered packages, I was greeted by the Owner who provided me in depth information on their services and customer satisfaction. My wife went to the two sessions and said it is without a doubt the best message she has received. The therapist was accomodating to her identified problem areas and took extreme care in many areas. She also provided my wife with a thorough explanation on what she could do to alleviate stress and recommended steps for better physical care. My wife wants to go back. My husband got me gift certificates here for Christmas for my back. I have gone a few times now and I am really happy with the service I have received. My massages really help to work out all the tension in my back and leave me feeling relaxed. In my opinion, this is a great place to come and get therapeutic massages that are great quality are a great price without all the unessential frills of other spa (ie: plush robes and relaxation rooms). Sylvia is amazing and really good at her job. You can tell she understands the human body and knows how to address your concerns of tightness, soreness, or knots. That being said, if you are looking for that over the top luxury of expensive spas, this may not be your cup of tea. The noise from the Jimmy Johns next door is audible through the walls in the rooms on the left side and could be a little distracting if you are just trying to zone out- I was still able to fall asleep with it haha. But that is far from keeping me from coming back. The staff at the reception desk are always happy and welcoming. They are really great to work with. I have never had to wait in the lobby more then a few moments after checking in and every appointment has started right on time. Definitely worth a try to see if you like it! read more

When I walked in the receptionist told me that Karen and herself had left numerous messages for me regarding the need for a "doctor's approval". Checked out Elements based upon a friend recommendation. I've had a few massages before, usually at spas or on vacations and, while they were good, I wasn't a fan of paying for robes and slippers and spending 1/2 hour sipping ice water with lemons before the actual massage. Elements was awesome. Friendly clean place and an excellent massage without the useless excess that you will find at a typical spa. The therapists ask specific questions about what you want and provide recommendations for future visits. And don't worry about them pushing you to sign up for a monthly memebership. Sure, they will ask and provide you with the benefits, but if it's not for you they will gladly book you for an appointment even if you are not a member. I have seen just about every therapist and they are all very good, but hands down, Chrisee is my favorite. She is super hard to get an appointment with so I have to book early but so worth it. I had been a regular and loyal customer of this establishment and so far was very pleased with all the prenatal massages I had been receiving but this month, the experience went down hill. I had called on July 2nd to cancel my membership for august onwards as my due date was approaching and I was told, it's all taken care of and I just need to fill a form on July 7 (my next visit for massage). On July 7th I was told, since I defaulted on 30 days cancellation policy, I will have to continue to pay for another month. I was little upset but said ok to that and filled the form, had my massage, booked another appointment for July 20th and returned home. Then on July 10th, I noticed that my credit card was charged twice for the month of July, first charge on jul 3rd and another on 10th. I thought this was in error so I tried reaching the establishment and got no response so I called my credit card company and questioned the duplicate charge to which they processed a refund and said will work with the massage center directly. Fast forward to 7/17, I received an email from the owner stating - " I am writing today to let you know that we need to cancel the appointment you had for this coming Friday 7/20 @ 5:30pm with Elements Massage Ashburn. We received notice from your Credit Card Company that you canceled the final payment to your account. Unfortunately, given the circumstancs we will be unable to accommodate you. If there is an error on our side please let me know via email. Sincerely, Jim Pallotta Owner, Elements Massage Ashburn" I immediately responded to the email and explained why this situation presented itself and it was clear case of miscommunication and confusion, had the staff told me to expect to see a another charge in July due to cancellation of the wellness program and not in August I would have been mentally prepared. After a few emails and back n forth, I told him to recharge the credit card and rebook me for the 20th but to my astonishment he outright refused to provide service to me on an ongoing basis. I called him directly to which he responded by saying that he's busy in a meeting and email is the best way to reach him. I wrote another email to which I still have not received a response to, but it is very clear that he has decided to not service me anymore. Well there are definitely other places I can go and get prenatal massages, it's just the bad treatment and discrimination that has bothered me! read more

What can I say about elements? For starters, you will walk in to be greeted by some of the nicest and friendliest people in all of ashburn. Then you will be promptly taken into the studio with your therapist. My session with Rebecca was my first professional massage ever and it could not have gone better. She asked me a few questions and made sure I was completely comfortable before I got on her table. I have been going to Elements regularly for one year. I am always greeted with a smile and friendly person at the desk. They have various specialties and I see two of the therapists regularly. Both are outstanding and are very thorough. I am asked if there is anything that was missed or any place i wish to have re-visited before moving on to the next area. They put you at ease and are very professional. I have had a few conversations with the owner and he is a good guy. Family man, kids in sports, etc. I began to get massages when I began to work out at the gym, hoping to avoid injuries. I have received a ton of great advise on how to tailor my gym workouts and avoid the trouble areas (i.e., lower back, hamstrings, etc.) and this had been quite helpful. I know that after my massage, I can put both hands flat on the floor with my knees locked. Before the massage, I am just able to touch my toes. It makes that much of a difference. I have not had an injury and have been hitting the gym pretty hard and contribute my lack of injury to my regular visits to Elements. 5 stars, without doubt. read more

Now, at the end of a fantastic massage experience, I am thinking "aah, I will be back soon" instead of "oh no, it's almost over". The therapist I have chosen is wonderful. When she is unavailable because of my schedule, I have found an alternate who is great. The owner, Jim, is so willing to work with you and advise. He is an involved owner. Over the years I have tried my fair share of massage therapists. Enkey, however, was by-far the best and most relaxing massage I've ever had!! With everything going on with COVID-19, I haven't been keen on going out, but my stress level has been high, leaving my body tense and uncomfortable. Before COVID I would use massage therapy and cupping as part of my health and wellness routine to help manage these things. Recently I had a friend recommend Elements From the moment I arrived I noticed how courteous all the staff is and all the little attention to details they have- like mouthwash in the bathroom (which is a huge bonus among people like me). My therapist was FANTASTIC. She not only paid attention to what I wrote on my new person intake form but also customized a massage that would help fit my needs. I went specifically to Elements because they offer cupping - and it was so masterfully done it was almost like I had been a long-time member because she just knew what my body needed. I also want to touch on the fact that they did a great job following their COVID safety protocols. I have been to many massage places, and this time I had decided to try a new place based on the reviews that Elelments massage had and that it's nearby my house. I am expecting and I had a prenatal massage. When booking the session I asked if they had belly pillows, that I could get a back massage, so wouldn't need to be laying on my side, what they confirmed. I had my appointment booked at 2pm, but no one told me to arrive earlier to fill up paper work and that the time would be "discounted" from my massage time. Elements Massage does not provide warm towels, neither warm oil massage (oil was very cold), I was never asked if the pressure was good enough or too strong, and I was very surprise with that I had to lay on my side for the massage with a keg pillow, since they didn't provide belly pillow for prenatal massage, even tho I asked about it when booking my appointment. And by 3pm sharp my appointment was over, what was very disappointing. I would not go back to Elements massage, but if you don't mind any of these, it may be an okay place to get a massage there. read more
