He's especially great with stretching and working out all the tension that builds up from being hunched over a computer all day. I have been going to this location for a number of months and got the membership. The service was fine, good selection of message therapists and availability. Not the best I have ever been to, but fairly good. I decided to cancel my membership. My complaint is that the membership cancellation is not hassle free. You cannot cancel online. When you call to cancel they ask for an explanation (which is none of their business). They actually send you forms that you have to fill out and sign, which is completely stupid. Then they require 30 days notice, so you are atleast paying for one more visit any time you call. Also, there are expensive add-ons. They consider deep tissue an add-on, but that is really just a type of massage and the tipping expectation is high. For an $80 50-min massage, I end up paying $125 or so. read more

This was a quickie. In, massage, out. Bear with me for a moment. Now maybe my expectations are just too high. I was stressed and really looking forward to a soothing, relaxing spa experience. But now I realize the difference between a spa and a massage experience. Arrived. Lobby is small and unassuming. I was checked in by a nice gentleman, friendly. I waited just a few moments for my masseuse. I was taken to the back after a brief conversation about what I wanted. You have to fill out a form before arriving where I indicated that I had a shoulder issue. After I prepared myself for the massage, he came back in and started right away. It was rough and a bit unsettling. I expected slow movements. I found it hard to relax because of the speed and force. I should have said something honestly but I was hoping it got better. It didn't but he did hit all my knots and I could feel the tension leaving. It wasn't a bad massage, it just wasn't the best. I could tell he hadn't looked at the form because he kept trying to extend my shoulder until I told him that I had an issue. He did a thorough job but it was just too many fast jarring movements. If I did return, I would request a different masseuse. For a few dollars more I could have had a spa experience. I like rooms and robes and this was more like get them in and get them out. read more

I want to give 5 stars to Stacey as a therapist-she is just phenomenal. From what I have gathered, most of the therapists have wonderful reviews. This is not reflective of her or her skill in any way. This is more to alert others to read literally everything in detail and pay close attention. This was my first time using any type of massage membership. There is a totally separate terms of service link that I did not even realize was there until after I cancelled, and no one brought it to my attention at any time when I asked questions-of course. It is NOT the same as TERM on the actual contract which makes it cryptic. There was a button to 'cancel' online, but it won't allow you to and forces you to call. Despite calling, I couldn't get anyone on the phone, and I'm not a proponent of all the back and forth with my work schedule, so I emailed and texted. It took weeks for a response in some cases. During the time I was waiting for the response to cancellation, I had no idea I was already on a time clock. I was told I had 90 days to use my credits, and when I asked for clarification around that, I got nothing. They backdated my cancellation to my original message from weeks ago and charged me for the full month which racked up more credits to try and use within 90 days. I ended up missing an appt because a family member went on hospice (my family was the bigger priority anyway). I did ask them to apologize to Stacey on my behalf as it was not intentional. Instead of simply taking a credit and charging me the $40 difference, I was automatically charged an additional full $120. I asked about this, and never got a response. When the '30 days' after cancellation pass, the menu looks different in the website account, and you have to book the credits you purchased with a $40 difference. I assume because you are 'no longer a member', however, these were services purchased while a member, so it is a bit shoddy. I don't know what changed, maybe it was because I cancelled the membership, but the customer service really seemed to go down hill quickly. I asked the lady at desk why my menu looked different on the website to schedule, and she didn't know. She said 'just book as a non-member, it won't charge you'. Later going to book I saw an additional $40 being added for the 'difference', I sent an email asking about it. Instead of responding there, I ended up with a voicemail with no information and to call back to 'get help with that'. When I called, again no one answered, and I left a voicemail asking to please respond to the email, and so far-nothing again. Feels like a tactic just to draw out your time and try to get more money honestly. I had heard about this kind stuff w/ massage places years ago, but it didn't even dawn on me when I first signed up. I had planned to continue to use their services when needed once I used all my credits, but I honestly don't even want to go back now. I don't have the energy for all this. In hindsight, I should've just supported small business, as usual. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I have been searching for a place to get monthly massages for a while now. My neurologist recommends I have them monthly. This place is beautiful. From the ambience, to the smells, to the sounds of waves crashing as you're being massaged. Everything was wonderful and I would recommend you give them a try. However, I signed up for a monthly membership in January. First payment was in person with no issues. But the second February payment that was drafted from my account, hit twice. I was double charged. When I called to see what happened, I was told that even though I'm on a monthly plan, the person who scheduled my second appointment put it in a few days shy of when my draft was scheduled to hit for the month and for that reason, they charged me for an extra service plus went ahead and billed me for the month. If none of this makes sense to you, imagine how I feel. My warning is to is verified what you're being charged for. Make sure they are NOT booking your appointment prior to your established bank draft date. If you avoid all of this confusion, you should enjoy your massage here. Good luck. read more

Although I understand and appreciate the therapist not coming in if they are not feeling well, I believe that finding this out 30 minutes prior to my appointment time is completely unprofessional. I want to start by saying that my favorite go to spas are Korean Spas, located in DC and LA. This, please note that I understand this experience would be slightly different. Upon entry, the front desk was pleasant and someone appeared to be in-training. During the bulk of my time, I could hear the person next to me sneezing and coughing. Only a thin curtain separates the massage tables, white noise machines are in use. But you can hear everything going on next to you. I purchased an 80 ($145~) min service. This was not relaxing. The door opening and closing, to members in the other area and their "sounds". Perhaps I am more sensitive to sound that others. Further, the oils used left a greasy sticky residue. This has never been an issue with any massage, so I wonder if it was the quality of oil used. Since La Therapie in Cary closed, I've been looking for a new massage spa closer to home , but I won't be back unfortunately. Also appears that the masseuse(s) are contracted as no one at the front desk knew her name. It was quite an odd ordeal. read more

I was lucky enough to get an appointment at The Now's Brier Creek location. Let's start with the ambiance, the smell from their signature candle hits you with a nice subtle lavender smell as soon as you walk in. Everything from the chairs they have to sit in while you wait to the immaculate modern bathrooms were just the right touch. The greeting from the staff was cheerful and welcoming. I got a deep tissue massage with the calming hemp lotion. And ... the most important part I got Ellie. She was INCREDIBLE. I don't find a lot of people that can hit the stuff I need. But she did.
