    Brie, egg, and spinach sandwich
    Alex M.

Looking for a brunch spot that served substantial food and wasn't too fancy, my friends and I discovered Carmel Belle via Google search. The cafe is tucked away in a cute indoor shopping arcade next to other artsy boutiques. There were plenty of tables, even at peak Sunday brunch hour, and there was also fire pit for chilly mornings. The menu looked reliable - a variety of breakfast sandwiches, eggs served every which way, and even polenta bowls. While generally not a huge fan of breakfast sandwiches, I decided to try the poached egg on ciabatta with brie and spinach. After ordering, my sandwich was prepared in under 10 minutes. Upon the first bite, I rediscovered my appreciation for a good breakfast sandwich. I'd never had Brie with eggs before, and the Brie paired surprisingly well with the gooey poached egg and sautéed spinach. The freshly toasted ciabatta held its own against the creamy cheese and runny egg yolk. I think the sandwich could have been enhanced with a sweet element such as a layer of fruit preserves (which pair so well with Brie). While there are many tempting breakfast and brunch spots in Carmel, I'd definitely consider returning to Carmel Belle.

this is my second time at this small restaurant/café. The first time I was here for breakfast and today, I am here for lunch. I ordered a café latte with their homemade oat milk and a chicken, apples and brie sandwich. My husband had a Cobb salad. The food is wholesome and tasty. The ingredients are fresh. They also have some incredible pastries. Highly recommended. this would be a great place for ordering some sandwiches and pastries to go to enjoy while having a picnic in point Lobos or any of the other state parks where you can go for hikes or to the beach. Highly recommended if you're looking for fresh and wholesome pastries, salads or sandwiches

This is a nice place to get some food or a coffee drink or Italian soda and just sit for a bit. The servers were kind and helpful. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. If you just want coffee, you can go to the coffee counter instead of the food counter. There is a restroom, which often seems to have a line. If you don't feel patient for that, there are other public restrooms within a few blocks of the place just google them.

Inside, open seating area and fireplace

I didn't eat here but five stars for the golden latte and the comfy chair next to an open fireplace. Their golden latte has no caffeine but is super spicy and a perfect treat if you love ginger. There are also a few little shops in the complex that are great for browsing. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Cute casual space. It's located inside a larger establishment, with open seating in front of where ordering happens. Service was prompt, and many items on their menu sounded intriguing. The food was alright. I liked how a salad was included with the sandwiches, and their pickles were yummy. The sandwiches themselves were pretty average.

This open seating eating area was really good. They had delicious bowls and fresh water in mason jars. They give you a number and bring your food to the table. My dish was absolutely delicious! You put your dirty dishes in a bin to lbe picked up when you are done eating. It is food court style.

Carmel Belle is a casual counter-service cafe nestled inside the courtyard of a shopping center. It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner at one counter and a juice, smoothie, coffee, and pastries bar at a smaller counter. Plenty of seating! I enjoyed the Johnny Cashew smoothie (subbed out banana for pear), which was delightfully nutty, perfectly slightly sweet, and packed with cashews, spinach, pear, dates, almond milk, and cocoa powder for a hint of chocolate.

Came here 3 times while visiting Carmel and Big Sur. Best SALADS ever!! And I'm not a big salad person. The golden latte is to die for! One morning I added an espresso shot to it. It is such a fun place. Very much a place you can come people watch and lounge by the fireplace. Highly recommend!!! Especially if you want a more casual experience than a fancy Carmel sit down $$$$. Highly recommend. !!

We had a quick lunch at this place. The food was great, and the bathrooms were clean. There are a few shops surrounding the tables that can be explored. The coffee takes a long time to come through. The food is simple and very nice.

Exceptional Charcuterie Board (sorry, we dug in before remembering to take the pic)

After decades of coming to Carmel, I don't know how we've not stumbled across the Belle before, but glad we did this time. We were just looking for a quick bite to eat while walking around and ended up having one of the best Charcuterie Board's we've ever had; and the price was very good considering the high quality and quantity of food. The meats and cheeses were exceptional, and the portions were generous. The server apologized that he dropped a piece of toast on the way to our table and would come back with more. He came back with two slices of a very, very good Sourdough that was essentially an upgrade from the slices of garlic toast that came with the board. He also added a raspberry jam that paired nicely with the Brie. They have a nice selection of other foods and soups that looked very good, and a nice selection of wines by the glass.

Friendly service and I enjoy that they have a fireplace inside which makes the atmosphere super cozy. I tried the grilled salmon and the potatoes were delicious especially with the sour cream and chives which added such a yummy flair. The tuna melt was super good and this place is perfect for a quick bite or hearty meal, they have so many options ranging from brunch, salad, soups, sandwiches, coffee, fresh pressed juices, etc!

We came in here at the start of our day to get some grub and explore Carmel a bit. The area is super cute and fun to check out. There was a short line and the place was pretty crowded. The staff were working hard to get orders out, and attention was given handily. That said, I think we were both a bit underwhelmed by our breakfasts. We never expect much from gluten free bread (it's nice they even offer it), but my burrito was also like take-it-or-leave-it. I only ate half which means I wasn't consumed by it (haha see what I did there). The prices are eh what you'd expect for the area. I can't remember, something weird about bathroom access at the time? Which sucks. Oh well. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but I don't regret coming here.

    Awesome Latte!

Great service..kind and patient staff. Oatmeal with fruit was fresh hot and filling. My egg and avocado croissant breakfast was hot and fresh But the best part was our coffee..our lattes were the best we had on our week vacation in California We returned to get coffee to continue our trip northward the next day

Coffee please, well wouldn't ya know there was a place across the street. It was 12noon small place, no line, lots of pastries and some lunchish items in the cooler case. Large hot Mocha no whip for me, P got himself a latte thing. Both drinks were up almost instantly and out we went. First sip ah...warm....wait a second. Paul said mines cold...er. The pastry the server chose for me was good, no pastries are made on the premises. Not sure about the lunch snacks origin. We sat at the bistro tables on the sidewalk and admired the parade of tourists and residents. P went in for a reheat, I washed the pastry back with my warm coffee. The reheat worked for P, no problem. We enjoyed the scenery, had a few laughs, and left when a resident tried to parallel his Rolls Royce in front of us. Nothing special here just a coffee place but certainly convenient for our coffee break. Have a nice day Foodguy-Martin

An old friend put me onto Carmel Valley Coffee, so I figured why not give it a chance... and honestly, I'm glad I did. I grabbed a vanilla latte -- simple, safe, and done very very well for this new coffee drinker still trying to find his perfect match. Smooth, warm, and just sweet enough after miles on the trail. The kind of cup that makes you slow down and appreciate the moment. The shop itself is cute, cozy, and carries that laid-back Carmel charm. Service was polite, friendly, and quick -- no rush, no chaos, just good people making good coffee. Whether you're a seasoned caffeine pro or someone like me still figuring out what "notes" and "roast profiles" even mean, this place is worth the stop. A little comfort after a long hike, a little nostalgia courtesy of an old friend, and a latte that hit exactly how it needed to. Already looking forward to coming back.

From the outside, the place looks like a little hole in the wall with just a sign outside and an A-frame advertising their specials. I'm not one for lavender, but I took a sip just to try it, and the latte was very pleasant and the honey added just the right amount of sweetness. I on the other hand, opted for the Tidal Wave, which was their blend of energy drink, and raspberry syrup added. It was admittedly, a little sweet, but I found myself ordering it again. Also just because I needed that extra kick, and the sugar didn't bother me with all the walking we were doing.
