Strawberry Lemon Cake and Blueberry Lemon Cake

The ambience is friendly and inviting. Plenty of seating with a large "fireplace" feature tucked back by the coffee shop side. There was a large shelf with games and coloring books for guests to enjoy. The house made chai latte was delicious. The strawberry lemon and blueberry lemon cake were delicious!

The customer service was ok but the food was really dry the only thing that was great was the beer will never come here again visiting from out of state and spent 60$ on two meals a beer and a juice and they weren't even great and too busy to send it back

This is a nice place to get some food or a coffee drink or Italian soda and just sit for a bit. The servers were kind and helpful. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. If you just want coffee, you can go to the coffee counter instead of the food counter. There is a restroom, which often seems to have a line. If you don't feel patient for that, there are other public restrooms within a few blocks of the place just google them.

this is my second time at this small restaurant/café. The first time I was here for breakfast and today, I am here for lunch. I ordered a café latte with their homemade oat milk and a chicken, apples and brie sandwich. My husband had a Cobb salad. The food is wholesome and tasty. The ingredients are fresh. They also have some incredible pastries. Highly recommended. this would be a great place for ordering some sandwiches and pastries to go to enjoy while having a picnic in point Lobos or any of the other state parks where you can go for hikes or to the beach. Highly recommended if you're looking for fresh and wholesome pastries, salads or sandwiches

Cute casual space. It's located inside a larger establishment, with open seating in front of where ordering happens. Service was prompt, and many items on their menu sounded intriguing. The food was alright. I liked how a salad was included with the sandwiches, and their pickles were yummy. The sandwiches themselves were pretty average.

This open seating eating area was really good. They had delicious bowls and fresh water in mason jars. They give you a number and bring your food to the table. My dish was absolutely delicious! You put your dirty dishes in a bin to lbe picked up when you are done eating. It is food court style.

Inside, open seating area and fireplace

I didn't eat here but five stars for the golden latte and the comfy chair next to an open fireplace. Their golden latte has no caffeine but is super spicy and a perfect treat if you love ginger. There are also a few little shops in the complex that are great for browsing. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Carmel Belle is a casual counter-service cafe nestled inside the courtyard of a shopping center. It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner at one counter and a juice, smoothie, coffee, and pastries bar at a smaller counter. Plenty of seating! I enjoyed the Johnny Cashew smoothie (subbed out banana for pear), which was delightfully nutty, perfectly slightly sweet, and packed with cashews, spinach, pear, dates, almond milk, and cocoa powder for a hint of chocolate.

Came here 3 times while visiting Carmel and Big Sur. Best SALADS ever!! And I'm not a big salad person. The golden latte is to die for! One morning I added an espresso shot to it. It is such a fun place. Very much a place you can come people watch and lounge by the fireplace. Highly recommend!!! Especially if you want a more casual experience than a fancy Carmel sit down $$$$. Highly recommend. !!

We had a quick lunch at this place. The food was great, and the bathrooms were clean. There are a few shops surrounding the tables that can be explored. The coffee takes a long time to come through. The food is simple and very nice.

Exceptional Charcuterie Board (sorry, we dug in before remembering to take the pic)
    Steve G.

After decades of coming to Carmel, I don't know how we've not stumbled across the Belle before, but glad we did this time. We were just looking for a quick bite to eat while walking around and ended up having one of the best Charcuterie Board's we've ever had; and the price was very good considering the high quality and quantity of food. The meats and cheeses were exceptional, and the portions were generous. The server apologized that he dropped a piece of toast on the way to our table and would come back with more. He came back with two slices of a very, very good Sourdough that was essentially an upgrade from the slices of garlic toast that came with the board. He also added a raspberry jam that paired nicely with the Brie. They have a nice selection of other foods and soups that looked very good, and a nice selection of wines by the glass.

Friendly service and I enjoy that they have a fireplace inside which makes the atmosphere super cozy. I tried the grilled salmon and the potatoes were delicious especially with the sour cream and chives which added such a yummy flair. The tuna melt was super good and this place is perfect for a quick bite or hearty meal, they have so many options ranging from brunch, salad, soups, sandwiches, coffee, fresh pressed juices, etc!

breakfast burrito, gluten free breakfast sandwich
    Ian M.

We came in here at the start of our day to get some grub and explore Carmel a bit. The area is super cute and fun to check out. There was a short line and the place was pretty crowded. The staff were working hard to get orders out, and attention was given handily. That said, I think we were both a bit underwhelmed by our breakfasts. We never expect much from gluten free bread (it's nice they even offer it), but my burrito was also like take-it-or-leave-it. I only ate half which means I wasn't consumed by it (haha see what I did there). The prices are eh what you'd expect for the area. I can't remember, something weird about bathroom access at the time? Which sucks. Oh well. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but I don't regret coming here.

    Awesome Latte!

I ordered the chicken sandwich on their very delicious homemade brioche bun, along with a molasses cookie and a farm stand cookie. Everything was delicious. There always seemed to be a line, so plan accordingly. I arrived at 10:52 hoping to grab a breakfast burrito, but didn't make it to the front of the line until after 11. Even though I could still see breakfast items coming out of the kitchen, there is a firm cutoff. So, if you're arriving close to the transition time, don't count on squeezing in a breakfast order. And to the person who was in front of me in line and ordered the last piece of zucchini bread: consider yourself lucky you weren't tackled from behind. ;-) The stand itself has a little bit of everything: pick-your-own flowers, a grocery store, deli, salad bar, educational walks and talks, and plenty of space for families. It's definitely family-friendly, and while the kids can run a little rampant, the size and atmosphere of the place make it feel more lively than chaotic. One suggestion for the shop is to have a separate line for grocery purchases. After eating, I wanted to do some shopping, but decided I wasn't going to wait another 15 minutes in the food line just to buy a few items. A separate checkout would make the whole experience even better. All in all, it's a very good stop! It's also a dog-friendly facility, so please make sure your dogs are friendly too. During my visit, a couple had two bullmastiffs which are beautiful and big dogs, but unfortunately, those two were having a difficult time around other dogs. Whenever another dog came into view, they would bark aggressively and try to go after them. Since they were tethered to the table, the dog's frustration spilled over and they'd "jaw" at each-other. Having been raised with dogs in the house, I'm a big believer that bringing a dog into a public space comes with the responsibility of making sure those dogs are comfortable and well-socialized enough to handle the environment. In this case, the dogs were overwhelmed, and it made the experience less comfortable for the other dogs, their owners, and everyone in the yard. I certainly don't expect every dog to be perfect, but if a dog is repeatedly reacting aggressively to other dogs, it may be better for everyone to take a break from the public setting. After all, dog-friendly works best when the dogs are friendly too. To dog owners -- please be mindful of how your dogs are behaving in a shared public space. Correcting your dog when necessary is completely understandable, because sometimes a quick reminder is all they need. But if your dog requires ongoing training, discipline, or repeated correction to manage their behavior around other dogs, that's probably better handled in a setting specifically suited for training. Don't let one difficult situation take away from the experience of everyone else including well behaved dogs. And to the shop -- it's okay to step in when necessary. If a dog is repeatedly creating an uncomfortable or unsafe environment for others, asking the owners to remove the dog from the public area is a reasonable thing to do. It helps keep the venue enjoyable for everyone, including the dogs who are behaving themselves.
