Went here a month ago and had an amazing time! Part of that was the company I was with but the rest was all The Oakmont. The atmosphere is bright, young and hip. The service was impeccable. All the staff memebrs we encountered were extremely outgoing, kind and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I do not recommended sitting outside because unfortunately their patio is shated with the dumpsters and the smell is very, very overpowering and disgusting. We only had to walk by to get inside but it was enough to know that we couldn't, wouldn't ever sit outside. Go inside. Sit at the bar. Have a great time!
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the ambiance. As soon as you walk in there are neon lights, lots of furniture and tables and a very long bar top.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is seating optional outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is minimal right outside the building but can find plenty of parking nearby. We ordered the truffle fries with garlic aioli and that may be my fave thing on the list, 10/10. I also had the buddha bowl with shrimp and that was delicious. It was my friend's bday and we ordered the nutella cinnamon donut bites and that was also great. Our server was amazing, friendly, and patient. Great experience overall.

I've been curious about The Oakmont, a fairly new Mile Square bar/diner with a rather unique vibe weaving together alt-decor with industrial with almost a grunge feeling. So, of course, I liked it. I'd been invited to have lunch to pick up a donation for a fundraiser I've been doing. I actually got there 10 minutes before they opened - the hostess was super friendly in being willing to seat me while also noting that it would be 10 minutes before I could be served. No problem. In those 10 minutes, I realized I was an hour early. I quickly apologized before they set any water,etc. down. I cruised Mass Avenue for a bit and returned at my scheduled time. The Oakmont is on North Delaware. It's on the backside of Stout's Shoe Shop and Mass Avenue. There's a parking lot - but take note that it belongs to Stout's and signage makes it clear you'll be towed if not a Stout's customer. I parked on Mass Avenue and wheeled around. This area has pretty good accessible parking and good curb cuts. The path to The Oakmont is free of obstacles and the door is easy access. The hosting station is right there at the door - so if they see you, they'll likely assist. This is a 21+ joint. As you enter, there's a dining room and a bar area. The Oakmont is relatively small, however, it's comfy. My 3-person party was sat at a four-top. The hostess didn't flinch with my wheelchair - always nice and she clearly knew how to handle it. I saw a restroom with an accessible sign. I didn't have reason to go there, however, that's a good sign. I will note that the bar itself is all high-top tables. One of my two dining companions originally sat at a high-top not realizing I was a wheelchair user. He quickly moved over. The Oakmont brought water to the table in a carafe. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea (my usual). I ordered an Oakmont Chicken Sandwich (grilled, though you can get it crispy) on challah bread with chipotle aioli, tomato, red onion, spring mix, and sharp cheddar. The menu says a side of house-made pickles, though I don't remember them being there - they may have been, though I'd have ignored them anyway. This sandwich was a delight, though this paraplegic's somewhat spastic hands sure made a mess. I absolutely loved the sandwich, though. I also ordered a side of chips (kettle). They were also awesome. Our server, whose name I've spaced, was spot-on. She was friendly but not fake. She was attentive but not intrusive. I got my always desired tea refill. She really was just awesome. They have a VIP club. There's also brunch on the weekend from 10a-3p. They also host private events. While this is a tad bit pricier than some places, it's fairly consistent with Mass Avenue and I found it to be worth it thanks to a winning atmosphere, great service, and a delicious meal. They have some fun dessert options I'd try upon return. Oh, and yeah. I'll definitely return.
I wanted to try a new-to-me place for a birthday lunch. And The Oakmont looked like a solid option. It is located on North Delaware, adjacent to Stout's Shoes, just off Mass Ave. We both selected the Buddah Bowl, a mix of egg whites, kale, broccolo and cauliflower. Overall it was tasty, a good size for the money and was delivered promptly even though there was a sizable crowd at lunch time. One nitpick: the bowl seemed to be overrun with kale. We both have preferred more broccoli and cauliflower, and maybe even some tomatoes for flavor and more color to the bowl. The Oakmont, is 21+ only, with a cool vibe, as a DJ spun tunes and football filled the big screen TVs. There's a dining room and a bar area. The Oakmont is relatively small, but it does offer outdoor seating. Note: There's a parking lot but it belongs to Stout's and signage makes it clear you'll be towed if not a Stout's customer.
Just got done eating here and I will have to say the food was pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First walk in and the vibe and atmosphere are a vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Greeted by a friendly host that sat us immediately and brought water. She checked up on us regularly and the food service was fast. I ordered an old fashion and it tasted great. As far as the food, I ordered the Birria Tacos. They were flavorful and father juicy. The consume was great as well. The only thing I will say is that they were rather flat and empty. My one suggestion would be to add some more meat in there. Fill them up. You only get three and I feel like they should be fat. Filled up !! Other than that they were pretty good. My sister had the Cajun salmon tacos and I was lucky enough to taste those as well. Same thing. Fill them up a little more. But flavor was great.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun summer night out with friends at The Oakmont.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started at the bar with cocktails - six people had 5 different drinks and they were all very happy! The husband got a Terailer Park Tuxedo and it was delicious. The menu changes seasonally. I got the Oakmont Rice bowl and husband got the OG burger, and we split both. Mine was good but he claimed it was the best burger he's ever had!
The Oakmont is a vibe! I love coming here for brunch. The pancake platter is my go to when I'm with a large group. The service is always top tier!

The popping 21+ downtown hang for the affluent disco dads, youthful outdoor types, my friend and I enjoyed it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Street parking only, noticed the outdoor tables got incredibly hot and it was only mid afternoon, weren't able to put our arms on a table at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was enjoyable, got our order in, morning after burger and breakfast bagel. Decent sizes but better be for these inflation prices, I liked the fresh bun, excellent assembly of beef and toppings, and balanced sauces too however for twenty bucks a burger should have included sides. Did a bread pudding for dessert tho it was more fancy french toast. I'd also recommend Tap20 and Bodhi for the best of good eats!
I'm very been to the Oakmont for both brunch and dinner. While I prefer brunch menu, dinner was very good. Our server was wonderful! Kept our drinks full all night. The food was good too!
I came here with friends & we had such a positive experience! We were a fairly large group (9 people), but the service was great and our server was very attentive! We sat in the outside patio and it was a great way to end our night. We had the charcuterie plate and the truffle fries to share and both were delightful; very shareable amongst a large group. I had the gumbo & I expected a bit more meat, but overall it was flavorful. My friends had the tacos and the steak with chimichurri and raved about their dishes. definitely a spot I will return to in the future!

I've been twice for dinner and today went for brunch. I cannot say enough good things about The Oakmont! My go-to for dinner is The Oakmont Rice Bowl. Delicious! The brunch did not disappoint either. Fried Deviled Eggs, French Toast, Avocado Toast, and Breakfast BLT. All of us loved what we got! And the drinks...so good! The atmosphere at The Oakmont is awesome! Great music, great vibe. Each time we have gone every single person working there is so nice and friendly. And, the manager, Dylan, came to our table to check on us. He was such a professional and made sure everything was as it should be. We will definitely be returning, often, and I would tell everyone to check it out! read more

I tried The Oakmont for dinner and it was pretty good, but I had heard over and over, that brunch is great. A reservation for weekend brunch is an absolute must, especially if you're with a group of any more than 2. You may be able to find bar seating for 1 or 2, but I'm not the type to chance it. The brunch vibes are great here. A DJ, mimosa flights, pancake board, and great decor, what else could you want. The service is great. The food is solid, not the best avocado toast I've ever had, but the steak and eggs and truffle fries are wonderful. They also make a solid espresso martini. I highly recommend this spot for brunch! read more
I ordered the OG Burger (sub chicken) but the chicken tasted oily. The garlic truffle fries had way too much parmesan cheese, taking away from the taste of fries. Our server told us about their drink special and it was so good and refreshing. Overall, the customer service and atmosphere were great but if I go back again, I would try other items on the menu and stay away from the burgers. read more

Anniversary dinner date & we left full & happy! The stars of our meals was the pork nacho appetizer (holy moly, I'm coming back just for that), the truffle fries and the fruity pebble donut dessert. I was not a fan of the chimichurri steak. I asked for medium and it came out well done. The "topping" also lacked true flavor, those reasons is why I docked a star. I could see us coming back on a date night, but unfortunately that doesn't happen often and being a 21+ only restaurant that cuts your customers/clientele in half. read more

This place is super cute! We were able to snag seats at the bar on a busy Sunday afternoon and our experience/service was 10/10. You can't go wrong with the mimosa kit, the juice options were sooo goodn The truffle fries were hands down THE best fries I have ever tasted in my entire life and I'm not even being dramatic. The burger was also delicious with the perfect runny egg on top. read more
This was our first experience here at breakfast + it did not disappoint! We got there right when it opened on a Sunday home Colts football game. We knew our expectations were low since they take reservations and they had no more for that morning. But we walked in and they could seat us at the couches. Which we loved! Our server was great (can't remember her name) + got us everything so quick. We all LOVED our food. The garlic mayo is amazing!!!! Highly recommend it in any bagel/burger you get. This was our 1st time visiting. The ambience was cool and the service was great. They are located slightly off of mass Ave so if you're not looking for them you can easily miss them if you're not looking. The drinks were good and so was the chicken sandwich. Sat at the bar with some girlfriends whom frequent the place. And 2 words...AW-MAZING!! I had Shrimp and Grits and Tortilla Soup. The soup was so big, a normal appetite person would be satisfied with it as an entree!! But the shrimp and grits; the texture was amazing (cheese to water ratio is important in this dish), the shrimp were like huge prawns and cooked + seasoned perfectly. Although we were seated at the bar, the bartender did great at making sure we were well taken care of. The atmosphere is very "college-town bar" vibey...but I may just feel that way because it was a night where multiple collegiate football games were airing across multiple tvs. lol read more

Popping brunch spot on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. This was my second time here and it's just as fun as I remember it the first time. The DJ inside the place makes it so lively. Feel like I'm at a party in the morning. This time I got the egg and brisket bagel sandwich and it was delicious. They added a garlicky cream on the side that made it so delicious and the brisket was the perfect Smokey flavor (this coming from at homegrown Texas gal). Definitely recommend reservations if you want a time slot before 1pm. The reservations booked out by like wednesday or Thursday the week I went. Will definitely come back for more and to hopefully try the delicious breakfast sweets next time! read more

My husband celebrated his birthday here last weekend with friends and it was a great experience! Made our reservation online to seat 10 people for a Sunday and they accommodated us very well. The vibe was set with music and great food! Service was great and our server was very friendly and accommodating! My friend ordered the fried devil eggs and they were tasty! I gave a 4/5 because the food did not come out hot and it could've been due to the size of our party. However, I cannot wait to try them again in the near future! read more

Went her for a date night after seeing posts and reels on Instagram. The vibe is definitely nice. Upbeat, colorful, gorgeous decor. The music was a little loud. I felt like we were yelling at each other the whole time lol. The staff was really nice which is always a plus. The chicken sandwich was just okay. It was really messy so I had to use a fork and knife to eat it. The taste wasn't anything to write home about. But the truffle fries did not disappoint. I think I would give this place another try maybe for brunch because I've heard great things about their brunch and the pictures look really good. read more

Good food and GREAT drinks! Cute little bar off of mass ave that gives out all the good vibes. Would be a great place for brunch or a first date. I had the steak tacos which came with fries. The steak was just ok and lacked some flavor and overall seasoning. The Parmesan fries were probably my favorite. I had the Texas sandwich drink and the smoking gun margarita. Both were very good and refreshing. These are handcrafted cocktails made with fresh ingredients. Would definitely come back fro these drinks! read more

My first time and it was great. Tried to make reservations at the last minute, but there were none. We were able to walk up and get seats at the bar. The bar is full service and you can order food as well. The food was amazing! My party got the French toast, chicken omelet, potatoes, and the confetti doughnut balls. Several friends and I visited Indy for a friend's birthday and we hit up this spot for Saturday brunch, and I was overjoyed with how awesome it was! I absolutely loved the vibe... colorful, quirky decor, music playing. And the food was amazing! Everyone loved their dish... our party tried the fried deviled eggs, the avocado toast, the brisket and egg bagel sandwich, and the basic breakfast (w/ eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, fruit, and a roasted poblano and cheese biscuit). We tried a variety of boozy brunch drinks too! We had the spicy blood mary (one of the best I've had!) and the baristo. Such a great experience! read more

I was really looking for a Sunday Brunch spot that served the traditional brunch Food and Drinks. It's 21 and Over, we were walk ins and they really encourage reservations. Me and my party didn't know it at the time so it was a bit of a wait, but the owner tried his best to get us served/sat right away even it being busy. The music was great there was a DJ and he was awesome! Over all vibe of the place is amazing. Food was great as well, we ordered the steak and eggs, it was good however I didn't really like the topping it had but it was still good. The biscuits and gravy, fries, and fried deviled eggs, were amazing! I highly recommend. Just don't forget the reservation, it'll save you a whole lot of time! read more
