Hogeye Navvy singing tonight at The Aristocrat.

The Aristocrat is a great pub and restaurant. They've been in business for the longest time and it's so nice to return and see so many familiar faces and have such great dinners . The music is provided by a world class folk and work ballad band called Hogeye Navvy and they have recorded their own CD's and music and are known all over the region and have even played dates in Ireland and Scotland. Such a great place and people. I love coming here

We had delicious, reasonably priced food and some of the best service of our trip at Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant in SoBro. Loved the feel of the place with the wood and the nice bar - lots of patio outside if you wanted that, but we were looking for quiet seclusion and air conditioning, and they led us right to it. Every bit of the food was great, the drinks were great and our server was a peach. We'll be back the next time we're in the area - to be honest, the welcoming spirit of this restaurant made us want to come spend a couple days here in the area, just because.

Came here for a late lunch on Sunday (1:30 pm) and found out they don't serve the lunch/dinner menu until 2pm. Rather than waiting for 30 minutes, we decided to order off the brunch menu, which exceeded expectations! We aren't big breakfast people, but opted for the country hash and Italian frittata. Both were flavorful and the perfect amount of food. The decor was fun and was equal parts pub, sports bar, and academic. Our server was knowledgeable and kind, and was attentive despite the crowd. We will definitely come back to try the main menu.

I ordered their signature Hoosier tenderloin sandwich. Fun, good quality sandwich! Pork wasnt dry, breading was seasoned, bun was soft, and veggies were fresh. Altho I wouldn't recommend ordering delivery/carryout bc I can see this thin pork becoming dry quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ton of seating inside for small to big groups.

Having switched jobs I know have access to restaurants I normally wouldn't frequent because I hate street parking. The Aristocrat is located just north of the intersection of college and 52nd St. it has street parking and a private parking lot that holds about eight cars. I was told it's part of the Union Jack family. It has that lovely old-fashioned all wooden bar type field. We went for lunch on a Wednesday at 11:30 and the place was filled up outside, but there wasn't too many people inside yet. We were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside and it was a lovely day so we chose their covered outdoor patio. We tried the beer cheese burger served with salt and pepper, potato chips, the fish and chips, and the tenderloin. The tenderloin was really good but ordered the coleslaw as the side. He didn't eat it because there were sunflower seeds in it. I've never seen coleslaw with sunflower seeds before. The fries were really good. They were thicker cut straight french fries with some sort of batter on them. The outsides were crispy and the middles were fluffy. The fish had a thick kind of cracker crumb type breading. It was OK but not the type of breading I'm used to or prefer on fish, but it was definitely edible and they did have malt vinegar. They had a happy hour menu during the week that starts, I believe it 2 pm and ended 5, Tuesday through Friday. I would like to go back and try the chili cheese french fry special! This place, definitely had a very chill neighborhood vibe and it appeared that all different types of people come and hang out there.

This restaurant has a classic, old-timey pub feel to it. You can sense the UK roots, but also this place is distinctly American. When I first walked in, I was enamored with this unique, lush woodsy space. The place feels like it's been around for quite some time and it's located in an area that feels suburban or suburban adjacent. I was a tourist in town and I was on my 'food tourism / brewery crawl' leg of my trip. I read that a pork tenderloin sandwich is one of the food items to get in town and through my limited research, saw that this place is a great place to get it! When I got here, it was at that odd time that's after prime lunch (I wanna say 2ish?), so I was able to get seated in the bar area right away. I was greeted and helped by the friendliest ladies, but sadly, I can't remember their names (Saturday 9/6/25). I came in knowing what I wanted so I ordered the sandwich and a beer. When the "sandwich" came out, I was like holy moly!!! It was huge. The person who brought out my sandwich just said welcome to Indiana, LOL. It wasn't so much a sandwich, more like a large schnitzel with a comically tiny hat in the form of a sandwich bun to put on top. The pork was tenderized thin and perfectly fried. It was a delicious "sandwich", but I had to cut a lot of the meat away to actually eat it like a sandwich and I had a nice snack for later when I got back to my hotel room. Hopefully I find myself back here someday. I would love to try some of their other menu items and explore more of their solid tap list and/or cocktails.

Fun! I've been here many times with a group event in the upstairs. This September, my wife and I went here on a date. We were greeted promptly with a smile. We were able to sit outside, so we took it. The outside is decorated nicely with a lot of greenery. We were able to have our conversation, enjoy the weather and have a great night. The food was good. I had the Guinness Stew special. It hit the spot! My wife had the vegetarian ravioli. It was okay. Neither of us cared too much for the sauce it was in. They don't have many vegetarian options, but there was at least one other she could try. Good service, nice atmosphere, fun date night. We'd come back

We had two couples that went for the first time to the aristocrat pub and restaurant in Broadripple. We went early around 5 o'clock and found ample parking. There is a small parking lot beside the building, but we parked on the street. We were promptly seated in this very old style elegant pub with lots of wood. It was really nice. Our server was from England with a great accent. He was really funny and really entertained us. It added to our dining experience. We ordered the mussels for all four of us, they were awesome. they filled all 4 us all up. one of our friends had the happy hour tenderloin sliders which he said was great. Our other friend had some sort of pasta that was full full of cheese. My wife and I split the breaded tenderloin, oh my gosh, it was really good. I would highly recommend it. Also our friend is an old-fashioned connoisseur and he said it was good. overall great service great ambience delicious food. Easy to carry on a conversation, I would highly recommend this place.

My first visit here was with a group of approximately 13 which they handled well. Service was fast and friendly. Our waitress took our orders without writing anything down. Great memory. I opted for chicken strips and fries which were pretty good. They are known for their large tenderloins. I had half of one for lunch the next day and it was tasty. Aristocrat is old neighborhood hood pub with traditional wooden decor. There is covered patio seating in the front and small parking lot in the back. I recommend Aristocrat if you're in the area and in the mood For pub food.

We stopped in before a show at Butler. It had been many years since I had stopped by the establishment. We sat at a high top in the bar. The bartender was quick to greet us and bring us waters. She was very friendly and happy to help with suggestions. We shared the baked brie, which was delicious with a pretzel roll and apples. I had the shrimp tacos. I love the dish - shrimp are sautéed and not fried. Helps the flavors come out rather than tasting just the breading. The cabbage and grilled corn is outstanding. This is a really good dish and very plentiful. I love the look of the bar and the old pictures and many a beer mug or Stein. We'll have to come back soon.

This was my first time stopping in at the aristocrat for several years. The inside definitely has a comfy English pub vibe as other reviewers have noted. I ordered the cherry chicken salad sandwich and upgraded to fries for $3. I'm glad I did because the fries were fantastic. Thick cut, crispy, with perfectly fluffy potato that melts in your mouth. Unfortunately the chicken salad did not deliver. The amount of chicken salad was pretty disappointing for a $15 price point. The croissant it came on was dense and overwhelmed the salad. The chicken salad itself was a bit dry and I needed to add mayo to compensate. There was nothing else on the sandwich like tomato or lettuce. The cherries were a delightful addition but couldn't make up for all of the other components. Overall it ended up being underwhelming. My husband ordered the fish and chips and agreed with me on the fries. His fish was hot and crispy and the breading seemed to have some cornmeal in it that added extra crunch. He also mentioned the tartar sauce being above average. All in all, the fish and chips was wayyyy better than the chicken salad. Our server was very friendly and attentive. And we enjoyed the ambiance and most of the food. We would definitely return, but I think I'd try a burger or the tenderloin.

Went in late on Sunday night after very long weekend. Bartender was fantastic. Super hospitable even though they were closing soon. We ordered and he asked if we had seen the feature, described it to us and we got it. All the food was great. People sitting at the bar were cool and we had great conversations.

Actually picked up an order to go here on a trip somewhere and we're very impressed by everything. Strawberry Blues Salad was so perfectly fresh and delicious! Came with strawberries and cantaloupe and I would not have expected this ever having cantaloupe in a salad and actually liking it! There was some goat cheese in the salad went so well with everything else going on. Very big portion size on this as well which I am very grateful for. For the sandwich, we actually picked the grill the tenderloin instead of the fried one to save some calories and it was a very good decision. People say that the sandwich can be a bit dry but this was actually lovely. We made a proper sandwich out of it with some lettuce and onion and some pickles as well and this was quite a flavorful one. 10/10 recommend! Because I strong as you had a really nice aesthetic Vibe and he would have loved to actually stay there and eat.

Don't visit thinking you're going to find a meal, because they don't have a lot of food beyond locally made hand pies and empanadas, a grazing board, and something called Snug Nuts. (Which brings to mind certain ... images.) I didn't get any food, just a Road & Coke, which is a whiskey with a Coke and lime, similar to a Cuba libre, although a Cuba uses rum. It was delicious, but a little light on the booze. It was only $5 and change, though, so it's kind of like what do you expect, really. It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. A hug that can also provide you with copious amounts of Irish whiskey, which sounds like the best kind of hug, to me.

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

Our server was friendly and responsive to one member of our group (male) but repeatedly didn't acknowledge another (female). This wasn't a one-time thing, it happened several times over the course of our visit, and it came across as dismissive. As for the drinks: beer prices were nice and cheap, but the margarita was on the expensive side and not really worth it. The place seems geared toward bigger dinner crowds, which may be why a two-person drinks-only table didn't get much attention, but being essentially ignored isn't a great look either way. We wouldn't return. 2/5.
