This is the place to be for a Sunday brunch. Hipster music with a funky dj..amazing food with great options and fast friendly service. The manager was extremely accommodating which made the experience even more enjoyable. 10/10...the music is !
Loved the ambiance. As soon as you walk in there are neon lights, lots of furniture and tables and a very long bar top. There is seating optional outside. Parking is minimal right outside the building but can find plenty of parking nearby. We ordered the truffle fries with garlic aioli and that may be my fave thing on the list, 10/10. I also had the buddha bowl with shrimp and that was delicious. It was my friend's bday and we ordered the nutella cinnamon donut bites and that was also great. Our server was amazing, friendly, and patient. Great experience overall.
2 years later we're still coming here! Food is delicious as always, staff is friendly and service is great, atmosphere is fun!
I've been curious about The Oakmont, a fairly new Mile Square bar/diner with a rather unique vibe weaving together alt-decor with industrial with almost a grunge feeling. So, of course, I liked it. I'd been invited to have lunch to pick up a donation for a fundraiser I've been doing. I actually got there 10 minutes before they opened - the hostess was super friendly in being willing to seat me while also noting that it would be 10 minutes before I could be served. No problem. In those 10 minutes, I realized I was an hour early. I quickly apologized before they set any water,etc. down. I cruised Mass Avenue for a bit and returned at my scheduled time. The Oakmont is on North Delaware. It's on the backside of Stout's Shoe Shop and Mass Avenue. There's a parking lot - but take note that it belongs to Stout's and signage makes it clear you'll be towed if not a Stout's customer. I parked on Mass Avenue and wheeled around. This area has pretty good accessible parking and good curb cuts. The path to The Oakmont is free of obstacles and the door is easy access. The hosting station is right there at the door - so if they see you, they'll likely assist. This is a 21+ joint. As you enter, there's a dining room and a bar area. The Oakmont is relatively small, however, it's comfy. My 3-person party was sat at a four-top. The hostess didn't flinch with my wheelchair - always nice and she clearly knew how to handle it. I saw a restroom with an accessible sign. I didn't have reason to go there, however, that's a good sign. I will note that the bar itself is all high-top tables. One of my two dining companions originally sat at a high-top not realizing I was a wheelchair user. He quickly moved over. The Oakmont brought water to the table in a carafe. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea (my usual). I ordered an Oakmont Chicken Sandwich (grilled, though you can get it crispy) on challah bread with chipotle aioli, tomato, red onion, spring mix, and sharp cheddar. The menu says a side of house-made pickles, though I don't remember them being there - they may have been, though I'd have ignored them anyway. This sandwich was a delight, though this paraplegic's somewhat spastic hands sure made a mess. I absolutely loved the sandwich, though. I also ordered a side of chips (kettle). They were also awesome. Our server, whose name I've spaced, was spot-on. She was friendly but not fake. She was attentive but not intrusive. I got my always desired tea refill. She really was just awesome. They have a VIP club. There's also brunch on the weekend from 10a-3p. They also host private events. While this is a tad bit pricier than some places, it's fairly consistent with Mass Avenue and I found it to be worth it thanks to a winning atmosphere, great service, and a delicious meal. They have some fun dessert options I'd try upon return. Oh, and yeah. I'll definitely return.
I wanted to try a new-to-me place for a birthday lunch. And The Oakmont looked like a solid option. It is located on North Delaware, adjacent to Stout's Shoes, just off Mass Ave. We both selected the Buddah Bowl, a mix of egg whites, kale, broccolo and cauliflower. Overall it was tasty, a good size for the money and was delivered promptly even though there was a sizable crowd at lunch time. One nitpick: the bowl seemed to be overrun with kale. We both have preferred more broccoli and cauliflower, and maybe even some tomatoes for flavor and more color to the bowl. The Oakmont, is 21+ only, with a cool vibe, as a DJ spun tunes and football filled the big screen TVs. There's a dining room and a bar area. The Oakmont is relatively small, but it does offer outdoor seating. Note: There's a parking lot but it belongs to Stout's and signage makes it clear you'll be towed if not a Stout's customer.
Went here a month ago and had an amazing time! Part of that was the company I was with but the rest was all The Oakmont. The atmosphere is bright, young and hip. The service was impeccable. All the staff memebrs we encountered were extremely outgoing, kind and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I do not recommended sitting outside because unfortunately their patio is shated with the dumpsters and the smell is very, very overpowering and disgusting. We only had to walk by to get inside but it was enough to know that we couldn't, wouldn't ever sit outside. Go inside. Sit at the bar. Have a great time!
Food was right on point. Server highlighted their newest dishes & recommended some gems. Chill modern ambiance with some dope cocktails.
Every time I have eaten here, I have never had a bad meal It is easy to reserve a table online and they have indoor and outdoor seating They do have a small lot you can park in, otherwise you have to pay for street parking unless it's Sunday
Just got done eating here and I will have to say the food was pretty good. First walk in and the vibe and atmosphere are a vibe. Greeted by a friendly host that sat us immediately and brought water. She checked up on us regularly and the food service was fast. I ordered an old fashion and it tasted great. As far as the food, I ordered the Birria Tacos. They were flavorful and father juicy. The consume was great as well. The only thing I will say is that they were rather flat and empty. My one suggestion would be to add some more meat in there. Fill them up. You only get three and I feel like they should be fat. Filled up !! Other than that they were pretty good. My sister had the Cajun salmon tacos and I was lucky enough to taste those as well. Same thing. Fill them up a little more. But flavor was great.
Fun summer night out with friends at The Oakmont. Started at the bar with cocktails - six people had 5 different drinks and they were all very happy! The husband got a Terailer Park Tuxedo and it was delicious. The menu changes seasonally. I got the Oakmont Rice bowl and husband got the OG burger, and we split both. Mine was good but he claimed it was the best burger he's ever had!
I'm very been to the Oakmont for both brunch and dinner. While I prefer brunch menu, dinner was very good. Our server was wonderful! Kept our drinks full all night. The food was good too!
The popping 21+ downtown hang for the affluent disco dads, youthful outdoor types, my friend and I enjoyed it! Street parking only, noticed the outdoor tables got incredibly hot and it was only mid afternoon, weren't able to put our arms on a table at all. Staff was enjoyable, got our order in, morning after burger and breakfast bagel. Decent sizes but better be for these inflation prices, I liked the fresh bun, excellent assembly of beef and toppings, and balanced sauces too however for twenty bucks a burger should have included sides. Did a bread pudding for dessert tho it was more fancy french toast. I'd also recommend Tap20 and Bodhi for the best of good eats!
The Oakmont is a vibe! I love coming here for brunch. The pancake platter is my go to when I'm with a large group. The service is always top tier!

The Oakmont has such a great vibe, and I always enjoy the atmosphere, but I do wish they had more veg-friendly options. Since I don't eat eggs or dairy, the menu can feel a bit limiting for me. I recently went for a friend's birthday and ordered a salad, which was tasty, but let's be honest--who really wants a salad for brunch? That said, the vibes are always on point, and the outdoor seating is a nice bonus. Being right off Mass Ave, it's also perfect for a little bar hopping afterward. I just hope they expand their menu to accommodate more plant-based options! read more
Tried bunch at the Oakmont, I would recommend going on a nice morning/afternoon. It was very loud inside during the rush hour. I was able to make reservation and requested outdoor seating so it worked out perfectly. Garlic truffle fries were yummy and mimosa flight was very enjoyable on warm spring day. Great spot for brunch with the girls! Service was attentive and made sure everything was taken care of in timely manner. My friend and I enjoyed our time there. read more
We popped in for a quick dinner before a comedy show. We made reservations just in case - but it wasn't too busy! The staff was really friendly and the service prompt. Our drinks were really well made - which can really make or break it for me. The la Perla was their version of a spicy margarita - and it was really good. The deviled eggs intrigued us so we went for it. I don't know what i was expecting but they definjtely exceeded my expectations. Don't let "fried" scare you. It wasn't too much; and the flavors were still very very much there. The tequila chicken was excellent. I think often when I have broccolini at a restaurant it's over-saturated in oil. This was not the case. It was still slightly crunchy, but had great flavor - as did the chicken and the cauliflower purée. I'm assuming my husband loves his burger and fries because he ate every last bite. I did have a bite of the truffle fries and they were incredible. Would love to go back for brunch! A friend and I visited The Oakmont for brunch on Saturday and the first thing we noticed were all the fun holiday decorations! It was super festive and vibey! We had no wait and were excited to try a few things on the menu. The deviled eggs were great, I really enjoyed my biscuita and gravy (my fried eggs had perfectly crispy edges), and the variety offered in my friends basic breakfast was exactly what she was looking for, though her biscuit didn't turn out so great. We decided to treat ourselves to the fruity pebbles donut holes too, which sounded amazing, but were disappointing. They were pretty tough and chewy which is odd for a donut. Our coffees were good (one cold brew and one drip) but it took kind of a little while to get our server back to ask for a refill. A DJ started playing at about 12:30, which seemed a little early for us (maybe we're too old ) for such loud music, but it'd be fun during cocktails. read more

The Oakmont has a very lively and vibrant atmosphere. It is great for groups that want to have drinks, take Instagram-worthy food pics and enjoy and overall turn-up. They have a huge beverage menu and a full bar, but no cognac. Our server was really nice and efficient. The place was poppin' on a Sunday afternoon and I was happy that we'd made reservations, because there was not an empty table in the room. Halfway through our meal, actor Bill Bellamy walked in and sat at the bar, so you might even run into someone famous! I ordered the Garlic Truffle Fries and they were so good. I had to take more than half of them home due to the huge serving size. Pro tip: they reheated fabulously in the air fryer later on that day. The aioli was bomb too. I also had a stack of french toast (side order), that I couldn't finish. It was good though. The vibe was really upbeat. The food and service was good. It's a really cute spot for a girls' brunch or a birthday party. There were lots of couples there as well, enjoying buckets of champagne for mimosas. It was rather loud though, so don't go if you want to have deep, meaningful conversation. read more

Our group ended up here based purely on our ability to be seated immediately (we were ravenous and could. not. wait.), but we were all very happy with our dinner! We got a wide array of food and drinks: the Hummus Plate, the O.G. Burger, the Oakmont Chicken Sandwich, the Tequila Chicken, and the Buddha Bowl. I personally got the Buddha Bowl (with a side of garlic truffle fries, because life is about BALANCE). The bowl wasn't quite what I expected -- it's definitely not a grain bowl, it's basically a warm salad -- but it was delicious and felt very filling. I particularly liked the mushrooms in it! Everyone found beers they liked as well; I was a big fan of the blood orange beer they had on tap! The service is super quick, as well. I do think we got lucky with when we arrived, because it was packed by the time we left, so a reservation is probably a good idea. The restaurant has a funky vibe, with a mix of quirky art and decor that screams "Instagram background." It's definitely unique! read more
Went here for my besties bday dinner and we had the best time! Our reservation for 7 waits a surprise extra was easily accommodated. (Un)fortunately we had too much fun too quick for me to remember and food pics, however their dirty martini is my current fav in the city! Definitely recommend the truffle fries to snack on if you don't want a whole meal. The vibe is more upbeat and eclectic (think neon lights and house music). Located near Mass Ave., this spot offers live D.J. music during Sunday brunch which creates a whole new vibe. I ordered the Breakfast Buddha: egg whites, chickpeas, quinoa, kale, cauliflower, mushroom, red onion, tahini dressing, grilled lemon and I added salmon. We were looking for a place to get a bite to eat early afternoon on a Saturday and stumbled upon The Oakmont. It was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. They mostly served brunch options at this time of day. Although they looked very good we were looking more for a hearty snack so we ordered a few interesting things on the menu. The fried deviled eggs, truffle fries, and bread pudding. All delicious and unique! There was a musician playing while we were there. There were also a few couches for people to lounge on. I enjoyed the trendy atmosphere! Parking was a bit challenging to find, but it is downtown and to be expected. I can't wait to go back! read more
I haven't been here in a while, but recently went with my mom who was visiting from out of town. I got the hold the yolk omelette with a side of breakfast potatoes. The omelette was very good. Lots of veggies and cooked to perfection! The breakfast potatoes were exactly how I always like them: golden and crispy! I also had a matcha-tini. It was very light in flavor. I'd say I mostly got pineapple with a soft hint of matcha. I'd get it again. It's not very sweet which is more to my liking. We were planning on going closer to lunch time, but plans changed and we were able to get a table easily around 10:30 on a Sunday. We sat on the patio area which was lovely. The fans kept things cool. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. read more
I came here for Devour and I was pleased. There is a covered outdoor patio with a rather swanky interior. I came in around 5:30 on a Saturday and we were told that most of the tables inside were reserved for 6 pm. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence for The Oakmont but this did not seem logistically sound. The Devour deal was appetizer, entree, and dessert for $35 at dinner time. I got... Watermelon salad: mixed greens with toasted pine nuts and watermelon chunks with balsamic dressing. Diablo burger: topped with a spicy mayo and poblano peppers Mango sorbet: with fresh cut mango and topped with Tajin The food was all very good, and I especially loved the mango sorbet. The portions sizes are all satisfying too. That said, I do not think the Devour special was much of a deal, given that I would probably value the price of all of these together when ordered on a regular day to be about that same $35. But that said still, our service was quite quick and the restaurant seems to be very popular, with the patio filling up to near completion by the end of our meal. I give the review 4 stars total because something felt slightly off about there being nearly no open seating indoors in the early Saturday evening window and the Devour special not seeming to be much of a savings value compared to the regular. I'd come here again, but I don't think I'll be jumping at the next chance I get. read more

Met two members of my team here for dinner the night before a meeting. I got the Burger with fries and we split a hummus while we waited for another to arrive. This may have been one of the best burgers. Seriously. It was cooked to perfection. The fries had the perfect crunch. I would come back here for sure! read more

The atmosphere for this spot is so cute & feels like there perfect place to go for a meet up with a friend or to sit at the bar solo. I tried the birria tacos which were very flavorful and delicious & the truffle fries were my appetizer; they were very tasty as well. The service was very attentive & polite. read more

Went here at 5:30 for an impromptu quick bite before a basketball game. Located in the heart of what I call downtown, there is a tiny parking lot attached and pay parking on any of the surrounding downtown streets. I've got mixed feelings about this place. The drinks were good and the truffle fries were amazing. The burger and steak were okay but the service was horrible. The entire place was empty and we got sat at a two top next to the service station all the way in the back, which I think was really weird. It also took forever to get the bill, couldn't find our waitress after we ordered, and we never got a water refill, which is something I gauge by. I've been here before and sat at the bar and everything was fine, but I hadn't had a chance to try their food yet. Like I said, the truffle fries were amazing and the drinks were tasty. I'm giving it four stars due to the service. Very slow and we were the only ones in the entire place since it was an early Tuesday evening. read more

Truffle fries. That could literally be the whole review. Some of the best I've ever had! Besides the fries, food is also pretty good! Salmon tacos, burger, salad, chicken sandwich, steak..our entire party liked! Service is kind of slow and music is loud, but they have a great outdoor seating area! I recommend finding street parking as there are barely any spots to park in their lot. read more
Too Old for The Oakmont? This past Sunday was our second time visiting The Oakmont for brunch and I'm wondering if I'm just not the target audience? To be clear, the food is absolutely delicious. My basic breakfast was fantastic, and our friends killed the Bagel Board and the Pancake Board. Someone also ordered an omelette that was great. That said, I don't love the ambiance. It's really loud, exacerbated by the concrete floor. They also bring a DJ in around 11:00 AM which also adds to the noise. It made it difficult to converse. Finally, our service was just okay. Our server seemed annoyed with us and didn't check on us often. I frequently had an empty glass. I'm still giving 4 stars as I don't think The Oakmont is a bad restaurant. I'm just not sure it's for me. read more

I finally made it to this place. We were seated promptly and offered drinks. It was not very crowded when we arrived. We sat inside, but there was ample outside seating. It's not very big on the inside. I ordered the OG burger with truffle fries. The burger had bacon, cheese, onion, lettuce, and tomato with buttery broiche bun. I can't say enough about the truffle fries. I washed it all down with an ice cold modelo. Our server was very attentive and sweet. The downside is the park ing. read more
I have been wanting to come here for brunch and finally had the opportunity to do so. This place is located in the Mass Ave area, it's off Delaware. They have a few parking spots in front of it but you have to be extremely lucky to park there, we parked at a meter on a Sunday which is free downtown. I came with my hubby and when we walked in the host stand is right there. He asked if we had reservations and we did not. He told us the wait was 2 hours, or we could sit at the bar which was first come first serve. Everything looked packed. The host told us it's best to make reservations for brunch at least a month in advance especially on a holiday weekend (this was valentine's weekend)...good to note! We decided to wait it out for a bit, and 2 seats perfectly opened up for us so we snagged em. The bar tender was very friendly. They have a tasty brunch menu and cocktails. We opted for the mimosa flight which was a whole bottle of champagne (I didn't realize that when we ordered it) and 4 juices - cranberry, orange, pineapple, and blood orange. They were all delicious and it's nice how you can pour how ever much champagne to juice ratio you want. I'd say my fav was the pineapple and blood orange. For food we ordered the breakfast tacos with house potatoes, the morning after burger with fries, and a side of French toast. The French toast was extremely decadent, I wish I would have just ordered that as my meal. The tacos were good too, but once I took a bite of the French toast, I couldn't stop...same for my husband! I definitely want to come back for that...and maybe try some other options too. The ambiance during this time is very live. If you're looking for a nice quaint place to have brunch, this is not your spot. If you like live DJ and loud music, good food, fun and hip environment.....check this spot out! read more

Had a nice visit at this establishment with my friend. The service was excellent. The martini glasses weren't full so that's why I gave it a 4 and not a five because I felt a little shorted on the martini. It was a decent dirty martini though. We shared a charcuterie board and it was $35 and definitely more than enough for two. In fact, we got so full from the charcuterie board we were too full to order anything else. They also had a nice old-fashioned, which was only $12 and we had 2 of those as well. It was really quiet mid day on a Monday. They also have a large outside patio. It is located downtown so they don't have a free parking lot, but I was able to find a paid spot across the street. I would return because they have a lot of different things on the menu that looked good to try. read more

A friend and I came for brunch on Saturday after shopping small business Saturday. We both had been wanting to try The Oakmont for some time. We were surprised to find that all of the parking spots outside the restaurant are reserved for another business with a tow warning, so keep this in mind when Mass Ave is busy. We were able to get a table for two right away at 11am on a Saturday which was a happy surprise. The restaurant has a very funky design, artwork and furniture is colourful. Definitely feels more like a bar inside. Our server answered our questions and we placed our order. Our appetizer came out before our drinks, and then after out coffees came we didn't get a refill until we could catch the eye of our server and ask for one. The fried deviled eggs were delicious and my basic breakfast was perfect - the fresh berries were perfect ripe and tasty. We didn't enjoy the donut holes unfortunately. At around noon a DJ started playing behind our table and the restaurant was so loud we found it difficult to continue conversation. This would have been fine and expected on a Saturday evening, but we weren't expecting it at brunch. I would return for after dinner cocktails, but prefer a quieter spot for brunch. read more
Very busy and popular with a Gen Z crowd. At 45, I was easily the oldest person in the absolutely full restaurant. Decor and atmosphere were pleasant enough. The strawberry French toast was fantastic! Service was friendly and quick. Probably not a new favorite breakfast spot for me, but a pleasant brunch. Lots of champagne popping for brunch if that's your vibe. read more

Food: We were there for brunch on Mother's Day. Pancake board was really good! Bacon is incredible! French toast was good but they drowned it in syrup. I would ask for it on the side if I go back. Biscuits = very good! Gravy = not good at all in my opinion. I like a traditional breakfast sausage gravy and this flavor was very odd and I could not eat it at all. Others got deviled eggs that were great, breakfast plate with eggs was really good. My son got sick from the brisket bagel sandwich, food poisoning type symptoms. Service: really nice server, but never once asked about the B&G when I was hesitant to order it but she told me it was fantastic. I am sure it's just my weird palate lol, but it was quite odd of a flavor. Ambiance: awesome Atmosphere, very bar like, loud music, people very loud, outdoor seating was very cool. Would like to try normal lunch but not huge fan of the brunch menu other than bacon and pancakes. read more

Absolutely delicious and vibes were great for a Sunday brunch. My friend and I were seated at the bar because we didn't make a reservation but recommend doing so if you prefer table seating. The breakfast tacos changed my life; the steak was so flavorful and tender! The pancakes were soaked in syrup so they were very sweet especially with the cinnamon butter on top. They're more of a miss but still good! Staff were super friendly. read more
