The views alone are worth the trip. Rolling hills, open skies, and quiet moments that make you forget the pace of DC entirely. What made the experience unforgettable for me was exploring the grounds. The stables are absolutely beautiful, and getting to visit the horses added such a special, personal touch. And yes... I have to mention Cupcake --the sweetest pony who completely stole the show. The fire pits were another highlight. There's something about sitting by the fire, taking in the scenery, and just being present that felt grounding in the best way. It's the kind of place where time stretches a little longer and everything feels a bit softer. Whether you're going for a day trip or a full stay, this is luxury that feels warm, not distant--elevated, but still deeply welcoming. A perfect reminder that sometimes you don't have to go far to truly get away.

The high ceilings and architecture is lovely. I think one of my favorite areas was the dining area for breakfast. There are other gorgeous rooms to lounge in as well. The library is so rich with the dark wood. I loved that you can borrow/leave books! Our room had classic elegance. We had two queen beds and a balcony. If you're curious about pricing a little over $800 per night and that's in the off season. So be prepared to spend some money-- for a night or two, it's a fabulous experience. We had incredible service from the moment we walked up to the front door. The gentleman at the desk answered all our questions and told us about the car service that takes you to various place which is included in your stay, some were wineries and some were restaurants in town. We had marvelous service by Cayden while at the bar/restaurant. So gracious and so apologetic! We knew it was busy in there, but he made sure we were attended to! We spoiled ourselves with breakfast (my favorite space). The food was marvelous. We loved the pancakes and salmon platter. We split everything! Yet again, service was wonderful there too. The spa was gorgeous and incredibly relaxing for the mind body and soul! My friend took advantage of spa amenities. I think my favorite thing to do was sit on the heated stone lounge chair. The treatment room was beautiful. The massage chair could also be positioned in more of an upright position as well. Derek had some magical hands which helped ease a lot of tension I was carrying. He was also wonderful about checking in about pressure too. Some areas of my body can take more than others, he adjusted well to my needs. This is definitely a place to look at if you're up for spending some money. Your experience will be amazing!

It is perfectly themed to the area. And they even left a complimentary bottle of wine for guests to enjoy. The property is beautiful with spacious rooms, cozy window seats and comfy beds! The amenities were great. As a host they thought of everything a guest would need. They have a cabinet full of kitchen staples that are free for guests to use and even asked if there were any supplies or food we would like to have for arrival. And they are super super nice. Even though we arrived late in the evening, Eric still came over to greet us. We would definitely stay there again. Would love to come back when the weather is warmer to explore the property and take a walk. I cannot recommend the Windswept Inn enough! You can't go wrong staying here!

A Team Inspired by Michelle's Leadership…read more I don't usually write reviews like this, but my stay at the Residence Inn in Reston, VA left a lasting impression on me. What made the experience exceptional wasn't just the comfort of the accommodations or the convenience of the location--it was the people, and most importantly, the leadership that made it all possible. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Michelle has created something truly special. Her leadership isn't loud or boastful--it's evident in the atmosphere she has cultivated throughout the entire hotel. There is a genuine sense of care, kindness, professionalism, and connection that can only come from someone who leads with both purpose and heart. While I first had the pleasure of being welcomed by Pinar, whose warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality immediately made me feel at home, it quickly became apparent that the exceptional service I experienced was a reflection of Michelle's influence. The culture she has built shines through every interaction and every member of her team. Michelle has created an environment where guests feel valued, seen, and appreciated. That kind of experience doesn't happen by accident. It comes from a leader who genuinely cares about both her team and the people they serve. The consistency, grace, and heartfelt hospitality displayed throughout my stay were a direct testament to her vision and leadership. I would also like to thank Pinar, Danny, and Anna, whose kindness, professionalism, and thoughtful gestures made my stay memorable. Each of them contributed to an experience that felt personal rather than transactional. Together, they exemplify the standard of excellence Michelle has established. This was more than hospitality--it was humanity. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and reminded of the impact that great leadership can have on the people around it. Michelle, thank you for leading with such compassion, authenticity, and excellence. The culture you have created is remarkable, and it is felt in every corner of the property. To you, Pinar, and the entire team, thank you for making my stay unforgettable. Grateful To God For You All, Lonnel Gordon
