    Sip an Snack deal

This is the second time I've been in, and I'll definitely be making more frequent stops at OBC Wine Project. I went in with a friend yesterday with the intention of splitting a bottle and a charcuterie box. The place was empty except for a few Odell employees, so we cozied up to the bar and checked out the wine list. The woman helping us was very knowledgable, gave her opinions on her favorite reds, and poured us small splashes so we didn't have to guess and hope for the best. After our sips, we each opted to get different glasses - Cabernet Sauvignon for my friend and the Tote 6 for me. The Tote 6 was wonderfully earthy and almost smoky in the best way. We may have ended up getting a second glass of each of those after... The charcuterie box by Get Plattered was more than enough for two people, and full of two cheeses, salami, crackers, dried and fresh fruits, orange marmalade and cranberry orange blondies. We couldn't even finish the box! Since it was Wednesday, they had their Sip and Snack deal - 2 draft wines and a charcuterie box for $28 (a savings of $8). We weren't expecting that, so it was a lovely surprise! I'll definitely be back for more of that Tote 6, and the Sip and Snack deal when I "work from home"!

Pleasant staff. Small venue. Wine was average. Next to the Odell brewery. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They will not let you bring wine purchased at OBC Wine Project into the Odell Brewery, and vice versa. So if you go with beer drinkers your party will have to sit outside as that's the only place both patrons can mingle. And if you decide to try beer and wine you will have to open two tabs. Usually have food trucks outside for food purchase.

We parked and followed the signs to OBC Wine Project, which, we later learned is across the way from the brewery.

Much better coffee available around town. Espresso martini: 5/5 very dark. Great place to work with colleagues or alone. People seem to like to meet up here and talk vs work though. The electrical outlets are SPARSE. More about community than an extended office.

The bar almost resembles something you might find in a small European hotel, which may suggest they are aiming for a slightly upscale tone, though it never feels pretentious. The seating is varied, with small tables and retro chairs that seem intentionally chosen rather than bought in bulk. The spacing is better than most coffee shops, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling crowded. The back area opens up even more, and the soft drapery adds a touch of personality that appears to hint at events or just a bit of flair. The staff continues to be the standout for me. Everyone I spoke with was kind in a way that felt natural, and they knew the menu well enough to help me navigate dairy free options. I usually order the avocado toast on focaccia because it is consistently fresh. The bread looks oversized at first but is airy and soft, and the avocado and radish topping feels simple in the best way. The matcha made with water has also become a go to since it tastes smooth and well-bodied without that chalky, thin finish some places have. My partner and I visited during their Dia de Los Muertos weekend and tried a few themed items. Everything was good, and they were quick to suggest dairy free choices. Prices seem fair, even with the general bump everywhere lately. The only thing I wish they had more of is outlets. It is still a nice place to work for a couple of hours, but coming with a charged laptop helps. The overall vibe is calm with just enough energy to keep the space from feeling sleepy. It works well for coffee dates, casual catch ups, or solo work, especially for anyone who prefers a relaxed atmosphere without too much chaos.
