I have been here a couple of times, and it is about what you would expect. It's a movie theater that sells tickets to see movies. The main issue that I have with this is that I have to go to the snack bar to buy a movie ticket. Which means I have to stand in line behind people who want to buy snacks. I don't want to buy snacks. I don't want to buy tickets online because you charge a convenience fee of two dollars, which is ridiculous. I want to go in and buy my ticket in a line that's dedicated for just buying tickets. You know, I like it used to be back in the good old days. Also, WTF is the issue with people who think it's OK to whisper during a movie? I am there to see the movie, not to listen to you whisper. And if you brought your kids, keep them quiet. I didn't pay a premium ticket price to listen to your kid talk through the movie. And keep your phones off during the movie. I don't want to be distracted by your phone when I'm trying to watch a movie. People who can't behave around others should just stay home. It should be common courtesy, but more and more often people are discourteous. read more

This Janky theater was nice. Now the seats are all busted and cracked, the little table is peeling. The chair controls barely work, the springs in the seat are not really what I want to feel, anf it smells like urine and disappointment. $24 for a popcorn and 2 sodas is ridiculous, but if Im going to pay that much plus $24 for 2 tickets, I would hope for a larger screen, better sound system and a little confidence that my seat isnt going to fall apart on me. read more

This theater feels like it's seen better days. The furniture is beat up and falling apart, the theaters are much smaller in size than the ones back in San Antonio and the "cleaning" leaves a lot of be desired (spoiler: don't make the mistake of shining a flash light in your cup holder like I did, it's absolutely disgusting). The vending-style popcorn machine was cool and the food pickup station idea was well-executed (minus the receipt scanner - I had to enter the code manually). The Supreme pizza we had was very good and tasted freshly made vs. frozen. Concessions are very expensive - it was easily over $30 for a pizza, large popcorn and drink - and even though their menu is available online, it is not a full menu (i.e. doesn't even list popcorn or fountain drinks on it). The projector and sound system quality are both sub-par. The projector seemed dim like it needed a new bulb and the sound system is honestly too loud. And it's not balanced at all - there's little to no bass but plenty of volume and instead of hearing a surround-sound it's very front-center focused. read more

Since we moved here we searched for a movie theater that was close and that we would love! We are so happy that we found Santikos! We noticed that it was a small movie theater but once inside you realize how great this establishment really is! Once you arrive there is vast parking since it's in a shopping center. Once inside you get the movie theater vibe with posters and designs all around. There is a bar located to the right if you're in the mood for a drink and you can also bring it inside with you to the movie. The have various options for food and drinks at the concession stand and also have seat delivery service as well! You can also pickup food at the heat boxes that are grab and go food when you order! It's great? The sears also recline and come with a cooling cup holster to keep your drinks cold. Also they have military discount and $5 Military Mondays for active duty and veterans. I truly love this theater and happy to call it my theater! read more

This theater was formerly an Alamo Drafthouse but, as usual, Santikos managed to 'tacky' it up. It felt more like a vending machine than a theater. Hardly any employees and they were totally disinterested. The popcorn was beyond stale and they had just opened for the day. Previous day's popcorn, anyone? The seats had little illuminated cup holder lights that said 'cool' and other gimmicks but they didn't work. The volume of the movie was LOUD and usually I prefer that, but it was ear-splitting. The projection was fine. Just a disappointing and weird experience that won't warrant a return trip. read more

This movie theater is okay, but needs some improvement. I didn't see any staff, it's all automated by us customers. Apparently, all the seats in the movie are all leveled to be the same, not stairs, but it really isn't that big of a deal, but the seats made up for it. Now this was my least favorite part, the food. Everything was horrible. My little brother had chicken tenders, which had no flavor. My soft pretzel was very hard, and had a weird smell. Lastly, the popcorn also had no flavor whatsoever, and that all cost $40. Overall, it's just in the middle of things, needs to improve the food, but other than that, it's okay. Bought tickets online for my wife's birthday. Got em the day before. Their computer program posted the tickets on the purchase date and not the date I selected. My bad, shoulda double checked the receipt. Was told would have to buy two new tickets. But the film was sold out except for the front row. The New Braunfels I used to know woulda said "Hey really sorry, here's a couple vouchers for the near future." But no, not in 2023. Still not sure how I feel about this place...the recliners are not the best unfortunately, and the bathroom was hella dirty haha we also thought they had full service, order from your seat- they don't- you order at the front and then they text you when to pick it up from an express station. accidentally left my phone i knew the exact seat and row but they wouldnt let me get in to get my own property they wouldn't even let me buy even a ticket to go in and get it and they wouldnt get it for us. they didnt check or anything just blew us off pretty much ....cashier guy just said wait an hour and a half for them to "call us" back if they found my own property. and i must include they dont do routine clean ups (because they would have seen a phone in a seat if they did) properly they dont clean it was a mess everywhere bathrooms etc . read more

The seats are nice. I don't mind sitting in the very front row since the seats recline so well. The keep cold drink holder in the seat arm is really nice too. The food is good, but not the quality of the previous theater with dining that was at this same location. Also it was kind of weird and makes me think the location may not last all that long, the ice maker was broken and a girl was dishing out ice if you wanted it. Also I know theaters make a good part of their income from the sale of drinks and snacks, but this place had only two stations for doing those sales. Also weird, you could have as many free refills as you wanted on drinks. Nice for customers but makes me wonder about how much money they are making here. Maybe increased wages means it is a wash. The staff was polite and nice. We were there for a 6:20 pm showing. I miss the dine in experience of the previous theater ownership. And will probably drive to go to that type of establishment. Also people were talking during the show and the theater did nothing about it. Anyway, while it wasn't a draft house experience, it was decent. So this theater is pretty basic. The person at the front seemed so unenthusiastic, and was on her phone as customers walked in. There's security if you feel unsafe, and employees wear a mask. If you want to drop by to watch a movie, come on thru. They don't play any trailers for new movies. They just play the movie right away. They have a bar and food area to place orders. The theaters are super small, and the recliner seats are ok. Don't expect a luxurious experience here. If you're looking for first class status, you are better off going to Evo in Cibolo. So it's a 3/5 for me. read more

I'm seething. My family and I were so excited to see Coraline 3D this evening, but it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The 3D glasses did not work, and when we asked an employee about it they said they would try to figure it out, but never came back. We ended up watching the movie without glasses, which gave us a headache seeing as the movie was intended to be in 3D. We talked to a manager about it afterwards, and he gave us vouchers to see a free movie, which we appreciate. However, the whole experience still put a damper on our night. We bought these tickets month in advance, seeing as Coraline was one of our favorite movies growing up and we were stoked to see what it looked like in 3D! On top of this, we also ordered a quesadilla and were told we would get a text when it was ready, but we didn't. By the time we got the quesadilla, it was cold, tasted bad, and caused a stomach ache. Additionally, the bathrooms were pretty gross, and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was water and toilet paper strewn about the counters and floor. We hate to dog on the theater, but we feel like it's important for us to share our experience. I hope the faculty sees this and uses it as a guide for improvement, since the theater itself looked really cool! Edit: We forgot to mention that we could also hear the movie in the theater next to us very clearly the whole time! At first we thought someone's phone was going off, but we slowly realized it was the other theater. The noise was so clear we were able to pinpoint what specific part of the movie was playing. I paid for our tickets, bought popcorn and a drink for my grandson, ordered a lunch for us to share, and I ordered a water, which was served hot. I asked for a cup of ice for the water and they wanted to charge me again! I couldn't believe it! At this point I had already spent about $50, and they want to charge me for a cup of ice??!! I told the girl just to take the water off my bill. Then she said I could have a cup for ice. I told her to please just take the water off my bill. Never will I spend another dime in that place. This is the best choice to go to a theater in New Braunfels. They lose a star for not always having the movies that I prefer to see, but they do have most. If you're looking for reclining seats, with the keep-cool cup holder, they've got them. The staff stands out as always helpful, friendly and considerate. They talk to you and remember you when you return. I don't get the feeling like it's just a job to them. I've utilized the free popcorn via their loyalty rewards program. I appreciate the self-serve popcorn and butter station. The popcorn is always fresh. I appreciate being able control how much fat I'm adding. They will even give you a small container of popcorn seasoning if you ask. I don't tend to get meal food at theaters but this time I did because I didn't have time after work. The pizza was better than expected but the lemon pepper wings were too overcooked for me but had the yummiest flavor. Strangely, the honey mustard dipping sauce worked with it. ‍ I opted to pay the $2 charge for them to bring me my food so I didn't miss the beginning of my movie. Not sure I'll do that service again because they deliver the food uncovered. It isn't a restaurant so they might not be mindful of those things. The parking is shared with Gold's Gym members so it isn't my favorite. It is never not full. I don't mind walking but not if it's rainy and cold. This place is a bit smaller and I don't mind that but for now, this is my goto theater. read more

First to be completely forthright I was very salty with the closing of Alamo drafthouse. With that being said I will now talk about all the reasons I am not a fan of this theater, not this company, I'm talking about this location. In the actual theater some seats recline and some do not. The ratio I can't say because I've only been in #4 once and based on the way this place is set up I'll probably never return. The bar in front of every row of seats that you previously put your food on has been removed. Now instead you have a cup holder built in to the armrest, unless you are in one of the recliner seats then you have a tray that swivels. Want to order food? Oh for that you have to go back to the front of the building then when your food is ready they send you a text message. Yes that's right now people will have a legitimate reason to have their phone out during a movie while it's playing. Then once you receive this message you have to leave the movie go back up to group of food lockers and get your food. Then comes the choice of putting a pizza on your lap or using a little tray they have. My wife was pretty irritated by the girl taking our order putting her finger inside the cups. It's not the end of the world but it is gross. The large bucket of popcorn was so thin and flimsy it collapses in your hand. I've never seen such a cheap "bucket". For the prices of the foods it should be a pretty stout container. Also the popcorn wasn't stale but it certainly didn't taste fresh. The refills are "free" so you can get all the 2 hours old slightly warm popcorn you want assuming you want to walk up to the front to get more. The ultimate beef nachos were pathetic. Essentially gas station quality nachos with a chunk of cold ground beef plopped on top. The wife said the pretzel bites were actually pretty good but the only dip option is mustard. The drink selection is very good because they have the newer style touch screen drink machines. However they only have 3 and it's self serve so if this place ever gets busy the line could get long quickly. Not a problem for us as it was basically deserted while we were there. Again refills are free, but you have to leave the movie and walk back to the front to get them. Giving this place 2 stars feels generous but 1 star feels stingy. I have been to santikos theaters that are very near this location buy they don't have this experience. The other locations I've been to have all seats recline with trays. Based on my experience at this location I'll not likely return. Maybe it's not fair to compare this to a previous business but it's a major let down. Knowing how good it could be and being reduced to this. Covid killed Alamo not the business model. read more

I took my niece to Santikos yesterday and WOW! It is clean and wonderful! The new Arcade and bowling lanes are something to go back for. The soda/popcorn area is great too! So much better than Creekside. Went there recently and the seats and trays are falling apart. The combo soda/popcorn now serve small popcorn and smaller size Soda cups. Same price! The lady bartender made a fantastic drink and the beer was cold! Seats are comfy! Over $6 for a small soda. ALSO, THEY DO NOT TAKE CASH and there was no in theater food service! You must order your food beforehand and PAY $2 for delivery to your seat. I will be giving my business to EVO from now on because they want you to relax and enjoy the show not get up and down interrupting others during the movie to get food and refills. read more

We decided to give this theater a shot for date night and were sorely disappointed. They do not offer service in the theater, so you have to order your food and drinks before you go in the theater. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my husband ordered a pizza. The seats were too close together, and not very complicated. Food was mediocre, Service was pretty good, prices were a bit higher than expected. Appreciate the endless popcorn but would like to see more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning around the self serving stations. Tonight the ice was being handed out by a nice gal since there must have been an issue with the soda machines dispensing ice. Theater 6 was open early for our show but had an overwhelming smell of urine or something odd. Seats reclined and were comfortable yet trays were sticky and old popcorn littered the seats in our row. Hopefully they will pay attention to detail going forward and the fall remodel will bring more improvements. I'd go there again and hope for some changes. read more

Order your burger and then they text you when you can retrieve it. With assigned seating, they couldn't run it to your seat? Good sound & screen. Previews and sound levels were disjointed / jarring. Stood and watched a girl eating the popcorn with her bare hands out of the machine and then she reached for a bag to get mine. And when I POLITELY asked if someone else could get me mine she acted incredulous like she was doing nothing wrong. Granted she was scooping with one hand and eating with the other but still, no thank you. I ended up not eating it after I paid for it though due to concern for what happened before I started watching her. And this was after having stood in line for 20 minutes with four employees hovering around one register - presumably learning how to do it - however when a movie is five minutes from starting maybe start a train where one person is asking what the people would like, two of the others are getting it and setting it up for the person working the register...and then training them in between busy times! read more

I tried purchasing tickets two different ways. The first way was through the website. The payment page never loaded and my card was charged, I called to the customer service and spoke to a very friendly and courteous representative she informed me try using the app and my previous transaction will be refunded. I then tried the app which loaded an error page every time I would try to submit the payment for my tickets. I ended up having to purchase the tickets when I got to the venue. It was a late movie so seating was hardly an issue but I can see how those prepaid ticket problems can be an issue for regular show times if there are a lot of people wanting to watch the movie read more
