Kareoke night I was told there was no Spanish speaking songs allowed. That definitely threw my mood off! Other than that it was cool.

This bar DOES NOT PROVIDE A PRIVATE SECURE LOCKABLE RESTROOM FOR MEN AND THEY DO NOT INTEND TO. Is this illegal? Probably. Women's RR door locks but it is only one toilet, so be prepared to wait in line if it's busy. The two stars is for the ladies bartending this past Friday. It was busy and they were attentive. Unfortunately every beer that was brought out was the wrong one. Either there was a problem with communication or the staff isn't familiar with their taps. Not really upset about it as the bill wasn't bad at all and they were again attentive and BUSY. This is a locals bar. Plenty of TVs and one pool table. read more

Well I used to like this place. The vibe is usually cool, but I didn't realize my kind was not welcome. Apparently they've gone full red pill, white power MAGA crazy since the last time I went (years ago, but same management) because they don't "allow" any Spanish music to be played. Weird since a huge percentage of their customers are Latino and a lot of the staff are apparently Latino as well. It makes me sick that our culture isn't allowed to exist here, but I digress. I tried getting some sort of explanation (see photos) for what I experienced, but the owner didn't feel like addressing it. The bartender who responded and tried to alleviate the situation was kind, but ultimately it boiled down to them just following orders. So the burden of elaboration fell back on the owner who could not be bothered. There are plenty of dive bars around to go to that aren't going to make people feel like garbage for who they are. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up banning more ethnic forms of expression or doing something worse down the line to appease to the local bigot population. Racism (and being passive about it) is a slippery slope, and it's unfolding right under our noses, even in diverse SoCal. Just wanted to let people know what kind of place this is and that they'll take hard earned money from brown people as long as we shut up and act white. read more

This bar is homophobic! I came to this bar with a few friends and around 1:15am I went up to the bar to grab 3 drinks for my friends and myself and was told that the bar was closed already. I looked at the time and was so confused so I went back to my table because the bartender just walked away. Back at the table my friends were also confused as to why I was walking back with no drinks. I told them what the bartender told me so my friend who is "girly looking" got up and went to the bar and came back with the 3 drinks. I believe inclusivity and fairness should be a priority at any establishment. Unfortunately, my experience at The Office Bar was a reminder that not all spaces treat people equally, and it was disappointing to feel singled out based on how I look. read more

It's rare that I ever post reviews. But after this experience I felt the need to let my fellow Latinos and people of color know about what it's really like here. My friends and I have been coming to this bar for a while now. Sang for the first a month prior and decided I wanted to sing again last night. When I went to request a song and put my name on the list, the woman said they cannot play any Spanish songs and when I asked her "why is that"? She said it's bar rules. That she can only "maybe play Selena". So I said okay fine (since the last song I did sing in Spanish was Selena). When it was my turn and I told her the Selena song I wanted to sing and she straight up told me "oh I can't play that one, I got in trouble the last time I played this song" -- Mind you this was the same exact song I sang the month prior. Overall, I was very disappointed by this experience and now with reading previous reviews with similar experiences, it's shocking. This is extremely unfortunate because we've brought a lot of new people here but as of last night I refuse to give my business to bigotry and will tell those close to me who come here what the culture is really like. Awesome little neighborhood bar. They make really good micheladas and have lots of TVs to watch sports. They also have a pool table, lottery machine, and a little screen to play keno. 6 times I've been to this place. So I think I've given it a fair chance. One bartender is super sweet and attentive. The other one has been rude and ignores you if you aren't a "regular". It wasn't busy, but instead of taking care of the person that walked in, she continued to just chat with the other person and then got verbally snippy. I can't understand not wanting to make money or treating someone in this way. How does that help your business. It is a strange contrast. So the experience highly depends on who is behind the bar. First I want to apologize to Sam the owner who is a really cool guy and ask his forgiveness, man to man . I'm pretty sure he knows who I am and still allows me to go there. I vented at a time that I was at my worst and wasn't thinking, yeah prices went up but so did they everywhere and his adjustments were justified , Its called inflation. I have to say that all that set aside , only basing it off experience and time , that this bar ( OFFICE BAR) by far is the coolest bar in South Ontario and I have tried them all. I've been to The Office Bar about 6-7 times for karaoke. Tonight, I found a random karaoke place on a karaoke facebook group and drove to Rancho Cucamonga to sing karaoke at some random winery. The parking lot felt like the type of place a shady drug deal happens in a random movie. Nonetheless, I parked and walked over to where the place. I couldn't hear any music and snuck a peek inside and saw only people 65+ with like 1/6 of them wearing American Flag tshirts and decided not to go in. Instead, I sat in the parking lot and searched for other karaoke places on facebook. I couldn't find a decent one, so instead I went to a tried-and-true place-- The Office Bar in Ontario, CA. I arrived around 9:15pm and 9:00 pm karaoke hadn't started yet. I ordered a beer and waited around for karaoke to start. I signed up and after a bit, was able to sing a song. I felt that I did a decent job singing and people were entertained by it. The karaoke list was such that you are automatically in the list again if you sang a song, so I just waited around to sing again. The bar was only moderately busy. I ordered another beer and a water, and waited to sing again. I finally sang again, but later in the rotation than should have been, considering the guy at the bar standing next to me sang his song directly before me. I ordered my third drink and another water, as I waited around to sing my third song. Third song never happened. In the time I was able to sing 2 songs, the karaoke host had sang 7 songs, including the last song of the night, even when patrons were waiting to sing. At some point, I had 1/5 of a water and 1/5 of a beer left of my drinks, went to the restroom, and both my water and beer were confiscated. I thought I performed sufficiently well such that they acknowledged my existence, but I guess I was wrong. I felt completely disrespected, especially when the person to my right ended up leaving, while there was an aluminum can with a dent in it that ended up staying there for over half an hour. I waited around until the end of the night, but wasn't able to sing again, as the karaoke host sang, anyone who tipped to jump the line sang, and his friends sang. I refuse to go to karaoke establishments that don't follow the simplest of requirements: don't take my drink if I'm not finished, and let whoever is in line to sing, sing, regardless of how bad they are, regardless of whether or not they tip. I didn't tip the karaoke host tonight because I tip at the end of the night to ensure they follow these basic tenants. They didn't. TL, DR; The bar took my unfinished drink for no reason, and the karaoke host took bribes to let people exploit the karaoke list. If you are the type of person who doesn't believe in fairness regarding karaoke, this place is for you. Bribe the KJ and you'll sing all night. Just make sure you finish your drink if you have to go to the restroom, otherwise it might get taken away. read more

At face value this place has all the makings of a good neighborhood bar, except for that the owner and his buddies aka "doormen" act like we are all back in high school and they are the big, bad jocks who "rule the school". Not a fan, low class in my opinion, and as a female it felt creepy. It's their place and it's their way or the highway - which as an owner it's his total prerogative. The second time around I wanted to sing a Spanish song I was told my the karaoke host "I can't let you sing a Spanish song" my immediate response was "why!" He's response was "I can't tell you" he did in fact let me sing the second song. I then sign up to sing an English song and a friend of the host wanted to sing the same song who had just arrived at the bar and the host had the nerve to ask me to let his WAF sing my song I had sign up for..... unmmm no! Nice spot if you find yourself in Ontario in the vicinity of the airport. There aren't too many options in this part of town for a standard bar that isn't either a bit pretentious or mostly empty. The Office satisfies that niche perfectly. Friendly place with regulars but not clique-ish at all. Folks were welcoming and approachable when I visited on a Thursday night. No food sold here, which is a bummer, and would be my only knock against this bar; however, there is a decent Mexican food place within the same corner plaza. Bartender handed me a brochure with menu and said that the neighbor could deliver the food there if I told them my name and that I was at The Office. I called over to the next-door eatery, placed an order for a fish taco plate (two generously-stuffed fish tacos, rice, refried beans, and some chips), had the food delivered, and they handled my payment without my even having to leave my seat at the bar! Those fish tacos paired very nicely with the icy beer at The Office and kept me from having to find somewhere else to grab dinner. Three stars shouldn't be viewed as a negative at all here - just a good ole bar with a happy crowd and plenty of ice cold brew. I'd say "give it a try"! read more
