I recently stopped by The Old Post Office Sweets and Gifts in Sequim and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent--warm, friendly, and attentive. It felt like stepping into a cozy local gem. The place was buzzing with locals grabbing meals and treats, which is always a great sign that the food is genuinely home-cooked and loved by the community. We started with their great big cornbread muffins--huge, fluffy, and perfectly baked. The tortilla soup was outstanding--extra hot just the way we like it, packed with flavor, and incredibly comforting. My turkey panini sandwich was delicious, made with real chunks of turkey meat (not the processed stuff!), and it was so generously portioned that it easily made two satisfying meals. To finish things off, we shared a slice of their yummy boysenberry pie. The crumble topping was perfectly executed, and the crust was wonderfully buttery and flaky. Every bite was pure bliss! This cute, cozy and charming place has eclectic decor. Ice cream, drinks, soup, sandwiches, pies and chili. Very small menu. The owner is friendly, kind and pleasant to speak to. I come for the chili and pie. Both are delicious. I add on sour cream and cheese with Fritos to my chili and get a bowl. It's enough to fill me up for two meals. But for most a bowl is nice and hearty to fill you up. A cup will want you craving for more. The Marion berry pie is absolutely delicious. A bit on the pricy side but that's just the economy inflating everything. I would say it's worth it. The Berrys are nice and tart and the crust and crumb are buttery goodness. I always eat this pie while I'm driving and regret not getting two slices. I got the Bedford ginger beer and it was pretty tasty. Overall, if I'm ever in the area and even if I'm 1.5 hours away I come here. Get yourself some pie and chili. read more

Lisa (the owner) took an order from us while we were on the road. We just wanted 'real food' (not-junky-fast-food). Score! We had the BigBird Sandwiches (were on special). Delish. Perhaps more importantly, the pies. OMG the pies. Home made, perfect balance between fruit and sugar, and on the Marion berry pie, a perfect crumble crust. These are the kind of home-made pies your mom, or her mom make, and you know you're lucky to enjoy. Awesome! read more

The pics of this quaint little shop got my attention and after reading all the reviews I couldn't resist stopping by for some pie - and it was absolutely worth it! This adorable spot has every sweet thing you could possibly crave, but they also have sandwiches, soups, and even homemade chili with all the fixins! I was on a dessert mission so I grabbed a slice of their signature Marion Berry pie and of course I had to get a slice of the pecan as well. They were both delicious! The pecan was some of the best I've had outside of the south. But that Marion Berry was the star for sure - a perfect balance between sweet and tart and the homemade streusel topping was a flawless finish. Highly recommend! The gigantic cinnamon rolls also looked amazing - but the man ahead of me bought every last one so I didn't have a chance to try them haha! You can get them with or without icing and according to the owner they're great either way. They also sell coffee and ice cream and there's quite a decent sized gift shop inside. Seating is limited but the location is convenient, prices are good, and the staff/owners are just lovely. (Just be aware there's a $1 charge if you're using a credit card) A true hidden gem owned by a sweet local couple - the pies are divine and it's such a fun, cozy vibe inside - definitely worth a stop! read more

Have been coming here for ice cream over the past year and a half. Always a good mix of choices (usually 8 flavors at a time) and homemade waffle cones. Pies are amazing. Haven't gotten coffee or savory foods yet, but I might have to try some soon. read more

I stop by this place every time I am in town and I make sure I introduce all my friends here. A nice lady, Lisa, owns this little shop and she makes THE BEST pies I've ever had. I used to not like pie but after tasting hers, I was hooked. She does this streusel on top that is baked perfectly and much better than the traditional lattice pies that can get a bit doughy. I ALWAYS get a slice of pie with a scoop of ice cream (~$6). There's usually only 2 flavors of pie but that just means they're fresh! She'll also warm up the pie for you if you ask. The whole pie is ~$22 and I think a slice was $4.50. I've also had her mac n cheese, bread pudding, cheesecake, and cream pie. My friends have had the chili and chowder. This is one of those delightful one woman shops that has a little bit of a lot. A couple styles of sandwiches & roasting soup selection. She has locally (regionally) made ice cream & sodas. It has limited seating, but seems to always have room for every body. i've met some interesting characters here, which just adds to the experience. Just a friendly down home experience, with reasonable prices, good food, and a throw back to a time when life was a little slower and the world seemed a nicer place. The sandwiches feature sliced turkey & a choice of fixin's on grilled sourdough. on radars cold winters day, the soups are two different hearty chili's & Manhatten clam chowder. A good selection of pies including marion berry & mixed berry (and they definitely look delicious & home made) She also has an espresso bar if your tastes run along those lines too. Stopped by for a morning treat on my way to Sol Duc for a day hike. Cinnamon buns weren't out yet -- "not until 10am," says the owner (also baker, soup-and-sandwich maker). "But I have these corn muffins that just came out of the oven!" So a butter-slathered muffin in my hand, I thanked her and hit the road. Took my first bite and was instantly sold! Wish we lived closer to this pie heaven. Best service from the woman that runs this bakery. We were too early for the marionberry pie coming out of the oven, but she suggested we return in an hour after the pie cooled. We parked at Robin Hill Farm Park and biked some of the Olympic Discovery Trail, returning after an hour to enjoy a slice of raspberry rhubarb and marionberry pie ala mode and coffee. Delicious butter flavor in the crumb crust. So wonderful. So worth finding this bakery. We also purchased cinnamon pecan rolls to take home (she puts the sugar topping per request). If you want a $5.99 pie go to Costco. If you want a fantastic, home made, still warm from the oven pie, you've found the place. My experience is from Thanksgiving 2018. I fly into Seattle two days before the holiday and make the trek to Sequim by noon. I go straight to The Old Post Office and inquire about a Cherry pie for Thursday and was greeted with a look that can only be described as comical. She said she didn't have enough filling as she had two more that were on order for Friday pickup. Then I see the light bulb over head light up and she says, "No problem, I'll make more for the Friday pies since they're late day pickups." SWEET! SO not knowing the drill I ask her if I'm to pay now or at pickup and I was informed that I could pay when I come back on Wednesday and she'd call me when it was ready. Wednesday comes.... it's 4:00..... it's 5:00..... did I get the blow off? Was I forgotten?? At just before 6:00 (they're now closed according to the sign on the window) I get a call and I rush right over thinking she's standing there tapping her foot waiting for me.. NOPE! She's still cleaning up and had other last minute dopes like me that were on their way. I don't think we're in California anymore, Toto! Super awesome service and extra friendly. Truth be told, mom wanted this pie and I'm not a huge fan of cherry pie but I couldn't get enough of this one. It was astounding with it's flavor, hand made crust, and crunch top. I was such a fan that when it came time for mom and I to attend a Christmas potluck I pre-ordered another one to take to the party. Needless to say it was devoured and everyone wanted to know who made it. I of course told them all, much to their amazement, that I had spent all day in the kitchen and had baked it myself. We laughed and laughed and then they asked where I REALLY got it and I told them the truth. Two pies in and I'm a huge fan and want to go back and try the ice creams and other goodies too. I love this place. We have purchased pies from her several times. Most recently Thanksgiving and Christmas. My wife and our daughters love the chocolate cream. I prefer the Marion Berry or Lemon. Great place for homemade treats. The cinnamon rolls are drowned in icing (actually too sweet for my taste), but the grandkids love them. The ice cream is a LARGE scoop - perfect for those really hot days. Nice selection often with some unusual flavors. read more

We were in Sequim as part of our vacation and stopped here for to have a birthday pie made. Lisa made us a Marion berry pie and when I let her know my favorite was actually cherry, she gave me a taste of her cherry Pie - which prompted me to buy a piece of that also. Both pies were honestly the best I have ever had. I am now fretting to my wife that the bar has been set so high for a cherry pie that I'm afraid I'll never have one this good again. I absolutely love this little bakery/sweets shop. I was traveling from Alabama, on a hiking trip in Washington, when I stumbled across this little gem. I could not recommend it more. I have been to Sequim area twice. The first time I ate at this fantastic place. The second time I left a message a week early asking for a whole pie. This is absolutely the best pie I have ever had anyplace. My favorite is the marionberry. They also have wonderful ice cream, soups, chilis, sandwiches etc. We bought chile to go and divine cinnamon rolls to go. On top of that, there is a great selection of gifts, I've found treasures both time. Anyone going to Olympic National Park should stop here! This is "The Place" to go for coffee, desserts, soup and sandwiches. Oh yes, ice cream. It is very small, and the menu is limited. However, everything, except the ice cream is handmade. Also, the best place to order to go Cheesecake, Pies, cinnamon rolls and bread pudding made from cinnamon rolls. The best lemon meringue pie I have every had...real lemon, nothing artificial and real meringue. Some locals go everyday for lunch. It's a great place to meet locals. read more
