Nice little Mexican restaurant on Old Litchfield Road. The patio seating was vast, but it was a bit warm, so we preferred to sit inside. Inside dining wasn't very big, but it was an off time, so there was plenty of seating available. They serve chips and salsa as soon as you sit. The chips were fresh and barely salted (which we like). I always ask for some guacamole with mine, I'm not a big salsa eater. Hubby really liked the salsa, but the guac was excellent!! Hubby ordered the 2 Cheese Enchiladas and I got the Large Taco Plate (I chose Carnitas and Al Pastor). They were served alongside rice and beans. The beans were nice and runny with cheese melted over. Hubby really enjoyed his enchiladas...they looked good, too. I asked for no cilantro (not a fan), so they doubled down on the onions, I guess. So many onions, I could barely make out what was in my tacos...LOL! After getting rid of some of them, I dug in. The tortillas were a bit dense, so I ended up taking the meats out of them and mixing it up with the rice/beans. The Carnitas were very tender, as was the Al Pastor. Our "own" gated entry to leave the resort, walk across the street to the choice of restaurants and we found ourselves at the Old Pueblo EVERY DAY! Loved, Loved the outdoor seating! Mexican isn't my favorite but our friends rave about this place so we met them for dinner. Service was great in the bar. Grabbed a table straight away on a Friday night and loved the atmosphere. Great tasting water, chips & salsa were fresh and salsa was hot! Unfortunately my blackened fish tacos lacked all flavor and they added so much crème, it was hard to taste anything else. Stopped in on 6/24 for an early dinner. We ordered 3 reg entrees & 1 kids meal. This place is always our spot for a good meal. We were the only table at arrival but then it filled in a bit. Our server was great but at times was away taking care of other guests all over the restaurant. Waited a while on a 2nd drink and then for the check. The fish tacos were good but I could tell it was a tad overcooked, it had a burned oil taste. My husband's tacos were good, he ate it all & my daughters fried tacos were good. The only thing missing was the chocolates we ised to at the end. Not sure if they stopped giving them out. Would have ordered dessert but there was too much time waiting around for our server to come back, maybe next time. Still our favorite spot. read more

Stopped in while on a staycation at the Wigwam. Petition sizes were plentiful for the price point. A tried my friend's spinach enchiladas and they were one of my favorite I've had! I opted for the chicken fajitas and they came out steamy and sizzling-- as they should be! A great go to spot! 1 star - just because its in Litchfield I've really want to like this place -- it's a great location in Litchfield and a convenient spot where our group likes to meet up for happy hour. We've been coming for years, but over time we've had to stop ordering the food entirely, as the quality and taste (yuk!) has consistently let us down visit after visit. The cocktails haven't fared much better. The mixed drinks have never impressed us, and the margaritas are still being made with a premade sour mix -- which in 2026 feels like a missed opportunity when so many places have moved toward fresh, quality ingredients. We've given up on the cocktail menu altogether and now just order wine or seltzers, since those come straight from a bottle or can. Service is always slow and unremarkable on our visits -- nothing about the experience has ever made us feel like our business was appreciated. It's genuinely disappointing, because the location has so much potential and could be a real asset to the area. We keep hoping things will turn around, but haven't seen it yet. For now, it's no longer on our list of places to go. read more

Hello my friends, Jen & I traveled to the West side of the valley from Gilbert to visit my daughter in law Kylene, after a good visit with her we decided to go and have a bite to eat The Old Pueblo Cafe was our decision so off we went, upon arrival the appearance of The Old Pueblo looked very nice outside & inside it's not the size of a full restaurant but still very nice & cozy, the inside is nicely done with its decor, we were greeted and seated upon entering with a very friendly staff member, as I was sitting there I like to look around to see what others have ordered ( I'm a visual person) to get an idea of what I might like, we all three ordered something a little different. It didn't take long for our dishes to be served and we started right in. I was very happy with my choice as well as Jen & Kylene, I am a Big Spanish Rice eater so that was my first to try have to say it was one of the best tasting I've had in a long time, it had flavor and it was fluffy, overall we all enjoyed our meals, I would suggest you give this place a try and hope you have a great experience as we did, Thanks Kylene for suggesting The Old Pueblo Cafe. Great Mexican restaurant. Love the indoor seating but couldn't waste a beautiful night indoors so stayed outdoors. We had the Taquitos and the chicken chimichanga. Both were very good. We've been twice now. Being a native New Mexican, I know good Mexican food. This place is really good. I had the menudo the first time and posole the second. They were both strong contenders (ding ding). My husband had the enchiladas the first time and tacos the second. He couldn't get over the beans and rice. It reminded him of his childhood. Very nostalgic. He also enjoyed both meals thoroughly. The shrimp ceviche is the chefs kiss. The second time we came, our order was taking awhile. They checked on us several times and told us after about 25 minutes that our order had been accidentally taken to another table. They were going to get us our food asap. It happens..we weren't too upset. The manager brought the order out and comped our entire meal. I must say I was not expecting such great customer service but I am thankful for this. This used to be one of our favorites. Last couple times (both times taking out of state guests) the service was horrible. NOT the server, the length of time getting food. Both time we waited over an hour after ordering. The last time I spoke with the manager and she had nothing but excuses. Blamed a big rush that was unexpected, yet they never mentioned it during our wait. As a manager, she should have at least visited tables and explained/apologized and or offered a complimentary dessert, appetizer or drink. Saw a couple other dissatisfied customers leave before getting their food. This happened twice in a 10 day period. Great spot tucked in downtown Litchfield. Parking is on the street. Reviews seem to be all over the place, but we really enjoyed the service and the food. Our server came out right away and food was delivered on time. Tableside chips and salsa were delicious. You never know what you're going to get at some places with their chips and salsa, but theirs were really good. We also ordered their guac as a starter. Food was super tasty and full of flavor. We had the Chile Relleno and their ground beef burrito. Both were great. We also ordered their green tamale a la carte to try it out, and it was fantastic! We met up with a friend for lunch here and we greatly enjoyed our meal! My husband got the avocado salmon salad and I got the green chile beef burrito enchilada style with red sauce. The salad looked like it could be on the cover of a magazine and my husband said it was very delicious. My burrito was amazing. The beef was tender and there was good green chile flavor throughout. For an extra charge, I had to go with enchilada style and the red sauce was tasty. Chips and salsa were great as well. Service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed even though lunch time was busy. Delicious food and more amazing service! I ordered a wet bean and cheese burrito and a margarita. Both were great and hit the spot! I ate about half then was going to get a box. Right before we left, my clumsy self knocked my whole ice water into my burrito plate. I assured the waitress it was totally on me and don't worry about it I'll just let it go. She comes back 5 minutes later with a brand new, packaged to go wet burrito since I ruined mine. Amazing!!! She was the kindest and I am so appreciative! We will return based on that one experience. I wanted to be fair with Old Pueblo after my last terrible experience, so I decided to give them a try on Tuesday night, when it was much slower. To my surprise, it was the same terrible service. While we were seated right away, I had to ask the hostess where our server was after waiting for 30 minutes. After our server did show up, we ordered drinks and our meal. There was a table next to us that was served sizzling Fajitas. The caramelized beef an onions smelled so good, that I ordered that. She did bring our drinks right away, and then we waited and waited. In another 30 minutes my Fajitas showed up. There was no sizzle, no caramelized onions. The dish was 20 totally underdone, that I didn't eat it. I informed our server, agreed that they weren't right and knock $10.00 off of the meal that I didn't eat. The staff here seems so inexperienced. If you want a good food in a timely manner, I suggest dining elsewhere. All in all, we spent a total of an hour and a half on such a disappointing experience. I won't be back anytime soon. There are way too many other restaurants that appreciate my business. I have never felt so invisible! read more

I normally love Old Pueblo go there quite often for good food. We went there way out of town Guest and I. Granted, I know it was a Saturday we replaced our order. We ordered a queso and chips we were there then our waiter came and took our order for our food. We were there an hour and 20 minutes and I kept asking them. where's my food where's my food? He said well we had a lot of other parties coming and I said yeah parties after me and they already got their food and we sat there an hour and 20 minutes no food. Oh well we can pack your order to go. That will be another 20 minutes. I'm sorry I didn't have another 20 minutes to spare. I was very disappointed in the staff. All they said was oh we're sorry. The enchilada was good and the chicken taco was okay, but the chicken was cold inside. We ended up being sat outside and far away from anyone else so getting service was hit or miss at times. The food is decent but the service is not great. We waited several minutes on the sidewalk at the hostess station while multiple employees walked past, seemingly unaware of the line of people standing there. After we were finally seated we again waited for about 10 minutes before the hostess returned to our table with some chips and salsa. From there we waited for about 20 minutes, eating our chips and salsa and watched as the hostess seated a couple each at the two tables next to us. Again, we waited, with the other couples who we seated after us. Some time later a waiter emerged from somewhere outside and walked passed our table (we had been seated first), as if we were invisible, and took the drink order for the couple next to us, and then the drink and dinner order for the couple that was seated last. The waiter then disappeared into the kitchen. We sat there for a few more minutes eating the remnants of our chips before we decided to leave. Again, never had a bad meal in that place before, but the customer service gets worse every time we go there. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of that entire strip in the Wigwam. read more
