My spaghetti with rich meat sauce was amazing and hit the spot. I heard the Mangers special where you can pick 2 sauces is popular. My wife had the Mizithra cheese and the white clam sauce. If you're a foodie this is not your spot. If you're a tourist, with family or really hungry this is your spot. Got the garlic cream angel hair pasta with mushrooms and broccoli. It was good enough but I'm not going out of my way to return. The hot sourdough super soft inside and crispy crust outside bread that they bring you with butter is fantastic. The decor, ambience and smell of the restaurant is extremely off putting for a place to relax and eat. It smelled like Lysol and old dirt/funk mixed together. Maybe it's from people who come in post the beach and then trying to keep it clean. Idk but it was bad. Parking is plentiful as the restaurant seems to stay at low capacity. I actually came here for a Paint & Sip class with friends and had a great time. If it weren't for the Paint & Vino class, I'm sure I would have never visited this location since I literally live walking distance to one in my neighborhood. The Newport Old Spaghetti Factory is just better. For one, they offered this painting class upstairs which was so much fun and we were able to order food up there, while we were painting and the restroom was also upstairs. If they hosted another Paint class, I would definitely come back. The interior of this location, to me, is so much more grand than the Fullerton location. Food was good too, but I wouldn't get the marsala chicken again, I'd probably go with the lasagna. Service was excellent and we left full and happy and with a beautiful painting. If you have a chance to take one of the painting classes with Morgan, I'd highly recommend it. She's such a great teacher and uses new, clean brushes and paint palettes. read more

This review is long overdue. We were craving O.S.F. and we were celebrating my husband's birthday week. We made our way to the Newport location. We always order the same thing- my husband, chicken Parmesan, and me, potpourri. Everything was so good, as always. I love that we can rely on getting a yummy meal that is always consistently satisfying. Our server Christy was awesome. She took really good care of us and sang happy birthday to my husband. Was told to come in because there was only a 15 minute wait. We came in and waited 45 minutes while people walked right in and were sat. We even walked if we could sit separately to be sat faster and they said it wouldn't speed up anything. We finally were sat after 45 minutes & Requested bread. We requested bread 4 times while waiting for our food and finally asked the HOSTESS. She immediately went back and got us bread. My husband had to walk to the bar to get us drink refills. I really want to love this place for the nostalgia, but it just isn't the spot for me. The service can be hit or miss, although our server was lovely on our most recent visit. The restaurant is huge and great for large parties with a charming, nostalgic ambiance. Unfortunately, the food falls short...very short. The menu is very limited and nothing really stands out. Their sauce options lack a lot of flavor and aside from spaghetti, there aren't many choices. I get that it's called Spaghetti Factory, but even the spaghetti itself isn't great. For that reason, I have a hard time coming here. One thing I will give props to is the pricing - you do get quite a bit of food, including bread, soup or salad, entree & dessert all under $30! If you like this restaurant, then you really can't beat this deal. Unfortunately, there's just nothing here that feels like the right fit for me here. Sorry Spaghetti Factory!! read more

We went to Old Spaghetti Factory with family and it was amazing! The hostess Ava was incredible! She truly was one of the most kind and sweetest individuals and so good with our kids. She checked on us and made sure our kids had crayons. They also sat us by the trolley so the kids were so happy. Our waitress Monse was great too. We had a very disappointing experience. This restaurant used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but unfortunately the food quality has noticeably declined. The dishes did not taste the same as they used to, which was very disappointing. The service was also poor. We had difficulty getting our waiter's attention to replace a dirty water glass that had visibly dried residue stuck to it. This was especially frustrating since we were there for a family celebration. My husband ordered the Meat Lover's Pasta, and my son and I both ordered the Garlic Mizithra. Not only did the flavor seem different from what we remembered, but the portion sizes were inconsistent. My son's plate was about half the size of mine even though we ordered the exact same dish. Okay I haven't gone here for a very long time since I was a kid. We came because a friend was in town. The food was as good as I remembered the bread was some of the best we ate way too much. I got the linguine and white clam sauce was very good. Co got the house special pasta mushrooms bacon in a brown butter sauce I had to have a bite of course loved it. The server Christy she was great he some how she anticipated what we needed before we knew.If you go there and see her tell her I said hello. The place is in an old building the inside has beams and stained wood everywhere and it looks like an old train car in the center that's converted and has seat it's a little higher so they get a better view. They even have a second floor which I think would be fantastic we were on the first floor though. I would highly recommend if you're looking for some pasta :-) read more
