I had never been to the Clock Repair Studio before. I had looked at the reviews of area Clock Repair places, but it seemed that Clock Repair for wind-up clocks was not their main business. Did they really understand them? We set an appointment with Scott and brought the clock to him. He's a really nice guy. He opened up the clock and immediately recognized that the clock had been worked on (before we got it) and had various adjustments wrong. He's very knowledgeable and experienced with wind-up clocks, and informed us about each item as he went along. It had managed to run, but now that it had stopped, the adjustments had to be corrected to bring it back to a known running condition. He explained each step that he was doing. He tweaked and re-tweaked several adjustments and after an hour, he told us he wasn't certain it would continue running - although it was running by the time we left the shop. It has continued to run fine since we brought it home. We are very pleased. Scott is truly a Guru for wind-up clocks! We recommend him for anyone with problems of a wind-up clock.
