    Pub burger and Shepard's Pie
    Dorothy H.

With Wabasha being a small town, this pub is amazing!! I have already made it a point to come back 3 times in just 2 weeks. I've ordered the Shepard's Pie multiple times because it's so filling and all parts are so tender and rich. It could use a little salt, but I don't mind being liberal with the salt shaker. I've also had the Tuesday weekly special of pot roast. It's quite similar to the Shepard's Pie, just somewhat deconstructed. I love that there are weekly specials in addition to the entree favorites. There's parking spots right in front and members of the wait staff are incredibly hospitable. If you're in town or just passing through, this is a great spot to stop in at! I'll be sure to keep visiting every time I'm in the area.

Great little gem in Wabasha. We sat at the bar and both the ladies were attentive & friendly. We had fish & chips, very good. Recommend!!

We were looking for a place that had fish and chips and they did not disappoint! We also had the Tuesday night special-Pot Roast Dinner and it was delicious as well. We had been on the road for a week and a half and it was nice to find this hidden Gem!

We always stop here when in Wabasha. The food is great and they know how to pour a Guinness. The staff is friendly.

They fish and chips and the Irish nachos are sooo good! Not a big menu but they dominate the food they do make!!!

I love this spot and am happy to hear there is a new owner the carry on the tradition. It's in a…read moretiny tiny city among the Mississippi. The building is gorgeous inside and out. Lots of memorabilia from long defunct breweries. My Bloody Mary was excellent as were my fish tacos. There are multiple options for pescatarians though probably a bit more challenging for vegans, which is not unusual in this part of the world. While we visited their onsite brewing was on hiatus because they need to be re-licensed after the ownership change. Looking forward to that happening!

I went to Reid's Landing today and I am revising my rating downward. I still feel this is a…read morebeautiful location and view, especially for eagle watching (we were on our way back from nearby Wabasha, the home of the National Eagle Center). I had the soup special, a bowl of the French Onion Soup, and my wife had the Pub Burger. Although both dishes were presented attractively, neither one had a "wow" factor, and in fact, were bland and lacking in flavor. It's too bad because,I was really in the mood for Onion Soup. The onions were cooked well, but the soup really was lacking in taste. I think the broth tasted like canned broth and did not have any depth of flavor. My wife felt the same way about the hamburger; it also was bland. So neither dish was particularly memorable. So one less star for food. They also loose another star for their continued surcharge for both a credit card and a debit card. When I rated this place two years ago, they were charging a 5% "employee pay supplement" which is no longer legal. However, it is also illegal to charge a 3% surcharge on both credit cards and debit cards (this new law was effective in January of 2025). Restaurants CAN charge for credit cards, but it is illegal to surcharge for debit cards. In fact, not only is this a Minnesota law, it is a Federal law, and part of the rules for Visa and Mastercard. Another option is that restaurants CAN give a cash discount from the menu, but to do that the menu must show prices using the credit card price and state that they give a (in this case) a 3% discount for cash (note: a menu discount, not a menu surcharge). If a credit or debit card is used, then it must match the MENU price and the check needs to show the menu price total, and separately show the cash discount. I tried to show the General Manager this law and explain it, but he was very dismissive and borderline rude. At first he tried to tell me their was a discount for paying in cash, so I asked him if that was discount off of the menu price, and he said no. A lack of a surcharge is NOT a discount; it is a surcharge!

A few little yard arts, chairs, and plants...very welcoming! The B&B is on the left and the tap room is on the right, the garage, where the covered patio is. Co-owner Brenda was behind the bar. They had a good tap list, not overwhelming but enough to quench any palate. There was also a good list of guest taps, all Inbound. When Brenda mentioned she could pour me an "air" I responded... oh Lucid Air! That's one I hadn't heard in a minute! The tap room is very cozy and w Brenda also being a travel agent there is travel destination suggestions on the tap list. Mid visit the Brewer/co-owner came behind the bar, sorry, his name escapes me. There was a decent selection of vinyl....not sure if they have a record player or it's just fun "decoration"? My friend gave me the explanation of the names on the shelving behind her. Again....fer cute!! I won't divulge it, go on & ask for yourself, I think it'd be funner hearing it in person from an owner! One friend opted for an Inbound beer. After having Brenda pour me a taste of Chubby Chipmonk Pale Wheat, which was good & had just a bit of funk to it. As I often say: a funk I have to be in the right mindset for, which wasn't today. I asked my other friend f I could have a sip of his Bicycle Brown? There it is....that's what my palate is looking for! I opted for a pint of Bicycle Brown Ale... it hit the mark....as I still had a couple hour drive in front of me to the cities. Thanks Hoppy Girl for the delicious beer in such a comfortable & welcoming environment served up by a couple of pretty wonderful owners, cheers!
