Average American Chinese buffet. There was sushi but no sashimi and since it was dinner on a weekend there were crab legs. Those were the high points for me. Rest of the food was okay. Excellent food, so why the one star? The servers are like a gang of surly dock workers. One almost ran into us with a tray of waters, and although we apologized he rolled his dum dum eyes at us. Save the attitude weasel face. The waitress had a hovering (in a bad way) quality. It was as if she expected us to steal the chop sticks. After the bill was delivered she stood there and stared at us like one of the fried crawfish from the buffet. Thirty dollars was steep, but there was some good seafood. I'll keep this short and sweet. It's not bad, but its not great. The food selection is high, service is fine. Twice I have gone, just craving Chinese and twice I left feeling not 100% satisfied. The food is lacking in overall flavor and in some cases not as fresh as it should. Mindful, both times I arrived at peak hours of lunch and dinner. Sadly the One Buffet has not recovered from COVID, the food is below average, several items were not restocked, the Dining Room was extremely cold, way overpriced if not going to replenish the food. So a 1 star is fitting. I wouldn't waste my time or money. A shame, it use to be good. read more

stopped over during a road trip to eat asian seafood buffet. i saw one susjo chef playing with his phone frequently, despite the fact that the Sushi bar food was mostly empty. what shocked me was that he was not washing his hands after frequent use of his phone. he used the disposable gloves but was playing with his phone and making the sushi with the same now dirty disposable gloves. this should be a violation of food health code. i sincerely hope that the management will take a note of this comment and make necessary changes or improvements. read more

If I would think of all the restaurants in Texarkana that I was well satisfied with would be this place. I am not from Texarkana but this is the only place where I went to eat twice, I have not been in many other restaurants in Texarkana yet but to be honest, this small business has really been doing well and has been improving from what I saw. I liked it, this was the first place where me and my family went to eat in Texarkana and the food was good, the place was clean all the times I went there. I know during these times of Covid things have changed for many businesses, but this restaurant is one place that I will stop by and eat when I am in Texarkana. I like eating Chinese food and you can never go wrong with it. The two times I ate at this place I would say that it was not a disappointment. The workers over there were kind and nice. My favorite dish that I like to eat at this place is orange chicken and the rice, it is always well-cooked for the most part. One thing that I loved about this place is that the workers over there were making sure that we had refills of what to drink. The customer service was amazing to me and my family when we went to eat there. The other thing that I loved about this restaurant is just the way it is build inside, I like the building colors and the design of it, it is just different compared to other buffets that I have been to. This is an amazing business; it is a great restaurant with amazing Chinese food. I cannot complain about the food, but you guys are doing an amazing Job. I do not know much about the history of this restaurant, but it is far the only restaurant in Texarkana that I have been to multiple times and it has never been a disappointment for me. There is a lot of room for this business to grow and become big and I think that the price of the food is fair and not too expansive or cheap either. I always make sure to hit buffets at noon at the height of the lunch rush when the food is always the most fresh. Not here. There was no rush and I found out why. Meh. I didn't give it a one star because I didn't try the sushi which I did see being prepared fresh, so that alone earns a star. I took my family here for dinner. We had not been since the new ownership. It was much cleaner than before. The buffet was loaded . There weren't many people but they sat us at a table near what we think is the kitchen. There was a huge trash can and filth on the wall. The waitress was folding silverware next to us and sang along the entire time with the music playing. She checked on us once to ask only my son if he wanted a refill then walked by another time and grabbed the plate i had just taken a bite off of. the food was ok but most of it had no flavor . We sat there about 20 minutes waiting for her to stop singing and bring our ticket so finally we got up to leave. she ordered us to sit back down so she could get our ticket. she brings it and 3 fortune cookies for the 5 of us. will not be going back there.Might have enjoyed it better if that waitress had not been there. read more

I was extremely disappointed on many levels. The restaurant was not clean and the carpets were covered in stains. Food was either cold or over cooked and the meat was extremely chewy with an off flavor. I tried to make the best of it because it was our sons 9th bday. The food was extremely over priced. I'm only giving 4 stars because I hate the ice cream bar ...it's the kind w the big tubs and you get the scoop out of water and scoop it out ...to me it's just unsanitary :-( but other than the ice cream bar which is really better than most this is a great stop! The servers are kinda ashen faced and not very chirpy but that's ok they are very hard working and kept our drinks full...that seriously says a lot for them we drink A LOT w our meals!!! This place has a huge variety with a lot of American foods ...great for my kiddos who aren't super picky but they do have their limits :-/ ...dad and I get our highly flavorful authentic Chinese and the kiddos are happy with corn off the cob and chicken tenders :-) everybody wins ...it's not like other Chinese places this place is clean ...for now (PLEASE STAY THAT WAY...bleach is very inexpensive)!!! This place has the best chinese food in Texarkana. However, that being said, this is texarkana, a place lacking in good food options, and you must take that with a grain of salt. Most dishes are pretty good if you're there when it's busy, and they are brining out new batches. Otherwise, expect the overcooked vegetables that have been sitting there. Seafood is good if you're lucky and are there during a fresh shipment. Overall, typical buffet that satisfies the craving for chinese food in a town lacking good Asian restaurants. read more

Food is decent here and edible. Service isn't great. There was a bit of a misunderstanding because we came at night around 830 and the waitress said the chef stop cooking at 930 and restaurant shuts down at 1030, but we only have 30-45 minutes to eat. According to my math, we have 2 hours to eat. Anyhow, we ate for and by the time we were done everything was put up and they were shutting down and the time was about 930. read more

This is by far the greatest sushi buffet in all of Eastern Texas. Dipping your sushi in the chocolate fountain next to the fried okra is by far the greatest achievement yet. it is also the only place in Eastern Texas or boiled shrimp sits less than 3 feet from strawberry cake. We had a vegetarian with us, so we ordered the party sushi platter with an assortment of the vegetarian sushi, including the tofu tempura and asparagus tempura. We also informed our waitress that one of us was vegetarian. In these rolls, we noticed a pink meat like crab meat. Our waitress and cook assured us that this was crab imitation and was vegetarian. However, we looked up the imitation crab, and it appears to be a mixture of ground fish and starch. This was very disappointing, because one member of our group could not get enough to eat. The menu should clearly describe this ingredient which was not listed. Also, the waitress seemed nice generally but was a little awkward. At times she would just kind of stand near our table silently watching, and given our qualms about the sushi we felt our privacy was a little violated. She also commented that she thought that only girls watching their weight were vegetarian, even though the person in our party was male. It was taken light heartedly, but that still seemed a bit awkward and backwards to us. read more
